JamesD, thanks for your reply. I copied my backup user profile into the 1.6 profile directory. It appears to somewhat work, but nothing else does, unfortunately. I also copied my toolbars.cfg file into 1.6 as well. Unfortunately, I have no icons and essentially just a window with most of the options missing. There is something major I obviously am missing, so I will just stick with 1.5.4.

Hello. I've been using 1.5.4 for over a year but I would like to try 1.6.0. I've spent about an hour trying to import all of my settings over to 1.6.0, but I am having no luck at all. Is there a tutorial on how to do this? In XP in 1.5.4 the settings are all under User/Application Data/K-Meleon. In the beta, however, I do not understand where the user profile is loaded from.

Thanks for that info. Strange though, even as I had accidentally hit F7, I enabled Javascript again, closed the program, but I was never again able to get FlashBlock to work. No problem though, the Profile Restore fixed it just fine (and a great option that is, too).

Well I still have the same problem with 1.6cp4 and 1.6.0a4. I unpack both archives, then run the exe and get the following message with both: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Hi. I have 1.5.4 as default install. I would like to try 1.6 but I have not been able to find any documentation how to run it from a manual install. When I try to run the .exe in 1.6 I get an error and the program won't start. Can anyone point me to any documentation describing how to get 1.6 to run with my 1.5.4 configurations? Before doing backups I cleared my cache & history, but I never received any error messages of any kind, and all the backup files were made. Thanks for the updated files though, I've installed them just in case. One question I do have though; what is the frequency of the auto backup & auto restore (although I'm not quite sure why you'd want auto restore)?

Quotedisrupted the differences between the 2 screenshots has nothing to do with font-weight (bold vs normal). IE is rendering text with cleartype..your other browsers are not, what you need to do is to enable cleartype system wide and not just for ie.this can be done in your system display>themes>effects>enable cleartype more help there http://samanathon.com/love-cleartype-in-ie7-

Inside the K-Meleon directory there is a folder called plugins, you can put the NPSWF32.dll in there.
