Will K-Meleon be able to maintain current control over cookies once we reach the FireFox ver 44 code level? http://tech.slashdot.org/story/16/02/04/2221204/firefox-44-deletes-fine-grained-cookie-management?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Slashdot%2Fslashdot+%28Slashdot%29

I am making good progress on the new version of KMListBox. However, I just realized that I have not asked for review/update of the translation files for French and German. I did the translation work at Yahoo Babel Fish in 2008. Experience has taught me that doing this kind of translation online does not yield good results. JohnHell, rodocop, and Chanson Yu have provided new code for Spanish

So ... how to find the setting which could cause this problem? I wouldn't like to deletec all my settings ... Every preference setting which is not the default, appears in the "prefs.js" file in your profile. While KM is not running, make a copy of that file as a backup. You can then change any preference settings and you have a way to return them all to your settings. Stop KM,

JamesD made a macro that creates a menu for its settings, something with "control" in the name... The latest version of adblock control is here" http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,135175,137036#msg-137036

What are possible criteria for an event that can save the tab list? The only two methods for saving the current tab list are Sessions and Groups. Both Sessions and Groups are user initiated and Sessions also is event driven by OnQuit, I think. A clean shutdown saves the session. In the menu system the item "@TabList" is called to display the current tabs. It is an 'in memory

Dare I hope, this is good? Bad? No Change? http://meta.slashdot.org/story/16/01/29/0247219/slashdot-and-sourceforge-sold-now-under-new-management?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Slashdot%2Fslashdot+%28Slashdot%29 Perhaps good. This sounds promising. http://fossforce.com/2016/01/sourceforge-and-slashdot-have-been-sold/

siria LastTabs collects all tabs as they are closed. Since I only wanted the tabs that close at shutdown, I clear the data on certain other events. If I have an Onload or an OnActivateWindow event then I am not shutting down and all records of previous tab closings are not needed. OnQuit writes the data to a file which is read at the next start of KM and is used in building the menu.. Only

And another thing that would be great would be the ability to direct form history to never save form data from a specific domain. The reason for this request is that a financial firm which I use, has the login ID field on one page and then you have to go to a second page to enter the password. I can, and have, identified the second page for "Never for this site" for passwords. That

K-Meleon 76 beta 3 uses the 38.5.0esr engine. It is likely that it can be upgraded to use the 38.6esr engine? Seems like Mozilla has fixed a number of bugs with the 38.6 engine. http://www.zdnet.com/article/mozilla-firefox-44-update-fixes-critical-vulnerabilities/?tag=nl.e539&s_cid=e539&ttag=e539&ftag=TRE17cfd61 I know it sounds simple, but I have no idea how much work would be

Groups2 can grab all the currently open tabs. A click on "Groups" on the main menu and select "Save a group" will allow the user to input a name [ which could be just a number] and it is saved. See info on my macros about tabs as well as others here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,137101 Just to note, Groups2 is user initiated, PriorTabs is real time, and La

rodocop Thank you for the help. rodocop and JohnHell I had forgotten the old demo kmm file. I will add this info into it as an update, I think. I am working on a new demo and new method for language change. From KM 75.1 and later, I hope the language selection will be automatic.

I have been doing some more testing and I have determined that one can safely display choices which are up to 120 characters in length. Longer choices will write outside the selected choice display area. The following picture is of a choice containing 120 characters. Only a little more than 60 characters appear in the selection stack, but if highlighted, the full 120 characters appear in the

A macro which I wrote may be of use. Information on PriorTabs can be found here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,137101 If you still have the one window open, PriorTabs has all the tabs closed previously in the session.

Using either F2 or EDIT > PREFERENCES and go to BROWSING > GENERAL. In there is a selection box named "Open". Click on the selection area and change the value to "Netscape Bookmarks". Then just below the selection area are choices for how you with the bookmark to open. If bookmarks are done the same as favorites, then right click does the same as a left click. I do

Back in 2008 I had only some of the languages that KM supports today. I need some help to verify my translations and add files for Russian and Chinese. I have here the language files used by the KMListBox.exe program. Each is only three lines and must be encoded in UTF-8-BOM. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1522294/KMlbLanguage.7z I am requesting that those who have the language sk

Coming soon in this thread is an updated KMListBox system. The links in the prior postings are no good. That was some space on the server from my previous ISP. After weeks of looking, I finally found, on a CD-ROM, a copy of the code for the external list box and also the macro code needed to use it. That dates from 2008 so some work is needed to make it work smoothly with the current ver

I have an extension called "KMListBox" that works. The problem with it has always been the length of the string passed with the exec() statement. Now that KM can write a data file, perhaps it is time to revisit that project and see if it can handle items where an item might need more than one line. If I can find the time and energy. I have almost completed the update for KMList

When I close KM and restart immediately the history is empty. I don't know your current method for a quick restart of KM but there is an extension which works well with KM76x. I have never lost any history using Restart2. You can get it here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1522294/Restart2.7z One click on a button does the restart. A right click menu on the button provides opt

Yikes - history?! surprised smiley Is that some bug, or possible why Slickone can't write history? Which version affected? What exactly doesn't work? I am using KM 76 Beta 3. I have the updates except the last one which was about drag/drop. I don't use gestures so I did not put that one in yet. As to what happened. I put the code into the User-defined stylesheet and restarted KM. I

I had hope that this CSS stuff would help, but all that I could tell was that history no longer worked. /* -- check this for Yogi and siria +/ iframe { visibility: hidden !important; } I could find some iframe stuff on the page pictured by Yogi, but nothing that showed. I think the one at which I looked requires a script. Does an iframe on that page actually present something u

I know a picture is worth a thousand words, but this time I need some words. What do you wish the macro code to accomplish? How does one know if there is an IFrame?

siria and adodupan Thanks for the help. I am going to try each method. I used Notepad++ but with my old eyes, sometimes I just can't see the matching ( ) and { } very well. The series style by siria is simple to see but I also wish to try the return statement also. I have not seen that before, but should have expected it. I might get tasked to update some documentation. The whole

I am getting an error about some nested 'if then else' statements. I cannot see any line missing a semicolon. Have I not written the nested if statements correctly? There is nothing but comments prior to the function declaration. I have to get two more languages, but I need the code to work before I do that. This is the error message. The line number indicates that it the line containing &q
