K-Meleon

WARNING: Adobe no longer supports Flash with security updates. Running the Adobe Flash plugin on your computer can cause security issues.

The Flash plugin allows K-Meleon to run Flash content like vintage games and animations. If Flash is installed on your computer, K-Meleon will automatically detect it. To check if you already have Flash type About:addons into the address bar, open the plugins tab and look for Adobe Flash. You can also enable or disable the plugin from the addons page.

Install the Flash Plugin

Adobe Flash Player versions 9 and higher run on K-Meleon. Flash Player versions 32.0.0.363 and higher will not run after a certain date. Versions of flash between 9 and 32.0.0.363 are available on archive.org.

To install the plugin:

  1. Download a version of Flash from archive.org below:
    https://archive.org/download/flashplayerarchive/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/
fp_17.0.0.191_archive.zip is the final version for Windows XP
fp_32.0.0.303_archive.zip is the final version for newer systems.
  2. Extract the compressed file and run the included Windows 32-bit installer. Check any boxes for browser plugins.
  3. Restart K-Meleon.
  4. Type about:addons into the address bar and open the Plugins tab. You should see Adobe Flash along with options to activate and deactivate the plugin. You may have to manually activate the plugin due to security vulnerabilities in Flash.

After you install the Flash plugin, you can use K-Meleon's privacy features like Flashblock to limit which pages can display Flash content.
