If it can import html, how do you do it? Opera 12 has the option to: "Import Firefox Bookmarks" = Bookmarks.html = K-Meleon Bookmarks  Overlooked that. BTW. Almost all browsers I know have import/export as html (which imports/creates files with the old Netscape bookmarks format - which once was the industry standard - and still is used as exchange and backup format) w

AFAIR sessions was moved from prefs.js to the jason file because the later does not slow or slows much less. Googled the problem. Loading json objects of 38 MB is limit for FF GRE on a 8 GB RAM machine. Good handling around 1.5 MB jason. IMHO that is far less the we use/talk about here. http://josh.zeigler.us/technology/web-development/how-big-is-too-big-for-json/

Ah, right. Maybe Opera never did actually call it "hotlist", .... All call it that. It has extension *.adr. At the beginning of the file is the name of the MimeType and a version e.g. "Opera Hotlist version 2.0". Second line "Options: encoding = utf8, version=3"... Not only with the ones K-Meleon uses. Just ask uncle google for "opera hotlist&

Exactly. Means AFAIK Profiles/current user profile. That is the folder where K-Meleon.exe creates, writes and edits files and must get writing rights in portable installs. No matter on what device or location the portable install is. In its root folder K-Meleon does not write and need writing privileges normally. So this should be write protected so no malware can write there. Other folders in K-M

KMeleon version is 1.5.4. I want to delete all such embedded videos on specific page.. Zdravey, Like siria said 1.5.4 by default only use Privacy Bar. Press button KillFlash when You are on the page. 1.5.4 has only small built in Flashblock but old AdBlockPlus 1.0.2 is available at http://kmext.sourceforge.net/ext1.htm That can AFAIK manage flash per site. 1.6 and 1.7 have integr

Just stumbled across this interesting link: http://www.klaus-hartnegg.de/gpo/2014-08-21_Firefox_steals_pdf.html Now wonder if it might help in such cases to set those prefs? pref("pdfjs.disabled", true); and perhaps also (whatever that does exactly, not sure...) pref("plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types", ""); Nice find. So there is a Firefox/GRE pro

Check whether mouse is set very fast in windows system mouse setting, any K-Meleon mouse gesture changed or reaction changed in preferences - tabbed browsing - tab bar. I assume the first is the most likely cause (because You say it does only happen at a high %ge and not always which would point to a setting) unless I missed a posted win 7 bug.

Am long since wishing for a global CSS blocker too in KM. that prevents downloading css-files at least. Wasn't aware that scripts get downloaded despite being blocked, grmpf... Found an interesting xpi-addon for FF, but if it could help in KM?? https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/block-content/ Sounds interesting. I did not test but that sounds like the type of addon that should

This year however I seem to be eating up more bandwidth than last with similar browsing habits. Pages are getting bigger and adverts are more and bigger too. IMHO. Web designers are on fast/cheap ISP and do not notice the problems on slow or costly lines. They do not optimise their pics for size any more and use unoptimised and often redundant flash animations for show effects. The faster Ja

Update 5 - Fix: only one page was associated to a specific favicon per session. - Fix: partial fix for windows going berserk (focus patch) I'm still having the issue with favicons not showing for certain sites/pages of sites in the autocomplete list. An example of a site not showing any favicon in it is Youtube.com. Which Mozilla based browser does it without fault? p.s. AFAIK the p

Bon Jour, give example URL. And what You do so that others can reproduce the problem. SVP. regards from Germany guenter p.s. Normally the "context sensitive menue" gives You the option copy when/after You have marked a text. On a page like Yahoon mail where the page's JS interferres with this option You can mark the text and then go to the Menue Edit item Copy to do it.

