Of course we would all like to see KM 1.6 right now. The facts, however, are that our development staff is tiny when compared to some other browsers. And most of that staff have jobs which pay the bills and therefore come before work on KM. If we have security concerns, then we as users need to take steps to go online responsibly. I have just today changed my default JavaScript from on to

@ Fred Thank you for the information. I am beginning to understand why linux is not gaining ground on Windows for personal desktops. I marked wine to install, but it needs to mark other packages. That sound OK, but then some of them can't be marked. The first one was libaubio2. So now I try to load that first, but it has packages that are not installable. I think staying with Wi

I am looking in the package manager for wine. I see the following items. wine wine 1.2 wine 1.2 dbg wine 1.2 dev wine 1.2 gecko wine-dev winefish wine-gecko How many of these items do I need to put a check by so that they will download and install? I just want to be able to try KM on my Linux box.

@ jose This is a long shot, but since your other installs do not currently work, maybe you could try a 7z load in English. To do that, go to the "Download" link on this page and download the 1.5.3 version in 7z. Note, you will have to install the 7z program in order to use this. You can get 7z here. http://www.7-zip.org/ Create a folder in program files and name it "KMeleo

@ jose When you say that you click on K-Meleon, are you clicking on a shortcut or are you clicking on the executible file itself? If it is a shortcut, make sure the shortcut's target property still points to the correct executible file. Right click on the shortcut to check its properties. You might also try CTRL ALT DEL and check the processes to make sure it is not already running s

@ foobarly You obviously have more information on wikidot that do I. I have an ID on the site, but have not set anything up yet. At least I don't think I have. Do you think it would be better to to a wiki type site or a pure HTML site such as I have on t35? I would prefer not to lean another language myself, but since it would be a group site maybe I should not dictate that choice.

@ kim and juliet Can you log onto Yahoo site, not the mail? If you can logon to site but not see mail, perhaps there is something in cache that could interfere with mail. Try EDIT - PREFERENCES - NETWORK/PREFORMANCE - CACHE and clear both the memory and disk cache. This is a long shot and I do not know if it will help or not, but will not hurt to try. Is your KM browser set to use Yahoo

Go to TOOLS - EXTRACOPY. That will show the keys and functions for the macro. If you are not using a KM version with tabs, then change the code below. ## for KM version 1.5 $kTabs?opentab( $_ExtraCopyPath )pennew( $_ExtraCopyPath ); ## for older version without tabs ##opennew( $_ExtraCopyPath ); to ## for KM version 1.5 ##$kTabs?opentab( $_ExtraCopyPath )pennew( $_ExtraCopyPath

Except for certain testing situations, I don't use any spoofing. If they don't work with KM, then I will go elsewhere.

@ Hans At what point in your macro does it stop processing? Is it during the opening the links, getting the filenames, or printing to PDF?

The kportal site is still down. The wikidot site may be only for wiki style content. I don't think I can use it for a mirror to the t35 site. Regarding having a sticky post and to which forum it should belong, I guess we need help from a moderator? I still want a site where other users can add items. I am looking into that. Free sites that have advertisements usually are up. Free

I have the item for using Yahoo’s new mail loaded in the HDI system. Disrupted, your synopsis of the info found throughout the forum was correct. I used that and tested with my Yahoo e-mail in both 1.5.3 and 1.1.6 versions of KM. Sira, I was not able to reduce the number of frames. The tags, <banner> and </banner>, which I found in HTML 3 are no longer included in HTML 4. I w

I just remembered something I did last year. This macro will allow you to store some values and paste them with accelerator keys. There are two files and they both should be copied macros folder of your profile. When you use Yahoo, are you using classic mail or new mail?

I don't think it would be simple. For this to happen, the software would have to store everything you filled in on every field for a certain time. It would take a lot of resources.

Quotedisrupted - to use that new whatsit email thing: needs useragent switch to ff 2.0 or 3.0(preferably 3.0 to avoid the realplayer message) - yahoo mail requires js to access some features and if js is disabled: no inbox, compose etc - to be able to view image previews in the inbox, accept all cookies must be enabled(default: originating site only does not work) I have gotten my id at Yaho

@ George In the userContent.css file, User_Defined_Stylesheet, items that are enclosed with /* . . . */ are comments. In order to make some code included there as examples become active, you must remove the /* . . . */ from the code only. EXAMPLE: /* * example: use OS colors if none are specified (like IE) * * body * { color: inherit; background-color: transparent; } * html >

Quotedesga2 You can use and modify my webpage code, look in my signature. That is the method, frame at top, that I have now. I think I will just make my top frame smaller. Thanks

Quotesira Perhaps a compromise would be to only have two frames, one left and right, on top just a normal banner, or an image in a table with the titles text beside it...? I am trying to reduce the number of frames and use a banner for the title. <banner></banner> does not seem to work. I found it in my HTML3 book, but when I tried it, the banner text scrolled up with the rest of

I looked at dozens of pages that Yahoo search provided. I now know all about meta tags, but not how to ignore them. I did find one page that acknowledged the problem with "refresh". http://www.cucat.org/projects/navigation/refresh/ I do not know enough Javascript to try this, but I wonder if a macro tied to the onload event could use injectJS() and change the value.

Quotesiria The usercontent.css works okay, but changing that one needs restarting the browser, so not very practical. I have added info in notes on each item that restarting is required. Thanks for pointing that out. Quotefoobarly wikidot.com Sounds interesting. If I ever get caught up, maybe I can take a better look there. If someone wants to start something there, go ahead. I will

Quotesiria It looks like those 3 variations have all the same effect, and it also shouldn't matter whether they are inserted in adblocking-css or usercontent-css: div { display: none !important; } div#t35ad {display: none ! important;} #t35ad {display: none ! important;} I have the "div#t35ad {display: none ! important;}" in my "userContent.css" file. @ desga2 OK, last </FRAMESET> did not have ending </HTML>. You were correct. My first attempt at frames, and I guess I missed something when I copied code from other sources. Thanks for pointing that out. I will get the change done as soon as I can.

Quotedesga2 P.S.; In index.htm (main frameset html file) have tags not ended; This line: </FRAMESET></noscript></noframes> must be: </FRAMESET></HTML> I cannot find the </noscript> anywhere in index.htm. Can you give more info or a line number for missing tag. @ disrupted I found that I had an old Yahoo e-mail id. It was inactive but now I have g

I have opened a web site to collect and display some of good information that is to be found on our forums. The site is here. http://kmhdisys.t35.com/ The t35 site is add supported, so sometimes there is a lot of "stuff" on the screen. Maybe I will have to pay for to get a clean screen. I will wait to see how the project is received to make that decision. Any and all comments
