Yes, I did not load my adblock control macro. Too many sites grumble about adblockers and I would rather advertisers pay for keeping sites up than I. I had not noticed that the DLL was not included. However, I think it is more that just the basic adblock. I must come up with a way to measure startup times with accuracy. I will report back when I have some answers.

in kmeleon.js, line 253, there is a point instead of a comma That was an easy fix. The start-up time for RC over Beta 3 is very much less. I don't know what you tweaked, but it is great. Thanks ever so much.

Managing favorites in the 'Edge' browser in Windows 10. NOTE:: The Edge browser does not store favorites in the conventional way in which all the versions of Internet Explorer did. Edge uses a database. Based on the information siria provided in this forum posting: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?2,136001,138365#msg-138365 Requires the program 'EdgeManage' from this

anontemp123 I almost always launch my macros from menus created within the macro. Sometimes I use a button, but even then there is likely to be a right-click menu with the button. I rarely use or include accel keys in my macros. I add them if I am requested to do so, but that is rare. I am too old to remember the key combinations, but I can read a menu.

foliator I won't say that it has not been 'interesting' moving from Win 7 (32 bit) to Win 10 (64 bit), but K-Meleon required the least change of any of my programs. I got around the admin/security mess by creating a folder at the C:\ root named 'KM_PGMS'. I put each KM in its own folder as a sub-folder of 'KM_PGMS'. I run all my KMs as portable with my profile within KM's folder. To make

Slickone If my search was correct, you have 76 Beta 3 with both update 1 and update 2 installed? Do you not see any history at all? In Preferences > Browsing > History, do you have a check in the box for Global History? Look in your profile and make sure that you have a file named 'places.sqlite' and check to see it if has a value in the date modified field that is the last

If these computer things started making sense too quickly for me I'd begin to worry about my sanity. No need to worry. If things make sense, either Microsoft or Mozilla will change those parts.

First I must tell you that I never re-use history, cache, or sessions. That is just a personal preference of mine. For sessions type work, I use groups. Groups has import with options to replace or merge. If you wish to try groups then go here: http://kmext.sourceforge.net/extensions/ and look for groups2.7z For permissions, I export them from KM to a 7z file. That file can then be extra

How to join saved passwords, bookmarks, favorites, etc. from different instances (also of different revisions, 74/75/75.1, portable and "installed") into one? It should then have all the passwords etc. of all instances. Not an easy task, and getting harder to do if one includes favorites from the 'Edge' browser in Win 10. Lets try the easy case first. IE Favorites from the sam

siria It still stores "Favorites", but since last November not as single files anymore, but well hidden in 1 single cryptic database file: That is an interesting find. I have Edge, but only use it for one site once a month. Thankfully I do not have to use that site anymore after last week. I do not have IE on my Win 10. I did not think that I would need two MS browsers. The

I hope my post is on the subject. Are you wishing to have the last tabs available at next startup? If so, perhaps the macro at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1522294/LastTabs.7z can help. I really don't know about UTF-8, but the data is stored in a file within the profile - 'LastTabs.dat'. It becomes available at the next startup view menu. The file is deleted right after it is used.

I tried in 75.1 and 76 beta3u2 and just another click with my wheel (center button) and the scroll item disappears. Single-click on and single-click off.

One may force a 'refresh' of the favorites using the plugin. I have made a macro with the call to the plugin. Favfresh will appear as 'Refresh List' in the Favorites menu. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1522294/favfresh.7z

In preferences > browsing > tabbed browsing > general, there are options for closing the last tab. I usually change mine to be 'close the window'.

There are two possible solutions to the sort problem. Both require using some system outside of the Favorites plugin. I wrote a macro and WScript system a long time ago. The info about that is in the Macro Library. http://kmeleonbrowser.org/wiki/KmmFavRenAdd Using this system, you could rename the Favorite when you add it and you can place the favorite into a folder which is a sub-folder

I am not sure that I understand. You wish to have favorites grouped by subject the way they are in IE. If the favorites are grouped by subject they should remain grouped. Did you use bookmarks in K-Meleon? If you want to have Favorites in K-Meleon then you should change the item in Preferences. Use F2 to get the Preferences panel and go 'K-Meleon Plugins' and choose IE Favorites. Put a che

I have tried more tests between the machines that I have. It seems that if the code is extracted and run on my desktop then it will also run on my laptop. However, if the code is extracted and run first on the laptop, moving it to the desktop does not fix the F2/settings problem. I have reason to believe that the Win 10 on my desktop is not completely correct. Two other programs will not con

Will I be wrong if suggest that Dorian compiled b3u1 under Win10 too? And it works fine only there on 10. I have two machines with Win 10. One accepted the update and one did not. I don't think it is that simple.

confirmed again - Kmeleon 76b3 with update 1 also crashed on my father's Toshiba laptop with Windows 8.1 x64 (64bit) core/home edition after pressing the F2 key twice I have done more testing. I found the same problem on my laptop running Win 10 (64 bit). The really strange thing is that my desktop computer did not have the problem. I copied my desktop 76 Beta3u1 folder to a memory s

Do any other changes in Preferences revert back to original values after a restart? If so, run Help > Troubleshooting to see if you have write authority to your profile. Edit: I confirm that the 99 value cannot be reset to a smaller value and keep that value through a restart. My test in KM 76 beta 3u1. Edit 2: Setting fixed width to number of pixels does not work either. The radio b

Hachiko Anyone may update the CSS adblock rules. The rules provided are very old. Someone named 'Fred' compiled them back in the era of K-Meleon version 0.9. They way one would do it is surf the net and find a site providing an advertisement which you do not wish to see. Look at the source code which displays the ad. Try to make a CSS rule which does not display the ad. If you can then

I have a system of controls for the basic adblock plugin. You can get them here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,135175,137036#msg-137036 Updates for the system can be made automatic on a schedule. There are two image schemes for the button. You may chose whichever you like. If you have specific questions after loading the controls, feel free to ask them here. Edit: I jus

Just a little update with small bug fixes for history/flashblock/sessions... and to be sure the build work properly. http://kmeleonbrowser.org/files/kmeleon76b3u1.7z After the update files in the package 76beta3 accident if you press the F2 key twice. Same here. Win10 CHS. Can't open preferences panel, K-meleon crashs. Two with problem and I without the problem. I would have to g

There actually is still a setting in F2>Browsing>Window Diversion: Open Help menu options... Except that it doesn't work anymore. IIRC desga had added it to 1.6, but his additions were lost when KM74 was based on an older version again. But perhaps that pref could be reused again? I was sure that there used to be a way, but I could not get it to work in KM 76. Nor did I remember