Some addons say they are "incompatible" right after install. The purpose. It prevents that untested extensions can work. Workaround. This is caused by a statement in a file. The file is called install.rdf and it is in the xpi or install folder of the extension. Just bump the bold to fit to K-Meleon 75 Gecko version. You use a unpacker like 7z. xpi is another name for zip fo

A few plugins that don't work with k-meleon 75.0 (about:adons says they are incompatible) are: httpfox tamperdata livehttpheaders Is there a way I can fix this? Kalimera nihao, You are off topic here. In this thread You are only allowed to post info about extensions that work. If it says "imcompatibe". It is. :P Go here for Your answer: http://kmeleonbrowser.or

Yes I can understand the sentiment and feelings. But then I studied history and such topics at the university level. Yogi, You can recreate such feelings when You read the accounts of "Zeitzeugen" (witness of a time period). Especially dissenters. I hardly can imagine that you can, no matter how much you have studied or how much books you have read. For sure it can be of help for b

These guys do know how to lie and how to control minds. They use methods, developed in 1930-40-th as well as modern communication and social techs. Speaking of methods developed in 1930-40-th - do you know who the real propaganda masters of those decades were? BTW, those methods are still in use... ===== "Warum schweigen die Lämmer" by Dr. Rainer Mausfeld, a presentation a

Yes I see Your point. I totally agree about the school of missinfo prevalent in Your region but that is not the only and not the globally dominant school. Western media also spread missinfo when something is politically essential. Especially the English speaking nations of the 5 eyes are untrue in their egotistic war propaganda. Not all what they call democratic or human is ... The 5 eyes

@rodocop //offtopic// comparing some articles of ... //end-of-offtopic// Yes I second Carson's and Your folks' views. You got to read more than one source if You want or need solid information. I probably do not share any of Your political views and I do not have to - to second that. Most information sources have their own usually hidden agenda. p.s. What strikes me most is tha

Who is here from 7 years ago? I saw K-M 75, and I was amused to think it must be 75/40ths more advanced than FF 40. I loved K-M, came back to see. I had to add a "2" after my name because my ancient ghost wouldn't budge and I couldn't recall my old password. Tried to set up a new K-M and my heart recalled more nostalgia than my head recalled how to do things. I still have my old config

Once again: foliator, was your filetypes-list in Preferences also empty with rvjmimeedit installed? My one got filled after adding this extension. Mine didn't. It has always stayed empty with or without the extension, and regardless of how many application settings existed in about:preferences. This is quite different from KM74, where the list was populated right from the start -- at

In KM75 I'm trying to bring up the dialog asking what to do with a video or audio file when I click its link, so that I can specify an external player. Instead, those files are opening and playing in the browser, which is not what I want. In about-preferences, the applications tab does not show the types MP3 and MP4, etc. Yet Windows has all the necessary associations to my media file types. Dou

When You make changes You should not forget to update 2 files: rvjmimeedit.txt ( what You changed and maybe credits of others on whose contributions You based the update - if applicable) plus install.rdf (change version numbers and add Your name) and bump the version number. & Thank You for the update. :) p.s. I also tend to forget that. :D

There are tons of prefs for "encoding" and "charset" in about:config, and some are empty. Perhaps the culprit is just a pref? Did a very short test with changing a few but so far no luck (Vista/readme.html). Windows says it's something with xul.dll For testing it helps to use only a temporary change via VIEW > ENCODING At least this way the browser will restart withou

Well. It crashes ANY page ANY time when switching to ISO-8859-1! Moreover! It seems to get crashed when switching to ANY encoding of ISO-type! Yes. It does. View > Encoding > More Encodings > West European > Celtic (ISO-8859-14) and probably many more. I missed to test and find that all iso are effected. But robocop did. maybe my original question

All I can say, that this case is just the problem of the page itself. The display glitch is also present in FF there. There is no K-Meleon or Firefox display error/glitch but a web design error. As mitakuye.oyasin said: the server says the content delivered is UTF-8 and the guy that owns the page is English. These typically compose text in iso-8859-1 when they have a Windows machine

....If I understand this part correctly, the page itself is properly encoded in iso-8859-1, and should display properly in any browser, except that it is sent out by the Apache with a header text/html; charset=UTF-8 which is wrong, and which causes K-Meleon to show a "?" instead of the correct letter. I would like to force a change to the correct 8859-1 letter by clickin
