There are several possibilities, all described lots of times in this forum, but for most people the quickest way is: Menu Tools > Mouse accelerators > Firefox Now middle-clicks open links in background. A list with the possibilites: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/wiki/FAQ#mouseaccels

It's just text, simply move the text lines elsewhere like you would move some lines in a word document. 1) Start in browser menu: Edit > Configuration > Toolbars (=opens toolbars.cfg in Notepad or similar) 2) Use your Notepad's search function to look for "History" 3) Highlight the 6 six lines for this button, right-click and cut (or CTRL+X) 4) Place the mouse at

It's there, just at another place: Left of the gear button ;-) Looks like a light-gray clock. If you want it back at the old place, you can move it inside toolbars.cfg

Don't know how crashreport works... does it really have to be "installed"? That &6w3er vista machine tends to never let go of anything it ever got "installed", so I just unzipped it and put the two files into kplugins and km-root. The plugin does show up in F2>KM Plugins, but no idea if it creates anything or where. A copy of the crash message: VISTA 6.0 (32b

No freeze, just instantly the harmless "appcrash" message. Have found the crashreport-plugin, will try installing now and see...

Just my personal guess: for the same reason for which they forbid users to block javascript since some time. They aren't ready to miss even the tiniest bit of personal information they can get into their greedy hands. Currently at least experts still have a chance to toggle a hidden pref in about:config for both settings, but we never know if they kill that too some day. Please be so kind

Just days ago I had to find a date-time code too for current macro, wanting to keep it compatible with KM1.6. Finally figured it out after a major struggle as always, but kinda love it now, so short and magic :-) But this too crashes in 76beta1 on Vista: appcrash in km.exe the crashing line is injectJS. BUT no crash after deleting the red parts! _QuickNote2_getDate{ # **USERCONFIG**

Am no expert, and not sure why saving a webpage 2x per day would be so tedious? But since you have already blocked images and flash, try blocking some more stuff. Especially blocking css seems to free a lot of RAM, at least on my ancient machine. Have recently posted some macros for bandwith+RAM+Privacy savings, perhaps want to try. Start with "priv3buttons", it's the easiest

Actually it was officially announced just recently, and also mentioned here in our forum, that the monopolists want flash dead now. Here are some prefs and descriptions: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Changing_media_handling_behaviour#Audio_and_video_content The intention mainly seems to FORCE html5 though... But perhaps that one helps? QuoteFirefox "Options -> Applications" se

just-in-time-compilers... that reminds me, there are two "jit" prefs that can be toggled, as someone (you?) had mentioned here a long while ago. What it does exactly don't know, but testing can't harm. And there are several RAM limits in about:config too. Ah yes, and there's also that 'great' link prefetching pref, in F2>Privacy>Paranoia PS Voltaire

QuoteJamesDSome combination of things after using my skin will make the arrows right even when I go back to the Klassic skin which is shipped with KM. I have not found the combination yet Since Klassic uses the ID-commands and default skin the new ones, guess the ID-commands must have the glitch. Perhaps somehow your own Klassic uses a toolbars.cfg with new commands, or you may have a toolbars.

That's just the time difference between Europe and America, and exactly the same file. Would have been amazing if different ones are inside the same 7z ;-) Stupid logic of NTFS file systems, secretly saving in universal instead local time, but showing to users which time that was in his LOCAL current time zone and season. Makes that people in different time zones get completely different cr

Those various forum -errors have mighty increased since the switch to the redirected URL, but anyway, your first post did get posted too, there are now 2 of them. Can't remember that anyone has reported probs with sleep mode before, so it's good you tell it, but rather useless without also telling your System, your KM-version etc. ... Have no clue about system/cpu stuff, but just

Tried to reproduce that now. For an hour, tried really hard, various KM-versions, macros etc.! But no chance - no crash ;-) Also tried with the russian readme-page. Works fine too.

