I'm an ancient user of K-Meleon who obviously hasn't been around much, but I couldn't pass the opportunity to join the debate here. Let me start by avowing that I jumped KM's ship around v1.5, when I started feeling that setting up KM was turning akin to running in a maze (fun, but unpractical). I have been a steady Firefox user ever since (in fact, I use the Pale Moon Project builds), ocasiona

So sorry to be reviving a long dead thread, but it just really seems the most appropriated place to be posting some info about how User Agent String (UAS) manipulation is dealt by the Mozilla masters, along the with the total lack of concern (should I say downright contempt?) for user experience and/or autonomy: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=581008 If I got it right, what this

Sorry for digging up this old thread, but I think it's justified... oGet development seems to have stopped according to the comments at the last official page (http://my.opera.com/Lex1/blog/oget-2-4). I just noticed that the oGet executable include with the K-Meleon extension is the 2.5.7 version. The latest file in the Opera extension (available at http://lexi.ucoz.ru/oget2.zip) is from versio

Just for the record, it's not the first time that a similar problem is reported here. It's been a while but if you search deep enough, I'm sure you'll find other reports here at the forum... IMHO, while something like this remains a possibility, KM should issue a very stern warning about the un/install location.

From a very, very, very old thread titled "K-Meleon Tip / Tricks", some interesting info I had been unable to dig up until I got your cue: user_pref("browser.display.focus_background_color", "#f5fffa"); user_pref("browser.display.focus_text_color", "#000000"); user_pref("browser.display.use_focus_colors", true); http://kmeleon.sourc

The United (Police) States, with less than 10% of world population and a ¼ of the total imprisoned people on the planet, is by all measures a (pseudo-democratic) plutocracy... My 2¢.

I felt a strong urge to chime in on this, so here: I am still, among other things, a Windows XP user -- no Vista or 7 for me, as what could be viewed as a mere OS upgrade gets to be to the best of my knowledge a dramatic hardware downgrade, not to mention in usability (why relearn everything you amassed through years as an user?). That being said and although I only use IE for the occasional

I can say for sure that the OpenCD initiative used to employ K-Meleon as the CD content front-end, so that minimal configuration would pretty much be ideal for a public kiosk. I have no links, though... :(

this one is pretty cool: http://pitaschio.ara3.net/ [...] Pitaschio is a freeware which makes it convenient to use Microsoft Windows. Although I very much dislike any thing that consumes my resources on a permanent base, Pitaschio is one of my 'must have' 'always on' utilities, from way back -- even made some usability suggestions at the begining the developer was kind enough to heed..
