Actually you should not need to identify as Chrome. My default browser string is Mozilla Gecko rv:31 K-Meleon 75.0 20150624. If that doesn't work, I go to Gecko rv:31 or, in a spirit of pure mischief, Browser sniffing is dead. Move on. The nature of Son Gokū is... Irrepressible!!!! Whichever, http://mp4moviez.in/ loads and displays perfectly. Note to self: Must look at "Top Hindi

@rodocop - Yes, I think I agree. It looks like it's probably a rendering issue when not enough page has arrived and the painting has to wait. Whatever, I'm certainly not worried about it. Just happy I have a browser which works. Gordon.

QuoteDorian @Zero3k, yeah the black thing is weird, I have the same thing with firefox, not sure why they changed it. Hi Dorian - I'm still using 75.0, check my signature for the hardware etc. The "black thing" (when it does happen) seems to happen on slow-loading pages. I have not seen any pattern to it. It seems not to be affected by the user agent string. The "black t

I had the same problem briefly, it seems without explicit instructions K-M was trying to go to http translate google rather than https translate google :O BUT, just for laughs, check in about:config that you have the following values: security.ssl.allow_unrestricted_renego_everywhere__temporarily_available_pref;false security.ssl.enable_alpn;false security.ssl.require_safe_negotiati

Quoterodocop Read this thread (to the end) and try set it by yourself. Thanks rodocop, it works I even remembered to set encoding to UTF  G'day guenter - it does seem to me that maybe the whole MimeTypes thing should be part of the K-M package. Nothing wrong with learning to be a geek, but many folks don't have that ability and give up when some file cannot be rendered fr

Quoterodocop MIME types are available through about:preferences page ('Applications' tab) Thanks rodocop. How do I add applications? In about:config? Gordon.

Merry New Year to all - John - I have sort of the same problem in W7HPx64 SP1. Sometimes I'll close K-M, then later open it again, it often comes back saying it didn't close properly and would I like to use the previous session? Other times it will load and run with no problems, then do strange things. Then I open Task Manager and find I've got two or three instances running.

Quotesiria Guess it makes more sense anyway if such comprehensive stuff is tested by people actually using KM74 fully and online. Been testing it a day or so... Works OK putting .xls into the Excel Viewer. It appears there's no in-browser viewer like for .pdf, but maybe that's because I don't have MS Office on this box. The actual adding of MIME types is a bit kludgy, but th

Quoteguenter Go to about:addons and look whether You have a real mimetypes editor. I restarted it anyway, on general principles. But that's a nice job there guenter . Gordon.

Quoteguenter Maybe VC 8 and VC 9 but not VC 10 build apps. For 2000 You'd need updates past the last update by MS just like JohnHell wrote. I never actually "installed" any of those. Just find the relevant msvcrxxx.dll and (IIRC!) msvcpxxx.dll, then drop them into the .\windows folder, was it the \System32? :s Over 2 years ago... The box developed Alzheimer's in 2012

Quoteguenter QuoteNitrolobo Thank you for your effortts, but both Beta 164 (even portable) neither version 74 works in Windows 98 and Windows 2000, even loading in them vcredist.exe and the dll. you say (Windows 2000 Pro Pack 4 just includes it.) This is upsetting, since many of us still use to run old wonderful harware P 2 and P 3, and K-Meleon 1.5 had been as a useful tool, now outdated. .

Hi Dorian - Not sure if this is the best place, but... I've uncovered a couple of bugs, posted in the "Bugs" forum and put up on Flyspray. FS#2 is really serious, as I can't work on FS#7 until it's fixed. However, with 74-31 on its way, maybe FS#2 doesn't matter? BUt I can't hold my breath for very long Gordon.

Quoteguenter Thank You Gordon. Why dropbox when You can overwrite my wiki text? I agree with what I think siria meant: you're the author. Actually your English is quite good. We all think we won't forget a language, but they really are use-it-or-lose-it I used to read Paris-Match for fun, and Theodore Storm. Now... On your project, if I understand you, please make sure you c

I tried to find the point of failure using Dependency Walker, but due to the SideBySide bug at http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?3,130132, it failed. Dep.Walker was brutal: there are bits missing, so it can't be started for analysis. So we have one possible bug which cannot be tracked down due to another unfixed (probably compile-time) bug. Gordon.

