Still using the older 1.5.4 version. It's the last version that runs on my computer. Mostly I use it to watch YouTube since it takes less memory than Opera and so runs smoother. Lately though YT broke things by putting in a floating search bar at the top which (since it's not positoned/sized correctly) causes a strip at the top of the video to be black. The height of the black strip is

I too can't use YT or Internet Radio (flash based) with KM any more. Was working a few months ago but stopped.

Quotegordon451 The advantage of using certificates is that the process is completely "transparent" in the true sense of the word: you don't have to wrestle with complicated procedures, it's all done for you. Gordon. Except when you get those mysterious messages about invalid certs! I always refuse to accept them and they only pop up occasionally.

I'm curious what would happen if I deleted ALL certificates? I'm not a trusting type of person and I would do it happily if it doesn't destroy the browser. I'm not terribly familiar with what "certificates" are but my guess it is something to do with wretched online shopping. I never will do that.

What is the purpose of the setting that allows these to be changed? What are the benefits of http version 0.9 and 1.0 over 1.1? BTW With 0.9 I could not post to this forum, needs 1.0

Looks like they now consider KM 1.5 uncurrent so I switched useragents for it and FireFox 1.5 to Opera 10.63 and all is fine again. This browser specific web stuff is idiotic.

Quote4td8s K-meleon fast? Firefox 7.0a2 aurora loads some web sites faster than K-meleon on my XP/Vista computers. FF7 seems to have some RAM usage improvements. Uh, They're only up to FireFox 4... :-)

It looks like it +/- font by 1? Correct? So what does image zoom do? A real magnification of images like Opera does?

Quotesiria Click on "Control Center", to find your profile settings and the links to followed topics. The automatic email function doesn't work anymore. Thanks! I don't know why I didn't see it when I looked there. I suppose I was expecting it on the forum main menus. It's hidden! ;-)

QuoteJohnHell QuoteMXB QuoteKleon Flickr doesn't support K-Meleon, but your UserContent tweak at least makes Flickr a little easier to use. Good work again, Disrupted. I just fish 'em outta the cache. Isn't that a long path? I mean, there is an option on View menu (or customized popup menu) to view images of the page... I think this way is easier... Just saying. Quotesiria One thing I keep wondering, is why in most macros the tools path is spelled "Tools", yet the folder is actually "tools". Perhaps that's why on some systems/configurations sometimes a macro won't work? I do remember that such spelling differences kept one of my own macros from working, until I figured it out. On the other hand, one of those "Tools&quo

QuoteJamesD There was a problem with clearing in one of the versions of 1.6, but I don't remember the details. Seems like it might have been in the privacy area under the tools menu. Are you using a version of 1.6? Nope, 1.5.

Well I just found that the K-M cache dir was full of 35M of cached stuff which would not be cleared when I ordered it to via the provacy bar or the menus. Delete and rerun created a new Cache dir of course. I have recently changed the cache setting from 32 MB to 8 but that was after I'd run so low on disk space (due to the cache that won't clear - yes I'm down to a few free MB on m

nohttpd v2.1.0 a mini web server to return 404 if you use a HOSTS file to redir stuff to 127.0.0.1 so as to possibly speed up browsing. Feels faster to me Don't seem to see those lags when a page has been mostly loaded but the green bar still shows (I turned the throbber off, ha!) Not security per se but an adjunct. No use with Opera for some odd reason but provides good service with K-M

Quotesiria Youtube, hihi, that's the site that throws an "old browser" complaint on FF2 users and kicks them out, but lets KM1.5x pass through graciously (unless they changed it meanwhile again, haven't checked). Youtube LOVES K-Meleon. :-) It's my preferred choice for watching YT. Opera 10.63 and FF 1.5 download really slowly. FF 1.5 gets the old browser msg but I

www.facebook.com can be whitelisted with Policy Manager or NoScript but as you know you need to also whitelist www.fbcdn.com (or something like that, I am unwilling to memorize web addresses). Is there some utility (either built or extension/macro) that lets one list all the url's that a site has accessed? FireFox NoScript allows that but the KM port doesn't.

I find I'm often using KM because keeping Opera open is not good (it gets all sluggy (tech term!) if not restarted) so I have to open and close a browser often and K-M loads much quicker (without the loader even).
