Works for me. It's possible there's some glitch in the forum software, perhaps depending from the chosen language? And your settings here are right? http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/control.php?0,panel=subthreads http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/control.php?0,panel=forum

Cool, sounds great! But pity it's going to be lost here, it sure deserves an own thread. And attach the file directly?

That extension is an autoit-tool, that means if it's broken due to the new KM-version, then it needs an autoit programmer to fix. No idea how to "merge" several bookmarks-files, unless copying them together as text and manipulating the "seams" afterwards, but needs knowledge. BUT perhaps that extension is only broken due to the spelling error in the macro or the non-sp

As far as I remember that's a special *feature* in KM1.8: it remembers what UA the user set on which domain, and will remember it for the future. To use only *global* toggles like in old KM-version, it should help to just exchange the macro "useragents.kmm" in the macros folder with the one from KM1.6 (still downloadable on the "Download" page) Would first rename the

Klasse! Und rodocop hat glaub auch eine Abhilfe gefunden: QuoterodocopGoogle says that this is Tagged Font Metric files and if to switch off an option 'Allow webpages to use their own font

My KM1.6 doesn't do that HSTS-stuff anyway, too old, so leave testing to you A bit offtopic but privacy related, from the german thread: QuoteMikkKM hinterlässt jeweils eine riesenmenge an tpxx000.tmf dateien (können auch etwas abweichend, doch immer so ähnlich heissen) im C:\WINDOWS\TEMP ordner, de nur manuell gelöscht werden können.

Regarding HSTS-cookies, came accidentally about this, sounds interesting but don't have enough time right yet. Do a web search for SiteSecurityServiceState.txt

QuoteJamesDPlease try this updated version of the adblock macro. Hopefully it addresses the question of what a new user sees the first time he/she installs the adblock plugin. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1522294/Adblockplugin22.7z Let's say, it's a step into the right direction ;-) But that timing "at next browser" start isn't quite convincing. Way too late.

QuoterodocopYES for Adblock - is NO for ads and vice versa. And user doesn't look for kplugin state - he is looking for ads state. Yep. Although it's a bit like the hen or egg question, it could just as well be green=safe/red=unsafe. But to keep things consistent inside the browser and with habitudes, let's just think PrivBar: red=blocks the objects on button / green= allows obj

QuoteDorianI guess the auto updater is trying to connect because of newsfox. Hm, so that's a #4 riddle to solve? Oy... QuoteDorianQuotesiria ==> the adblocker really needs a toggle somewhere for this auto-updating thing! Perhaps in James' macro? But first a pref would be needed. Personally I'd also block addon-updates out-of-box, but just my opinion. adblock should not t

Yes it's gone, intentionally, that was mentioned some time ago here, somewhere... half a year perhaps? But no prob: The private-message function has started working, which does send emails notifications too. Find this has some advantages, and if people like, they can still exchange their addies this way.

Because in THIS macro it doesn't fit. That pref changes the color for ALL pages that have no own color defined, not just about:home. But look at the examples pics with the animals: they are too narrow to cover the whole width, so at the side the background "color" is visible. And that looks better if it's adjusted to the used picture: one is green, the other black. Who woul

Ah I see... but still find it too complicated for clueless users. Nothing makes clear that a "date for rules" means actually "download", at least not without a 2nd look, and then it's still just an assumption. The menu itself is certainly good, but really wish there was a quick toggle "Download Rules Automatic" in the entry menu. And no idea how heavy such a dat

Me neither. Extremely rare "outdated browser" warnings. Try KM1.6 string too  Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.16) Gecko/20101130 K-Meleon/1.6 (and try without Firefox-Compatible pref?)

Thank you guys, that's very kind Ah yes, that color pref - am using it since many years for blank tabs, it's one of those essential goodies that sadly are still hidden from users :-/

Just noticed that postings get no Edit-note (anymore?) when only attachments are changed. Request: if it's not too complicated it would really help to see those too. Otherwise we can never tell if an attachment was changed again later, for better or worse.

Show a background-image (or several) at "about:home" (default Start page in KM74 or newer) The image, zoom, and active css-file can be switched via MENU. Optionally edit colors, position of search-box etc. manually in a CSS-file (default is "/macros/style_abouthome.css") Looking for nice background pictures? Take your own photos or whatever you like, or try the inc

Suddenly my offline KM76beta2upd2 always wants to connect to the web after startup (perhaps created new profile or something, can't remember) That was quite a hassle now to figure out the various places to stop it: - In "about:addons" (is there a menu now to find it?) the auto-updating of addons must be stopped, is unconspicuous on a tiny icon - in F2/plugins the update checke

There's still a slightly older bug about width of "!Text" buttons, defined in toolbars.cfg: The width is too big. If NO image is added, every button reserves at its right side still the huge space for a normal image. If a (red/green) image is added before the text and the image size defined in toolbars.cfg, the single buttons do get the correct size, but the total length of t

QuoteDorian @siria: will be fixed next update, hopefully without breaking anything else. Thank you @James Boy do I know that "going nuts" feeling!! And often about buttons too. I remember something that Commas in button tooltips were real killers, although that was for the old plugin command. The new one works differently, but who knows, perhaps still gets a bit hickup now ;-) O

@callahan Sorry don't know what you mean with reply, we only discussed another prob, your question is a bit difficult and probably a case for Dorian. But update-2 is only 2 days old, just look a couple postings higher here on this very page, in number4.

QuoteJamesDI build and change one button on the bar and yours has multiple buttons on a bar. Perhaps that makes a difference. Hmm... only the clicked buttons lose their pics, not the other ones, so suspect rather not the multiple buttons. But if yours works - let me guess, is it a double-toggle?? Because priv3 uses triple-toggles, which is very rare, so the prob could hide there...

Thanks for confirmation James. But no need to test everything again, it was really fixed already. All worked fine until 2 days ago. It's only update2 that now broke it again.

So your KM-version is just too old, that's why the new macro doesn't show. The plugin doesn't work so the macro is intentionally hidden too, as James already wrote: QuoteJamesD What version of K-Meleon are you using? There is a version check built into the macro. In line #315 is this statement. if (($VERSION >= 33685507) and (pluginexist(adblock)) ) { # K-Meleon 75.1
