Mark Your post is the first I have heard of PDF.JS. I have downloaded the stuff and can open viewer.html in K-Meleon. I have not been able to figure out how to change the pdf file to a local one. Any idea on how to use this such that the file to which one links in the browser is shown? I rarely show PDF files in the browser and I have adapted an old dll from SumatraPDF for my purpose.

I have noticed that when using KM-76RC2 that I am not taken to the correct place in the forum if I click on the "NEW" or "Last Post" links. These seem to work fine in KM-75.1 version. When I clicked on "NEW" for this thread I should have been taken to the previous post. see below: Re: K-Meleon 76 RC new Posted by: Mercury048 Date: September 19, 2016 05:55AM

The HTTP referer field identifies the address of the webpage (i.e. the URI or IRI) that linked to the resource being requested. By checking the referrer, the new webpage can see where the request originated. see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_referer I have never made any change from the default. I guess it depends on where you are going on the web and if you wish the browser to send you

The only clear text display seems to be in TOOLS > PRIVACY > VIEW DATA > PASSWORDS. I have macro + js systems to output and restore the passwords, but the created file is secure and no more readable than the json file. I use my system to copy passwords from one KM installation to another. That worked very well for versions 74, 75, and 75.1. When I tried to import my 75.1 data to 7

In K-Meleon 76 the data for logins is in the "logins.json" file. You might also need the "key3.db" file. Earlier versions were different. I think that K-Meleon 75.1 used the "signons.sqlite" file. The random number file was used in early K-Meleons up to and including the 1.x versions. This is only as accurate as my memory.

As Siria pointed out, one must first enable favorites. To do that one must bring up the Preferences menu by pressing the F2 key. On the left side of the Preferences menu there is a tree menu. Select K-Meleon Plugins and then IE Favorites. Near the top of the IE Favorites panel is a checkbox labled as "Enable support for Internet Favorites". Check that box. Below that are three

About the second improvement. Loading from slow sites: If you click an URL link to a site which has a performance problem at the moment (i.e. it opens very slowly), you don't see at all that you really clicked something and should wait: Neither 'Ready' in the left part of the status bar is changed to something indicating a loading process, nor the clicked URL appears in the URL field; only t

Is Hostpost your internet provider? When I put Hostpost in URL area, I was taken to http://hostpost.co.uk/. Is this what you mean? Sorry, but English is my only language.

Attention to those re-routing to 0.0.0.0 in their HOSTS file and using a network diagnosting tool. Put the below entry as first to avoid anomalies. 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 fix for netstat and diagnostic tools I did not try before, but I have added the item above to my hosts file. The Duolingo site works just fine for me. Win 10 pro (64) KM 76RC2 8 gigs ram js enabled.

If it happens after some little delay, try to change pref dom.max_script_run_time to for example 2 or 3. This should give you some more chance to get 'Unresponsive script' window and stop the script. The max script was 10 as default. I have tried 6 and 4 and I get a crash on the URL in first post. I will try 3 and then 2 to see what happens. Both 3 and 2 values for the dom.max_script_r

foliator I use IE favorites so I tried the new tab setting there. I first changed the setting from current tab to new tab in browsing general. Then I moved to plugins IE favorites. The setting was already changed there. Both places obviously refer to the same setting for IE favorites. I opened some favorites and each one opened in a new tab. If you can have two different settings in Ne

Please pardon my simple POV, but for this old man - the urge to harm others is mysterious to the point of being incomprehensible. (I don't even care for games where they portray folks getting shot, etc...) Pardon is not required. I am old, too and have much the same POV. Perhaps that is strange, coming from me. More that a half century ago, killing was my chosen profession for four ye

If I did not have bad luck, I would have no luck at all. Of course my internet service went out yesterday. I was going to post some code, but looks like it might not help. I will post it anyway, just so everyone will know the direction that I tried. It is not finished. I did not add the button yet. touch_URL.kmm # K-Meleon Macros (http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?id=Macr

@James: sure one of us can do that. Good idea! Would just prefer to see it tested first. PS: the prob is that he has NO keyboard, and the bug is that not even a virtual one opens automatically for input fields, as it should on tablets. All input fields? even prompt() and confirm() ?. If yes to above, then my work will not help.

I do not have touchscreen device, so let me ask this question please. Can you send quick keys, acelerator keys, or can you touch a button and obtain the action that you wish? I am assuming that an input box from a macro is seen as an input field. example: ALT + SHIFT + U

I have seven tabs loaded and the KM is at .7% and has 64.9 mb of memory. By the time I have found KM in the task list sometimes it has already dropped to 0% of CPU. I am running the newest 76 RC on Win 10 64 bit with 8 gigs of ram. Edit: Loaded a site playing a video and saw 9% CPU and 120.6 mb of memory used while the video played. After I closed that tab the CPU usage fell to 0 but the

siria I had completely forgotten about that one. It is quite old, having been done in 2008 - 2009. I think it likely needs a review and update just to check for spelling errors. readibility, and completness. I have already seen at least one item that needs a fix. It is open ended in that additional chapters could be added. Now, I have two systems that need work. Anyone have a idea whi

I did a little more tests and found the bug is related to the options of what locations should be added to the URL bar list. In Preferences-->Browsing-->History-->URL Bar History-->Determine what locations should be added to the list, if "Any visited location" is chosen, I will get the bug after a couple of links visited. If I change the option back to "Typed URLs onl

And what about little lessons of macrocoding with practical examples? I got started, but age and infirmities have slowed the process. Load the Macro Language page in Local Documents and the try "find in page". Use 'Examples' and Match case and Highlight. I think this will find the ones that I have done. That text is in blue. Pick the five most needed macro statements for w

Looks like there is a bug with the URL bar. When you click the drop-down button of the URL bar, it always chooses a URL to go no matter whether you choose or not choose that URL. My OS is WINXP SP3 CHS. I am not seeing a problem here. Can you explain more? When I click the drop-down botton on the URL bar, a URL list pops up. Now if I hit the "ESC" key, Kmeleon will go to
