BTW, I had done a full uninstall and had removed all instances of k-m on my PC, including registry and folders, so I started out clean after problems arose. Will keep you all up to date on my progress, and if all else fails, I guess I will have to bide my time until k-m is fully 64-bit compatible. Will not use Firefox

Mouse gestures are not enabled, and have not been since I have upgraded my system; a shame, actually, because I had grown quite accustomed to using them, and do not feel like installing third party software for this sole purpose. Happy holidays to all; had installed new version of k-m (1.5.2), and discovered that all links or text clicked with the left mouse button do not open. k-M does not freeze or anything, it just does nothing;I had to uninstall the new version, and completely remove all instances, including clearing out the registry, as this issue seemed to have "infected" the previous version I am current

caktus, not to contradict desga2 (who very obviously knows much much more about the intricacies of k-m, from experience I would suggest a clean install instead of an overwrite. I tried to install 1.5.1 over 1.5, and in my subsequent rendering speed tests, 1.5.1 was noticebly slower than 1.5. Did a new, clean install and 1.5.1 is now blazingly fast, how I expect k-m to perform. Just my two cent
