Not your fault: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?8,132917 It was a bug, but think Dorian got it finally fixed with one of the latest RC2 incremental "updates". Am not quite current which and where the latest are found, somewhere shattered all across the above thread pages... ======= EDIT: New readers skip next posts, further down in this thread Dorian posted the fixed pl

QuoteJujuLandWhat is the names of the key Del of numeric pad ? VK_DEL ? I don't success ... probably that these keys aren't defined in k-meleon.exe ? No idea, Dorian will have to tell. Or Linux may cause the prob. Usually I just take the accels.cfg as example, and just now learned, thanks to you, it actually contains a link to the complete list! http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wi

Sure, it's just a macro, named zoom.kmm Shortcuts are defined at the end. CTRL MButton is kinda handy, as long as a user hasn't set it for some link variation.

The mousewheel doesn't necessarily always zoom "Full Page", because it's just a setting. Only the statusbar shows clearly if it was "Full Zoom" or only "Text Zoom", when using the buttons. In KM1.6 I'm dabbling with a zoom macro and noticed that ctrl+mousewheel is another command (some native gecko?) as hitting the buttons (a KM macro). Also the Tex

Glad it helps, the oldest ways are sometimes still the best So here's another tip that was always missing in the bookmarks-helptext: How do you search inside them?? (answer: just type away, without input field! then jump from hit to hit with F3)

There's always the default shortcuts Ctrl+X / Ctrl+V Or Favorites with single files for each adress. The catch is adding NEW ones always drops them into the same folder with the original name. So for moving and renaming use afterwards the Edit function (which opens a win explorer window), or better an additional macro which offers those function already when adding new faves. BTW all 3

It's quite simple to remove a menu item and right afterwards add it again with a new position. If anyone would need that. Actually am doing that in one of my private macros. Have some doubts though that anyone would really need to remove a separator.

Let's just say that by telling the servers a different browser identification, that may result in different display - sometimes better, sometimes worse. That happens if the webmaster has build an 'intelligent' (??) site that delivers different page versions to different browsers. With KM being rather unknown and those webmasters not considering it anyway, the result gets mostly

KM is in portable mode if there is an empty file "profile.ini" in its root folder. Then the profiles are inside. Otherwise they are in the windows user appdata folder. Trick: after installation the portable mode is "switched" on or off by adding or removing that empty file! Nothing is copied or moved automatically by this, just copy over manually.

Hi, yes I'm actually still on prehistoric KM1.6 due to my online machine being win98 No I do not change my UserAgent (=how the browser identifies itself to websites, it may be faked) normally, only when a website is stubborn with old browsers Yes faking the UA-tag helps very often, although not always. More and more often nowadays I need to kill the css-style to get access to more conte

QuoterodocopMy problem with forum is that all e-mails of users are hidden even if they are set to be shown. Wasn't aware of that. In the past it was different, so seems to have been changed. It wouldn't be so bad regarding privacy reasons, but then it should be possible to actually send an email via the PM function (Private Message, button exists). Just recently discovered that this f

You have a point The latest and greatest as of TODAY is this one: QuoterodocopI've updated the link to the full ABP package - with new kmm and cleaned from redundant files. But it would sure be handier to have the first post updated, without needing external hosting sites. And this thing keeps getting improved little by little... Check back occasionally ;-) PS @rodocop: this is exten

QuoteJohnHellAnd maybe I just re-invented the wheel, with my knowledge of macros and I broke my head until I found the answer for nothing ROFL - *exactly* my feelings everytime I struggle with javascript for AGES and then finally turns out half a line is the solution!! But the prob is always the scripts, not the macro. In general, after having finally found a working solution to return a

Hm, you're right it sounds complicated - but it really isn't ;-) Just saying: replace the imglib2.dll in your km/components folder! And be warned, the replacement is an older version with unfixed vulnerabilities, but what do if the newer one doesn't run on our system :-( Since I don't know where to find it on the web, have it uploaded for your test here: http://kmeleonbr

Am not sure if $OnOpenTab gets the URL already, because I tried that myself recently and didn't work - URL was empty :-/ Was on KM1.6, but not much hope that's different in newer KM. What works in $OnLoad, but of course that happens only after loading the whole page already.

Don't know a way to restrict shortcuts to links... but perhaps try anyway? If your macro has a condition for a $LinkURL, clicks should do nothing outside of links. Take a look at Edit>Configuration>Accels, there are examples for shortcuts. For left click just use "LButton". You can define it also in the macro file itself, but first I'd just test that way if a global left

Hm, doesn't look too good... Did a search in my folder for that dll and found some notes. Seems the imglib2.dll in beta2.6 contains a vulnerability fix, but alas that one is not compatible with win98 anymore - or only not mine?? The previous one in beta2.5 seems the last working one, but at own risk, as always. Its date is 24-jun-2011, version 1.9.1.20pre. It must be replaced in the componen

Very cool, great job! Did a quick search for that pref, and acc. to mozilla that number is a "version" number that must match the version inside the rdf-file, otherwise it gets written new or something... no idea if helps anything. Or perhaps, as a workaround, add a setpref(...) line to some macro? (e.g. below macroinfo-line)

Not much hope I'm afraid 1.8 was a special build and I don't know if it was still using the same session system as 1.7, but probably. In the official builds the session system was changed in KM75 (or 74?) and since then stores the addresses in a separate file. Look inside your current profile folder if there's some file named "session..."? If not, the OLD sessions pl

He'll say either KM1.6 beta2.6 by JamesD or his 1.6version with the additional chrome twin Forgot something: jujuland, a KM mod, has made a slim mini-version of that VisualC2005 (needed for 1.6). Can't remember for sure, but think I installed that one long ago, while the original MS version (link on download page) was either rather big or didn't work right or just because I p

Did a quick search for gmail mailto, produces lots of results. Looks like html5 allows now much easier handling, just not sure what KM can handle. An example that sounds like may work via errorconsole, but no clue if true: http://updates.html5rocks.com/2012/02/Getting-Gmail-to-handle-all-mailto-links-with-registerProtocolHandler

Mostly yes, but to be honest, at least one really serious bug is still in 1.6: Quite often loading pages/scripts/videos cannot be stopped, despite all fiddling with settings, arrgh. Prefs may help sometimes, alas not always. Lousy workaround is to kill the online connection. Ah yes, and when the browser was closed off-line, it still claims to be offline after the next start, yet despite this l

Yeah had forgotten it myself meanwhile too, but the fix was only to set the "cold" image correctly, that works. The side-effect is that "cold" also lands now on "hot"! This is with the old commands. Testcase is ABP version-6, still attached in second post above. The "new" macro-command works as it should, but looks like by design it needs now always A

Cool, glad all works fine for you now And oops, had completely forgotten to consider that pref! After a few years you get so used to your own settings and forget they may not be default  Glad you found it anyway, which really isn't easy, rather hard to find that one!

Pheeeew... way too much work, rodo And the main prob is to keep all versions up-to-date, that's impossible. The wiki is rather outdated even in english, but the other languages are usually even some more years outdated, really bad! And readers aren't even aware of that. For localdocs, just as for the wiki, every webpage must be duplicated and fully translated in one piece. It'

I'm still on 98SE too, it's my online machine. KernelEx works miracles But the compat mode must be XP, not win2000. At installation I chose as default setting "off", so kex is only active when I manually set it for a program. Tip: one trap everyone falls into sooner or later: after renaming the path to a program, changing folders etc., the kernelex-path is broken and mu
