There were some moded skins and I've selected Rodocop one - the next step was to select this nickname. Could I make another choice, really? LOL!! Am not a gamer, at all, sorry. But your nick sure couldn't be any more fitting, and double fitting since today :D :D

offtopic I just noticed that Cookie Culler Plus is listed as working with version 76 or 7x. I use Cookie Culler Plus on my other KM versions ... really like the program. However, I installed it into the KM folder and it doesn't seem to work ... the little square page that opens is a total blank. That's no wonder, the folder structure in the kmext version is still ancient. Perhaps it alread

You can always test with separate parallel profiles, not just one. Edit > Manage Profiles > Ask at startup Then at next startup click on New Profile. Find the folder by clicking on Edit > Configuration > Profile directory. Then just copy over the whole contents of your old profile and restart. No danger - if there's any prob, just choose the first (clean) profile again after anoth

Just regarding google-translate: in KM it simply calls it with the URL, like that: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fkmeleonbrowser.org%2Fforum%2Fread.php%3F1%2C141358%2C141427%23msg-141427&hl=en&ie=UTF8&sl=auto&tl=en But the translated part appears in a frame with another domain, so this lower part becomes visible only if cross-domain subdocuments are allow

Bookmarks button missing Checking the "menu bar" option merely adds another bar containing buttons for the k-meleon page and k-meleon forum. BTW This is not the menu bar, it's the Bookmarks Bar itself (contains those 2 default links in the Personal Toolbar Folder). Exactly the bar which should show the missing button. But your last post showed that with "button" yo

Please guys are careful with such stuff, don't abuse KM to endanger job networks with malware :( As for autostarting: Rename the kmm file in the macros folder to "ultrasurf_mine.kmm", then open it with a notepad and add those lines at the beginning: # modified by myself: auto-start ALWAYS setpref(BOOL,"kmeleon.ultrasurf.active",false); $OnStartup=$OnStartup."_ul

Don't know Chrome, but find it easy enough to do this manually: just hovering the mouse near the left end of the tab bar, or in the right half of the tab bar, then middle-clicking away (click/click/click/click/... - 3 per sec) to close a bunch. What middle-clicks shall do is a userconfig: either F2 > Browsing > Tabbed Browsing > Tab bar or Tools > Mouse Accelerators > Firefox

Incredible. Couldn't read all of those novels yet, just way too much. But while at first it may have sounded like perhaps (??) an interesting option, it very quickly got clear exactly why it's so important to still have alternatives left. At least a few tiny alternatives to mainstream, which kills everything else nowadays. Free market, yeah right, haha, but wherever I look today the terror of th

Guess it all depends on how high your screen is. Personally I do prefer a permanent bar too, but with lots of todays notebook screens being rather flat "vision slits", there's not much choice. So a triple toggle would be perfect :) Perhaps there are FF addon solutions for older version to add a hybrid bar, no idea. For KM itself there's an older workaround-macro somewhere in the exte

My normal configuration is to open pdf's outside KM with sumatra. PS: haven't used it in awhile, but

No "improvement" necessary, just user configuration. The web search button has the additional feature, that the search text isn't necessary in the URL bar, but it also works from some selected text inside the page. Or right-clicking it allows to choose another search engine easily. Anyway, click Edit > Configuration > Toolbars this opens the file toolbars.cfg. Find your but

On my Vista big icons looked blurry even DOWNscaled too. But was long ago, could have been one of the old 7X beta versions, no idea if newer KMs are better. Hm, you sure the old toolbar system can have different button sizes in 1 toolbar??? Not to my knowledge, neither in theory nor reality. Have you tested that?

Inside the same toolbar all icons must have the same size. Have a dim memory from too long back that auto-downscaled icons on Vista looked very fuzzy :( But not sure if that was the fault of an early KM7x version or still the same for KM76... Also remember struggling mighty with getting the correct icon 'cutout' from a multi-icon picture, had some very weird results... Sorry probably doesn't

If you don't use the Return-var, it would better be omitted completely, to reduce confusion. It's the same syntax as with injectJS, a return-var is optional and only coded if really needed. the addbutton line calls a menu which the macro doesn't create anywhere... the setcmdicon line sets gold as cold (pic1=middle) and red as hot (2=rightside) the sync-macro defines that plugin.state.flas

we don't know user PC setup and personal abilities, so 2 changes will reflect the toggle more reliably. For example, single check toggle could be not good for some skins/Windows themes where it isn't visually clear enough. (We have numerous reports around this). But for some other people color change could be indistinguishable (Ex.: colorblind people). Great, so we agree after all: chan

(... and even across half the globe! :D) Why do you not want to see different icons for pressed states? It makes a lot of sense to me. And guess most people will prefer different pics too, but that would be become a lot more complicated if always 2 separate commands have to be fired, at each and every toggle.

But it's exactly the definition of Hot and Cold - otherwise how would you define for what Hot is to be used, if not for the checked state? IMO some alternative scenario would get a LOT more complicated as just this little old/new syntax change.

(Having fun with all being here at the same time :D) Actually John I just think what you posted above already, the allocation of checkbutton to a variable makes no sense here, because it's not used by the macro afterwards. This possibility is probably just meant for special cases.

@James: I think you have the wiki right, but check again your setcmdicon-line. The 1-liner you just posted is different from the one in the complete fa2-macro further up... @rodocop: there's a little misunderstanding what checkbutton does: firing it with 1 means "press that button down NOW and keep it looking pressed, showing the HOT image." firing it with 0 means "show that bu

Just remembered something... Dorians check.png is not horizontal, but vertical. If I recall correctly, this means there are no numbers needed anymore, if called by the "new" commands... Nevertheless, IF numbers are used and together with the size, horizontal ones should still work too (in theory)... PS: did you convert the flashB.bmp to flash.png for testing the new macro? Typo, or i

macrolanguage / checkbutton: didn't test, but just as example, this is what Dorians native proxy macro in KM76 uses: checkbutton("&Privacy Bar", "macros(Proxy_Toggle)", getpref(INT,$_Proxy_Type) == 0 ? true : false); Your macro toggles "plugin.state.flash" between 0/2 and gives this to checkbutton, which only understands true/false (or guess 1/0 works the sam

Found another old note for the NEW system: EXAMPLE (meanwhile outdated??) getpref(BOOL,$ABP7_Enabled) ? $_z="0" : $_z="1"; setbuttonimg($ABP7_name,"macros(ABP7_Toggle)","adblockplus.bmp[".$_z.",16,16]","adblockplus.bmp[0,16,16]"); ==> the new KM75 commands generally need ALL states, not possible to change only COLD! Sorry James don't know if it works for me, would first have to dig up again my 'modern' computer  But if you say it works on yours then obviously the macro itself should be okay. Regarding the new button-commands, must admit have no hurry to study them in detail yet, preferring my macros to work cross-version if possible. No idea if it helps, just links from my notes: OLD: http://k