Nice pic QuoteSlickoneI guess I'm confused. There's only one place where this setting is in about:config, and possibly one place where it is in the GUI (if it is). Depending on which one of the possibilities I listed above you switched, each one depends from a different pref. But so far you still didn't tell us: Are tabs disabled completely now?? Are only middle-clicks affe

Have updated the kmm+button above to version4, it mainly fixes a wrong path for KM7X. Note that the filenames are also changed (to ori ExExceptions), so the old ones must be deleted manually. Must admit v4 today was done a bit in a hurry and not quite thoroughly tested yet, please post if something doesn't work  For KM75 (74?) an xpi-addon instead of the jar is necessary. Rodocop

So simple - the URL was already fixed! By naruman in 74.1 A quick test shows it seems to work to simply copy over his file and zip it up again to xpi: exexcept\content\exexcept\exexcept.js The differences in the two files are only a few lines, for "appending" and for adding the special KM-exchange-pref. But the META-INF folder contains checksums, which probably should be updat

It works!! Of course I can only test offline, but it does open the config window fine, and it does add the URLs to permissions.sql, that's all that's needed anyway. The only glitch is that it doesn't fill the URL-field on my Vista. Guess that can only be fixed by someone with javascript skills  As a workaround, I've added two lines to copy the URL (that was suppos

QuoteSlickone Somehow my setting switched on it's own and now links open a new KM window. How do I change it back to open in same window/new tab? I don't see a setting for it. Of course we can only guess How shall we know what you've done? Perhaps you disabled tabs completey?? Or perhaps you mean only middle-clicked links? Or left-clicks too? Or perhaps links from a bookmark,

Yep it's crash related. Have no experience with newer KM-version, but probably not much different to 1.6, which I know well: The previous and last sessions have always existed. Only in the old versions the "last" one was hidden from the users, and after a crash was deleted automatically at next browser start, when that crash pref had not been toggled back at a normal shutdown.

Still confused what you may be doing - how exactly do you run a "subsequent" search? If I click "next page" the results do stay 100. Of course google has a vivid life of it's own, which is changing occasionally, and my normal browser is heavily tweaked, but for testing did try now with a pure, unzipped, portable KM1.6 again: still no prob whatsoever. No trouble here either. My default is long since 30. KM1.6, with KM-UA, no Fox in string. It's been awhile that I experimented with additional search options, but this minimalistic version works fine (and probably is also among the default KM search engines, but too tired to investigate now ;-) www.google.com/search?num=100&q=%s

Yep... or components... The only tiny thing to consider is the changed location for "defaults/pref" files, users should move them into "browser/defaults/preferences" since KM74. Anything else...? But in most cases those pref files aren't that important anyway. They only define a "default" setting, Which is handy in some cases, but as soon as a user toggles

Quotepanzer Too bad File all tabs is for Km 1.1.x - 1.6.x only ... That's an utterly simple macro, using basic commands that work in all KM-versions and probably many to come. Not sure why, but perhaps kmext lists ALL macros that work in ALL KM-versions still as "1.6", if they do not require separate versions for KM7X?? That gives a very wrong impression to readers, scaring th

Glad it works now! Had not discovered yet there's actually a pageToggleJS prepared in toolbar.cfg too, cool. The placement is a bit confusing though, the 2 JS-buttons have the proxy-button in the middle... Good to know those toggles are not reloading the scripts, thanks for testing and info! But got me wondering why a KM-button would need manual toggles, shouldn't injectJS work wi

QuoteThe LastPass site only mentions Firefox bookmarklets. KM is not on their list. Do you know Bookmarklets? They are just javascript-snippets on links, which can also be saved to bookmarks. Links that are bookmarklets have targets not starting with "http..." but with "javascript:..." Since FF and KM use the same gecko engine, all javascripts should act the same, that mea

Right-click and click "new" for new prefs. Type is Bool Just from memory... The KM-Version only worked with the bookmarklets: https://helpdesk.lastpass.com/bookmarklets/ There was another thread awhile ago. It sounded like the website had changed their bookmarklets, so if you can find their new adress and change their code in the macro (kmm), perhaps it helps... or not... Ah:
