I went to install K-Meleon on a new(ish) computer, with my preferred skin and plugins. To my chagrin, I discovered that the link for the Search Bar Plugin is now broken. Is the plugin hosted anywhere else? Might the K-Meleon developers be willing to host it on K-Meleon's web server? Thanks in advance!

Originally posted on my blog here: Original Post I currently use K-Meleon as my default web browser. But, with so many browsers now available for Windows, I wanted to find out which one would be best for my machine. So, I installed the latest versions of Firefox, Seamonkey, Opera, Safari, Google Chrome, Lunascape, Konqueror and Flock. I used the default configuration for each browser, with

To Fred: I tried to download the tarbell from Rapidshare, but I got an error message that you'd reached your 10 download limit. Would you be able to create a "collector" account on Rapidshare and re-upload the file, or maybe upload to a different service? Maybe a torrent would work better, or maybe the K-Meleon folk would host it on their Sourceforge account?

QuoteMike Chambers for the ultimate speed test, i installed K-Meleon 1.5.1 on a 100 MHz 486 with 64 MB of RAM running Windows 2000 Professional. it's the only browser that runs acceptably on it. i am extremely impressed. i just found out about this browser today, keep up the good work! Wow. We have an old Pentium II with 96MB of RAM in our office running Damn Small Linux that we set

I used the .7zip file from the main download page. It worked fine when unpacked into a folder in my My Documents folder. Is there more I could have done to create a "portable" version? What's the benefit of going that route? I just think a quick sentence beside the .7zip download to the tune of, "This download is better for users who do not have administrator priviledges

Good afternoon, For the benefit of users (like myself) who are a little slow on the uptake, may I suggest that y'all add a little blurb on the download page about the benefits of using the installer-free 7zip version of K-Meleon? For the longest time, I thought I was unable to use K-Meleon on my computer at work because I needed administrator priviledges to run the installer. Imagine

FYI: I added another alternate icon to my openclipart page. It's an "aqua-esque" icon using the image at the top-left of the K-Meleon web site. OpenClipart.org

Just cuz. ;-) But seriously folks, I just liked the motif of Mozilla the lizard encircling the globe. I suppose I could have drawn a different globe, but I'm lazy and the "firefox globe" was already on my hard drive.

...providing under-employed Google workers something to tinker with. Seriously, does the World need another browser? Let's do the roll-call just for Windows: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Seamonkey, Flock, K-Meleon (Yay!!!) I envision the Google campus. They've hired a whack of new college grads and they don't have anything really substantial for them to do. Ho

Is there a way to give individual websites permission to display popups? The webmail program used by my ISP uses a popup to create a new window for composing a new email. It's a little bit inconvenient to have to manually turn off popup blocking when I want to send an email, and then go back and turn blocking back on when I want to surf the net. I'll looked around but I can'

Excellent! Thanks for the help! Now, is it possible to configure so that there are multiple search toolbars? Like, if I installed the plug-in a second time with a slightly different name, (say, "searchbar2.dll") will I get a second search bar at the top that I could direct to a different engine than either my default engine OR the engine my first installed search bar uses? Or

I make extensive use of the URL bar to do google searches, eliminating the need to install the Search Bar plug-in. However, I also like to search Wikipedia a lot, which requires that I either navigate to Wiki first, or type in "search keywords site://www.wikipedia.org" each time. Is it possible to install the Search Bar plug-in so that it uses one search engine (like Wikipedia, fo

While I love the K-Meleon browser, I wasn't a fan of the icon. So I created my own featuring Mozilla the Lizard straddling the "Firefox Globe." I've posted the icon as a zipped ico file, a png file, and a svg file. The ico file includes true colour and 256 colour versions at 64x64, 48x48, 40x40, 32x32, and 16x16. Enjoy! http://openclipart.org/media/files/roystonlodg
