Hi, Martin, just trying - did you happen to transport that .xml via cdrom at any time during the process? That would have made it writeOnly even after copying to and fro. You should be able to correct that in the "Properties" of the file. If not: close k-m, move (!) the file to your desktop, start k-m (creating a new file, now ReadWrite, hopefully), close k-m. Now just replace t

Quotestuck with an extra toolbar if I want peace of mind -- that, or get me some more education Well, just one tiny bit of education: you can comment out all other buttons of your Privacy Bar. If you then replace that button's images by ones of the same size as in your other toolbars, you just have one more button, giving feedback of the actual state of "JS enabled/disabled".

Hi, all, I closed away my machines, because of addiction .. Writing this from a cafe now, for 75 EuroCents per hour - couldn't resist to peek in here ... "the skins are always in the program folder" Well, it IS possible to MOVE a skin from the KM\skins folder to a ProfileFolder\skins folder - it does work, as long as no skin of the same name appears in the KM\skins fol

Hi, phenix, if it is IE you'd have to return to: are you really talking about bookmarks (collected in a bookmarks.html file)? Or are you talking about IE Favorites, which are, by Windows default, Internet Shortcuts (-> small separate files) collected in the User's default "Favorites" folder? Assuming the latter, and assuming you want to use IE Favorites from a mobi

Hi, marcus, try PowerMenu? this great little program gives you the following additional items in the SystemMenu (clicking the WindowIcon in the title bar or rightclicking the titlebar anywhere else) for ALL windows. Minimize To Tray Remove the window from the task-list and places the window's on the system tray. Always On Top Makes the window sit on top of other windows even

Quote40d8s I'd rather be prepared and having MSI installed in advance. Now, this is what I, in turn, would call "bulls--t". Prepared for? The day when her internet connection is down and she has a bit spare time to install Sun Java 5.0 Update 22? Some more software you'd suggest installing just for being prepared for other eventualities?

Hi, Miguel Angel, Quotedesga2 ... Firefox 3.5.x y Seamonkey 2.0.x. Lo que no funcione en éstos dos, no funcionará en K-Meleon 1.6.x. If your code DOES work there, please try with changed UserAgent in K-Meleon. This link may help: ASP .NET Forum search for "seamonkey" I'm afraid ASP .NET was not made with "standards compliant development" near the top of

Hi, guenter, so I was wrong here: Quotea forum that is meant for "K-Meleon bugs" exclusively, in an utterly strict sense, -- excluding even bugs of the GRE, an important constituent of K-Meleon -- and it is okay that bug triage is done here? Well, I'm afraid I have to apologize to some people for being too harsh with them ... Then I'd go back to siria's su

Hi, sd7384, and welcome to the forum. The feature you are looking for is called AutoFill. AutoComplete is for the URL bar only, and IS influenced by the history settings, that's true. But you want to fill text in forms, right? K-Meleon doesn't come with that feature out-of-the-box. There is one extension providing a basic form-filling helper here. I haven't inspected it

Hi. Miguel, I don't read Spanish well, really, and the Google translation is, well, - I'm not sure I understand you. The same seems to be true the other way. I do not see many of my questions answered. Let us try to make short and simple phrases. Vamos a tratar de hacer frases cortas y sencillas. That was the result of selecting the phrase, then right-click, -Translatio

Hi, kellyegirl, you are not the first, and you won't be the last to post about something that you experience as "buggy behaviour when using K-Meleon" -- which may be caused by ANYTHING, including bad site design and own misconfiguration -- in a forum that is meant for "K-Meleon bugs" exclusively, in an utterly strict sense, -- excluding even bugs of the GR

QuoteCan we move this to General?Definitely. Quotesiria What would you think about creating a sticky thread "Sites needing special settings", where a mod keeps editing the first post to keep it up-to-date...? My suggestion, NOT excluding siria's: Rename the whole "K-Meleon Bugs" forum to "Troubleshooting".

Quotesiria perhaps you can give an example URL?? @ Miguel Angel: That is for a site you are developing just now, right? IMPORTANT: are you trying with 1.5.4 only? Try with 1.6.0cp4, too. Try with the current Firefox, with Chrome, and with Opera, too - then report. Maybe this is one of the so called "features" that MS, as the makers of ASP .NET, chose to implement f

Hi, clutterless, as far as I can tell from the SkipScreen page at addons.mozilla.org, this is just able to skip unnecessary pages at the sites it is made for? I doubt that skipping captchas is one of it's options. If I were you, I'd just try with Firefox, and/or ask your question at their forum.. Otoh, if those captchas are easily legible, you might try to find a solution in one o

There's a link to the "Extension Centre" as the 5th, and a "Search Extensions" entry as the 6th item in the Help menu here. -------Sorry, I just checked again and realized those did NOT come with K-Meleon, but with the KEM (Version kemNT 5.5, I guess), which you seem to be unable to get running on Win98. Hi, desga2, I sent you some wikiText by mail. I had written that before uploading my "make portable" to drop.io/SoerenB upload. What do you think about the way I did that download thing, with the "prescribed" folder structure? Can you think of any method equally foolproof, but better compatible with a mere wiki article?
