I don't remember that we ever had a sidebar, but both the Favorites and Bookmarks plugins allow for a bar. Look in EDIT > PREFERENCES (f2) > K-MELEON PLUGINS for Netscape Bookmarks or IE Favorites. The options to set up a bar are located there.

I think macro should simply delete old txt-subscriptions OnQuit.. Surely not more than once in twenty-four hours?

There is no interface and no way to control what is blocked or not from kmeleon. A macro could be done for on/off button and maybe to delete adblock.txt regularly for an auto update. This macro may or may not be what you had in mind. I did not yet add the part for deleting the addblock.txt file or the log file. That can be done, but the necessary statements have not been announced. Al

Dorian, I should have just had him put it in the profile. It would have been more easy to do that way, but I was not sure he would not want multiple profiles later. If he does an upgrade to a later version, then I will have him do it like you do. When I made a folder called 'KM_Pgms' under C:// then I didn't have the write authority problem. That is where all my KMs will be loaded in the

URLBar { !Edit Paste&&Go=macros(Go_Paste) } Use EDIT > CONFIGURATION > MENUS, copy and paste Dorian's code, and save the file. That plus this macro installs 'Paste & Go'. A better macro already exists in main.kmm. Method is to copy a URL, then right click on the URL currently in the URLBAR, and choose 'Paste & Go'. pasteandgo.kmm # K-Meleon Macros (ht

If one wishes to install a macro and an image for a toolbar button, the normal way has been to extract those items from a 7z file to the KM root folder. Win 10 makes this impossible without giving oneself 'full control' of the folder. I already was running with admim authority. That was not enough. You can extract to the profile. The macro will be in 'user macros' and the skin 'shared' can e

The problem with live journal page does not seem to JS. I went to the page with Javascript disabled and the page could show nothing. However, the wait time for the tools menu was quite long. I had to close the history screen in order to get control back to KM. When/if one does get control back then the error console shows a great many CSS errors and a couple of XML errors.

I really did not know how to use the resource tab in task manager. I had it on pause. I changed to normal refresh and the site does use more cpu than our forum.

www.livejournal.com (main page and some other JS- and CSS-rich pages) loads all the CPU under Windows 7 and almost freezes the OS if call any KM menu (context, toolbar). It may be because I am not experienced using task mgr. but I am not seeing really high cpu usage on this site. ( 16% ) What do you use to track the cpu usage? Any special settings? Some sites tell this: "Your browser is not up to date" . I've tried the "general.useragent.override " to Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 K-Meleon/75.0 , it bypass the "your browser..." but after that when i uncheck the "User Agent Mode" Firefox Compatible, it doesn't do that, new pages remain in Compatibility mode. Thanks for the info about servo. Is it expected to run on Windows? Servo is a prototype web browser engine written in the Rust language. It is currently developed on 64bit OS X, 64bit Linux, Android, and Gonk (Firefox OS).

I don't think anyone has previously mentioned an error like the one you describe. Do you have any addon systems installed? Does this problem occur when the number of tabs is small or large or both? I just tested again in my KM 75.0 and nothing went wrong.

I read about that here: http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/08/mozilla-sets-plan-to-dump-firefox-add-ons-move-to-chrome-like-extensions/ The addons only have a couple of years and then they won't work anymore. The extensions for FF will have to be digitally signed. Would our extensions need to be signed? How does one sign something? Where would we learn about the new API's?

2.JamesD,thanks for your test and I tried again, really strange the sessions(Undo) works now,but some closed tabs seem couldn't be stored,so can't be opened. Can you determine if there is anything special about the tabs that did not store?

I had a similar message in Win 10. JohnHell suggested that I give myself, as owner, full control of the folder where KM is loaded. That worked. http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?12,131783,134912#msg-134912

You don't select link. It only search for links in the selected text. Thanks. Now I understand that. You get it all the time or on specific pages? I just got the same messages for the area 'Home/News' through 'Development' at the top of this thread. So that is two times. Once with no selection and once with a selection.

Hi,somebody have tried the "Undo Last Closed" function on the tab bar right-click menu in KM75? Seems not work, but works well in KM74! I just tried that in 75.0 and 75.1 beta and it worked right for me in both browser versions.

I copied the zip contents into the km root folder but I don't know how to register it. I hope it is just the way you worded that statement. I hope you extracted all the content of the zip file. I used 7-Zip and extracted the zip file to my K-Meleon root folder. Then I opened the extensions.manifest file and added the following line: manifest block_content/chrome.manifest It w

OK, I have a control keyset included. I very seldom use them myself. That would require me to remember which keys to use, and at my age remembering is a chancy thing at best. linkstore.kmm # K-Meleon Macros (http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?id=MacroLanguage2) # # ---------- linkstore.kmm # ---------- Allow user to store link URLs and, on demand, copy the store to the cli

Quote JamesD I am very unsure about keyboard shortcut keys. What would happen if they were used when not on a link? I did not include them. Yep same prob here, that's why I want users to choose it themselves grinning smiley But we can still tell them HOW to do it themselves, by at least adding a hint in the kmm (or even prepare a commented setaccel): My question is no

If I correctly understand the need, then this might help. This macro adds an option, "Add link to storage", to the LinkSave menu and to the Tools menu an option called "Send stored links to clipboard". With it, one can add any desired link URL to the list, one at a time, and then move the complete list to the clipboard so it can be pasted. linkstore.kmm # K-Meleon Ma

Check on security permissions that you are the owner, and even if you are, re-apply to folder and children. YES! That worked. I gave creator/owner full control and also user Jim for the folder for KM. Now my KM that is in Program Files does start just fine.
