QuotebigD Just as an off note... when I log into that site... and I try to open a link (for a job listing) in a new tab... it starts to load in the new tab but then it stops and it gets redirected to a web page stating... "Multiple sessions are not allowed. Please close this window". When you use IE on that site, does it open a new tab for the link? Using KM, if you just cl

Try adding the line &Force Open in this Tab=ID_OPEN_LINK in your menus.cfg file. It should then look like this: LinkCopy{ &Copy Link URL=ID_COPY_LINK_LOCATION } LinkOpen{ %ifplugin tabs Open In Ne&w Tab=ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_NEW_TAB Open In Bac&kground Tab=ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_BACKGROUNDTAB &Force Open in this Tab=ID_OPEN_LINK - I am not sure this will work for your situati

If you right click on a link, the second item in the menu is to open in a background tab.

QuoteYogi However I prefer to fire FastStone separately and keep K-M as lean as possible. I agree with you on that. Also the write-up about it does not mention having a command line interface. Purrint does and that is why I tried it before I fully understood the request.

Quotecaktus Might there be a way to type the url or click on a link with out it using the cache since clearing the cache each time is somewhat impractical? Maybe use this CommandID in some way. ID_NAV_FORCE_RELOAD Reload current page without cache query.

Quotedisrupted in nt systems when appdata is used for profile then cache is: C:\Users\LEEDS\Local Settings\Application Data\K-Meleon\default\Cache I think I see why the author of CacheViewer opted for users to hardcode the locations. My location is : C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\K-Meleon\default\Cache Getfolder has no selection for this and see

I am doing some work on a macro named CacheViewer.kmm and I need to find the location of the cache files when KM version 1.1.6 is loaded and the profile is in Documents & Settings\application data. In KM 1.5.x the cache is with the profile. Easy to find. In KM 1.1.6 where profile with KM folder, it is found with getfolder(RootFolder)."\\Profiles\\default\\Cache" I cannot

I have seen one report that FF3 does not use Mork database for history. It uses instead one called Places/SQLite. http://hi.baidu.com/jouby/blog/item/f1f156369e21de360a55a988.html Does KM's change from 1.8 Gecko to 1.9 version make it possible to change to a better database for history? Lots of users ask about selective retention of records in history, but we don't have a GUI for

Quotedesga2There are two very important plugins; Bookmarks and History, that continue work basically like in 1.1 versions. I think Favorites is quite old, too. I really wish that I knew C++. I understand how to program. I just cannot find any information on what is in and how to use the various functions in the includes.

@ disrupted I think the block javacript is right. I had been working on this thread http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?4,88005 and may have left the block on for javascript. Thanks for info.

History is stored in your profile in a file called history.dat. It is a very unique database file. I don't know how to edit.

It may depend on the type of file and some code on the server from which you are trying to download the file. Sometimes when I click on a Quicktime file it just loads and other times I get a message box asking if I wish to play or save the file. I am sure there others on the forum with more knowledge of this than I. It might help them to know your KM version and have a link to the file whi

The close tab button is there. It is not red color. Just look for a small toolbar with two buttons. The buttons look like pages overlapping. One set is blank and the other set has a 'x' on it. The button with the x closes a tab. The other button will open a new tab.

They may all still be there. Check to see if you have on disk two profiles. You can find the current profile by using EDIT - CONFIGURATION - PROFILE DIRECTORY. Then look at drive for another profile. One with a different funny number dot default as its name.

@ gdv Quotegdv So on my end, with my settings, it wouldn't make any difference, but my question is would it make it more difficult or confusing for the viewer with different settings if I were to always just "Reply" to the last message in the thread? I have put two ways that are used to make sure readers know which post this is a reply to. I don't think the sequence is a

There could be a conflict between ResProfile and RestartKM. ResProfile requires KM to be stopped long enough for ResProfile.js to copy the files. If you were to run ResProfile and also RestartKM in the same session, there would likely be a problem. I am not sure if the problem would change anything for NoScript.

Deleting files is easy...but it takes time patience and lots of madness to do it by hand and one by one..But you know what..You do learn a lot about the way the browser is working... As

Look at guenter's post of Jan 13 in this thread. http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?3,87824 Remember the main thing is to backup your current profile just in case something goes wrong. There are a couple of ways to do this. See here http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/KmmResProfile If you use ResProfile make sure your backup locations is outside of your KM folder. I create a f
