Quotemyself macro is buGgy I'm sure now. Give me until monday night to come up with an own version - with loupe settings more flexible, too. edit: desga2 was faster ... This does NOT mean it surely IS the reason for your crashes, but it could well be ...

Hi, Charlie, have you tried with the Magnifier extension uninstalled? (Manually: Exit KM AND the loader Rename the magnifier.kmm and wservices.kmm in the macros folder to, say, --.kmx "a_lens.exe" in the tools folder & "magnifier.ini" in the kmextensions folder (if that one exists) may stay untouched. Delete compreg.dat and xpti.dat from the components folder

Hi, newman, if you compare that to the page being loaded in a different browser you may have installed? And on a fresh portable installation of K-M 1.6a4 (want to download and try desga2's cp2 from here?) btw: which K-M version, OS, CPU + RAM specs? Here, on 1.6a4 on XP SP3.5, Pentium 4 @ 2GHz, 1Gig DDR RAM: CPU load is high only for short intervals, not really freezing the machine

Hi, newman, the second checkbox in the second tab of -> Cpl -> Energy Options works for hibernation, too (not only for Standby mode as verbally stated)

Hi, desga, isn't that THE fix, rather than "quick". I tested a fixed reload.kmm in 1.53, and it worked fine. So this is not a bug in the core, but in an extension. In one that is installed by default, though. To report or not to report a bug, that is the question?

Hi, slayer, do you ever need the autodetect feature? If not, you could simply comment out it's buildMenu line in the translate.kmm: setmenu($__t,inline,_Translation_From_Autodetect);

Hi, the Continuous Reload feature of the reload.kmm displays like this on all my 1.6.04a installations: That is true even for a totally fresh portable installation (not shown here, obviously ..). This is on XP SP3.5 Can anybody confirm this?

Hi, Luqqi, and welcome to K-Meleon! This is not a K-Meleon bug. I have done a Search for you: Forum search for "facebok", search the last 90 days: (You can find "Search" in the top menu of this page. If it's not there, click "Forum List", and it will be a menu item on that page. After entering a search, scroll down for the "age" setting. Wo

Hi, I just had an idea, not sure if it's any good: Why not have a Sticky in "General", with a title like: oBoAoNoNoEoDo oWoOoRoDoSo (or so, just to convey the idea) The only content of that should be a screenshot of a list of those b-words a regular human benevolent user might want to use now and then ... Maybe some bending and warping could be applied to the li

Hi, it just took me a while -way too long- to find out, that <a like in: <a href= is a banned word. So no way to post a few lines of harmless html if you don't bother to find out and/or don't know the trick. Admins, please take this as a formal protest against this single item on the list.

No, JamesD, as an example: if you highlight this very page's headline when loaded in FireFox and then apply "View Selection Source", a window opens with the title "DOM Source of Selection" and just this content: <span class="PhorumTitleText PhorumLargeFont"> <a href="http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/forum /list.php?4">K-Mele

Hi, newman, ;-) so this is not REALLY a K-Meleon Bug, is it? It's rather the suboptimal cooperation of Windows, a firewall, a user, AND K-Meleon? I guess, that IS just the case for a working bookmark backup ... No offence meant ... btw, have you ever tried hibernation instead of shutting down? (that's in the Energy Options of the Windows Control Panel. You need to hav

Hi, Karen, the logo is shown alright here, from www.altavista.com (US). Which KM version? Any other sites with .gifs not showing? If you click the logo's address directly, is it shown? If you copy the address into IE, is it shown there? Have you checked the settings in F2 -> Page Display -> Images(tab) yet? btw. this should be moved to "General"

Hi, no bug again, most probably. "But I still can not turn off the IE Favourites bar " -is that the Favorites Bar IN K-Meleon? Then: F2 -> K-Meleon Plugins -> IE Favorites -> Favorites Bar (tab) untick "Enable Favorites bar", Restart K-Meleon.

Hi, here's another feature boost for the hotlinks macro. JamesD made it, and it enables hotlinks to call groups you saved with the Groups2 macro, if you wish. It can be found here: open a "Groups2" group from a hotlink

Jeez!, JamesD, This is perfect, works like a charm. Should be in the default hotlink.kmm, as it doesn't seem to interfere with any other aspect of either the Hotlink or the Groups2 macros. Maybe this thread should be moved to the Extensions Forum. I'm going to edit my Open all bookmarks in a bookmarks folder synopsis one of these days.

Please, do try with a fresh profile, as desga has told you. This is to try discerning which part of KM isn't working properly. go to -> Edit -> Manage Profiles in the appearing window, click "New" in the appearing window then, enter a name different from your first profile. click OK tick the box "Ask at Startup" Click OK Exit K-Meleon Start K-Me

Hi, this file: Scroll Restore indicates, in it's .ini, to have a scrollrestore.kmm to be put in the macros folder. But that scrollrestore.kmm is NOT in the download.

- well, I downloaded it from the link I gave you, and found out it's .kmm is missing. I'm afraid it cant work that way. Will post in the "Extensions" forum. On another note: give us your cache settings, please - F2 -> Network/Performance -> Cache. And tell us how much RAM your machine has. btw, I found this thread about the problem. EDIT: forget about all that.

Hi, kmeleon_user, well, if you're trying to make that bookmarklet just for the satisfaction it gives you to be able to do it, don't read on. Because all of that you want it to do (-and more) is easily done in the Context (-or RightClick) Menu. One missing feature can easly be added. "open new tab/window based on input": Well, ANY selected text's ContextMenu ha
