Since Dorian put it an update with the note that it could increase performance, I decided that I would make use of the pref("consoleservice.enabled"). I often work on macros and for testing them, I seldom need to know of XML or CSS errors. Now, I know that I can turn off their display in the error console, but the service is still running so there is not a performance gain. So I

If you block cookies no crash of K-meleon. If you enable with warn preferences and accept session cookies, it crashes. I've tried your preferences, and it's working fine for me. Cookie dialog show up correctly. With the example sites? :-? Indeed the "thing" is strange. For example, sites like MediaFire (which I use to post flash dll files and personal use) behaves in

Uhhmmmmm, not only CSS, it doesn't show any errors. This is my error console after visiting sites like YouTube where usually fills the error console: http://s19.postimg.org/3oeezdsr3/2014_04_14kmconsole.jpg If I have to debug I'll have to replace k-meleon.exe for a while. I found the problem comes from the prefs added to browser\defaults\preferences\kmeleon.js No clue which one :S

It happens with Firefox 27 too. Not a K-meleon bug. Looks like a GRE bug. In Opera doesn't happen, I guess the other browser where doesn't happen could be Chrome (as now share the same Webkit engine, even the Opera I'm using still uses Presto).

Thanks for the update :) In the test, maybe to see if for any reason something has broken (don't ask me why I really did) I went back to filestube.to and d-h.st/v9o (the hosting that Zero3k uses for upload files) and, even if the sites weren't giving problems after your "here.com hack" I found that they came again... Not the here.com. Here.com and any site using heavy javascript still

I post this here just if anyone comes asking. I thought I was going crazy because pages I have visited were going vanishing... and it's a new feature by Mozilla... yay!!!! http://s19.postimage.org/bhdrbxk27/facepalm.gif http://blog.bonardo.net/2010/01/20/places-got-async-expiration For those that don't want to read it, basically says that the history is expired dynamically and as if that

Another new issue with bookmarks.dll plugin I haven't seen yet. When you edit a bookmark the "http:" portion is replaced to some unknown characters. EDIT1: Maybe is because I used the K-meleon 1.6 bookmarks.dll to edit it but now doesn't happen :-? When happened I was editing this url: http://forum.emule-project.net/index.php?showtopic=32709&st=90000 EDIT2: no, yes, it h

The Text Signing window with certificates has an issue. Clicking on Ok or Cancel buttons does nothing. You must press Enter in the Keyboard (and probably Esc to close, I haven't tested that) to be able to use it. is there an error in the console when clicking ok or cancel? No. No errors. Only typical CSS/JS erros but with source the webpage that originated them. Nothing related to XU

You have good tips in the Klassic Skin toolbars.cfg file: # # Toolbar Definition File for K-Meleon # # Jeff Doozan <jeff@tcbnetworks.com> # # # ToolBar Name(16,16) { # (width, height) is optional, defaults to 16, 16 # Button Name(16, 16) { # (width, height) is optional, defaults to toolbar dimensions # ID_NAV_STOP # command id (required) # Sto

Yes, I hadn't fully read to understand exactly what was involved when I posted earlier. Later I found out there is nothing currently for Windows, just OSX ... if I understand it right. Not exactly. Actually is multiplatform because it can be implemented in any web server as a CGI if supports it. In other words, you have a web server that supports CGI, then, install Phyton for Windows an

A note above findasyoutype: it used (previous versions) to cycle from last to first result and from first to last so it didn't stop when finding the first or last. Also, when reaching the first and search for a previous (that would match the last) it clears the text searched if it is not used the search box. If the search box is used, then only stops at first or last match.

One of my browsers is Off By One 3.5D (HTML3.2), which hasn't been updated since January 2006. It's still useful because it doesn't contain any recent technology - no "smart" code (e.g. forced redirection) or annoying java and javascript. It's much easier to view images from sites than on "modern" browsers. It's funny you mention that today, because I had a problem with

Another crash I just had deals with http://tv4embed.com/usa/cnn-usa-stream-1.html making K-Meleon use 1.5 GB of RAM after a while which results in the crash because of mozalloc.dll No problem with memory or hangs after 2 minutes. What is "a while"? an hour? The most issue is the irritation I have for that bunch of ads. Hate them.

Now, if you let me tell a new bug? It's quite intermitent, but, sometimes, the drop down list (history) of the URL bar keeps open and you have to focus the URL bar text and press ESC or TAB and then disappears. Maybe it's fixed too, but I haven't seen the issue yet in my firsts steps with these update so I can't confirm. It's a bit random but I have a possible fix. Ok, thanks Dorian :)

Ok, reporting back too from me: - Here.com fixed - Crashes in sites like the examples of filestube.to or the download site used by Zero3k. Looks like no longer crashes on avalanche of windows openning (or whatever was happening) fixed - Toolbar thickness fixed - DivX Web Player plugin behavior looks like is more responsive now so maybe has been fixed too - Another side effect is tha

Kmeleon beta3 update 1 File not found :S I hope that fix for here.com, works with other heavy javascript sites. As the file hosting Zero3k uses for post files. It's just click on download and... crash!. I just forgot it crashes KM :S Oh, I didn't tell, but that kind of hang happens with Divx Web Player 1.5. It's not a K-meleon hang, but some strange CPU usage using certain functions,

Some of you haven't much crashes or hangs with K-meleon 74, but I have, hangs at least, quite a few. Most of them are directly related to javascript use, as the one reported in my latest posts in this thread, with sites like filestube.to (that tries to open a few windows at once) and no one has confirmed yet. In Firefox doesn't happen. But, for example, here is another one with the Nokia Map

I think you are referring to the same thing I reported in the first page of this thread. http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/forum/read.php?8,127127#msg-127129 I didn't measure that time, but, yes, actually was about 28 pixels height in the beta 2 and 32 pixels in the beta 3.

But how did You repack omni.ja without loosing info? I use Winrar 3.80 to open/update it. I noticed that maybe in the omni.ja of 1.8.x branch (if I'm not wrong) that had a bug that can't be repacked, but with K-meleon 74b3 (and with the previous 74b2) there is not such problem. I think it is related to the file headers. In the 1.8.x the PK (zip) definition is not at the beginning of the

I found that, at least "default text" it is in the file "OfflineCacheInstaller.jsm" in the omni.ja file. But there 2, one as normal javascript text and other binary encoded. Editing the javascript text, I hadn't success. Maybe I removed the wrong section or what it must be edited is the binary encoded what is beyond my hand :S I'm lost, that is because I ask :)

---Maybe is just Windows 2000, but I don't know what kind of script does that download page has (clicking on download) or filestube.to (this one by clicking in search field), that they directly crash K-meleon 74 beta 3 if javascript is enabled :S I report this just in case is not my system and you can reproduce it. Even I use virtual machines, I confirm that it happens in XP too and clean

Hi, This is something that came from 1.5.x or 1.6.x. Better said, from GRE engines of that versions. Now, with the latest version I thought: "let's stop this". But I haven't found a way. The thing is that when you use the cache information feature (CTRL+I by default or View Menu>Cache Information), you are presented with the binary form of the item you are requesting the info

I found today that the Extended support release (11.7) will be ended in may to phase to version 13. So, I tested it and I offer it here: NPSWF32_13_0_0_162.7z It's a beta but should work as previous versions.

Sorry, I was actually replying to Zero3k and his revival of this old thread. Anyway, I don't remember such problem and I started to use K-meleon around 0.8.x versions :S