Hi guenter - I've had a look at your work, the touched-up file is in https://www.dropbox.com/s/eq7uoqam904ja57/KmResources.txt?dl=0. I noticed you have made all the folder refs as *nix, I didn't fix anything like that, I stayed with English syntax and grammar. (I always found German and French much easier at school than my native English But that was on a different planet and

Update. After thorough testing, it seems the first page on https://support.mozilla.org/ doesn't crash K-M. Only the second page, no matter which one, backwards or forwards, will crash the browser. And every time the faulting module is xul.dll. This time around I had enabled compat. And no, Crash Report doesn't pick it. Gordon.

QuoteYogi It doesn't crash for me.(Win7/KM_74-31) Deleted the Cache, went to the original child page, and maybe I should have restarted K-M. Crash, exactly the same as the last. Pointing at xul.dll. W7HPx64 SP1/K-M74-24, compat disabled, Crash Report, custom New Age useragent "K-Meleon: 74.24 (Windows 7: NT 6.1; Mozilla; Gecko; rv: 24.3)"; SSL2&3 disabled, TLS1.0, 1.1,

Quotesiria Hi Gordon, just noticed you're extremely busy with the wiki currently... And not sure if you're aware that the Home Page is automatically composed of various extracts from other pages? There may be a few other pages auto-composed pages too. I was feeling rather like Hansel and Gretel. Lost and confused in the Forest. (I'm not sure about the original folk-tale, but

Apologies if this has already been posted. Had a search result in Mozilla Support Forum > Firefox, and decided to try the parent folder, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions. As soon as the page had (almost completely) rendered, K-M crashed gracefully, with a notice that it had stopped working and would I close it please?. I tried the page a few times, yes it's reproducible.

QuoteJohnHell It hasn't any password protection. Unless MediaFire ads tricked you... No... When the MediaFire page came up I killed it because I had not expected it, then realised I could use DLExpert to get it anyway. I was surprised because usually when I click on a non-executable or unknown MIMEtype K-M will download automatically. I figured MediaFire was interfering with my down

QuoteJohnHell But... this helped to find and amazingly stupid bug with the toolbars and the K-meleon 74 window: kmeleonmovewindowbug.7z Click and hold in the empty space left by a toolbar (can be even in the tiny space between 2 toolbars) at its right, move the window and have fun. Happens even maximized... Confirm this to post to bug tracker. It happended in Windows 2000 and XP SP2. T

Quoteguenter For me. Forum is sluggish when the US are in the Net and no matter which browser. And for me the errors are the same with all browsers. It was like that periodically before. I have found that opening everything in a new tab gets over the sluggishness, which "sort of" looks like it "may possibly be" something to do with rendering. But rendering in all bro

QuoteJujuLand Seems not due to Km74 A+ To be honest, I cannot see any way KM74 could have such a problem/bug. It is almost certainly a coincidence: Quotesiria It was a long, long time until it first started for me too... However, I must suspect the BadBehavior script noted in my first post above. The various sources do mention time-outs as a side-effect. How long has SourceForge had t

I live in Australia, and it is well-known Oz has the slowest internet in the world. BUT. Every browser I have used to get this forum (Opera 10, 11, 12; IE 5, 6, 9; K-M 1.5, 2.6; Iron 27) has rendered it reasonably quickly, certainly in tune with (for example) Avast.com, Whirlpool.net.au, CNET... Certainly no more than 500ms to get it on-screen, usually much less, not even time to blink. B

QuoteJujuLand But in fact, as I said the folder is not important, only the good path in mimetypes.rdf is important. A+ OK, K-Meleon-root. The drive is up to the user. Gordon.

Installed the UserAgents.7z and had a play. Try this: K-Meleon: 74.24 (Windows 7: NT 6.1; Mozilla; Gecko; rv: 24.3) I found the pattern: : (:; ; :) on http://webaim.org/blog/user-agent-string-history/comment-page-4/#comment-88331, and tested it. The only UA analyser to get it is http://www.useragentstring.com/, "User Agent String.Com". It has not noticeably affected the Sou

We had kmtools located at (C:\Application Data\K-Meleon) . profiles.ini . random-string.default (default profiles location) . . . chrome . . . kmtools . . . . .
