In this way, K-MeleonCCF ME can keep itself as lightweight as possible while keeping itself fully fuctional...

QuoteMrWoo You know, I don't think I have ever gotten good results using the search function in this forum. Maybe it is just me. Anyway, I was playing with opera today, and I noticed something I had not noticed before. When on google, I pressed the space bar, and the page scrolled down. That is pretty normal. But then it opened the next page in the search order. I did not know it did that

Quotefoobarly QuoteHao Jiang I'm thinking to add a new function into next release: When select text and middle click the mouse, kmccf will open a new tab and do search of selected text using the default search engine. Do you think this function is useful or necessary? I find that a very welcome feature, but I have just one niggle: mid-click is OK most of the times, but in some compu

QuoteSign Well then, do wrong to compare a suite with a standard browser. browser interface is not good, that they lack If Opera can provide a browser-only version, I can compare that. However Opera dosn't provide it. And they only have this bloated suite version.

Check latest review on PCworld: http://www.pcworld.com/article/168623/browser_speed_tests_latest_firefox_is_faster_but_not_as_fast_as_google_chrome.html They talked about web page loading speed and the method they used is pretty fair. K-MeleonCCF ME 0.096 should be as fast as Firefox 3.5 while Opera 10 beta is really slow in this test.

Quotechinarobin in fact, opera 10 consume less cpu usage than km, possiblely because of slower js engine. I wouldn't agree with you on that. Actually during most of my tests, I noticed K-Meleon uses less CPU than Opera 10. Maybe you mean Opera 9?

Quotendebord QuoteHao Jiang With the new release of Opera 10 Beta2 and K-MeleonCCF ME 0.096 coming out, I decided to make a simple test of both browsers. Hao, How abou the same test with FF 3.5.xxx? <VBG> I havn't done that yet. But supposedly, K-Meleon should be better than FF in memory usage.

With the new release of Opera 10 Beta2 and K-MeleonCCF ME 0.096 coming out, I decided to make a simple test of both browsers. I) Memory Usage First I am concerned of memory usage cause it's crucial for older system on which both browsers are popular. 1. Startup memory usage At startup with no tabs open, K-Meleon cost less memory than Opera: 2. One website memory usa

This gestures plugin still has problems under Aero (Tested at Windows 7 RC1 tho) When using this gestures plugin, trying to select texts on some website is hard. When you try to select just a little piece of texts turns out selecting all texts above the one you wanted to select.

As promised, there is going to be another Gecko 1.8x version coming out which will be labelled 0.089 version. Currently this version is being tested and will make sure it works under Windows XP/Vista/7 with minimum problems. The Gecko engine is updated with latest K-Meleon 1.53 which is pretty current and also might be changed to latest Seamonkey version if needed. And with the test rele

QuoteArrow Doesn't remember to keep titlebar from one session to the next. You say its for testing engine, what exactly did you have in mind Hao? No. The session doesn't remember the titlebar, you have to enable/disable manually in preference panel. This version is rebuilt Gecko. That's why I call it engine testing.
