Hi, Jonatan! K-Meleon is in active development now, but there are number of issues because of some problems in adapting new Gecko Engine (from FF24 ESR now in KM74beta2). Here in beta the search is already at start page. AdBlock Plus needs readaptation and dll-recompilation by ABP's author. So wait for stable release - only then we could ask Wladimir Palant for new version of AdBlock for

Rutracker's site engine simply doesn't support old Gecko, so it refuses to work correctly with KM 1.6-1.7 but works fine with new builds. That's all the problem.

Have you tried other suggested options? What do you think about using this?

The 'Search Button' tab is missing in kmprefs here in KM74b2. It's needed to set up the behaviour of search queries results - to open them in current or new tab (window). I've found most of the code in old (KM 1.6) pref-webfind.xul which is responsible for this tab and its functions: var SearchButton = { pref: "kmeleon.plugins.macros.searchtyped.openurl", init: function() {

Yes, even 'transparent transparency' works here as KM 1.6-1.7 does support real transparency - BUT only for toolbars, configured by toolbars.cfg! Toolbars, created by macros do not support transparency in graphics files thus really NEEDING magic pink

KM74b2 also is exposed to such a problem but in different way: 1) only some shortcuts stop working like copy-paste ones (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V) 2) page may be without flash but it does contain some socialnet-oriented scripting

you cannot disable it as it's needed to access extra tabs. You can change the minimal width of tab in Preferences->GUI Appearance->Toolbars->Tab bar->Min Button width (in mm)

The most recent version of KM-1.6-compatible NoScript is that one in the last 1.6db+NS build from dugbugoffice NoScript for KM 1.8 (or 74) needs new adaptation. The good point is that we can try to adapt now the most modern version of NoScript.

But the best way to download YouTube video is to use PwnYouTube bookmarklet or install YouTube Services 2.0.2 extension for KM that adds all the same functionality of that bookmarklet to the browser on the permanent basis.

I'm familiar with such a "bug". It exists not everywhere but mostly on highly scripted modern pages (in my case it's on weebly.com) and the most easy workaround is to change shortcut for 'Go back' in accel.cfg. I prefer smth like this: CTRL VK_LEFT = ID_NAV_BACK CTRL VK_RIGHT = ID_NAV_FORWARD This makes KM navigate back with Ctrl+LeftArrow and forward with Ctrl+Right Arrow

adodupan, I do nothing for this - just unpack KM and use it. And one time I begin to notice that shortcuts do not work (for one-two attempts or fully refuse to work). That's my case. I have this from b18 on Win 8 32bit. b10 though works fine on Win7 32bit.

I've already written that accelerators do not work in adodupan's builds frequently. I don't know why, but it's so.

Are they all 0 KB in size and begin with FAP? I don't know. I've deleted them all. :cool: adodupan, your build has severe problem with non-working hotkeys. They could work from the 3-4 attempt or from 9-10 attempt or never. Dorian's beta even with naruman fixes doesn't suffer from that bug. But your UA-changer is the great stuff!

Another issue I've been noticing is that the latest build is randomly generating lots of tmp files in the directory where its exe is stored. Doesn't produce for me on XP. UPD.: These files are created in system TEMP folder

Hao, that's great that KM CCFME is revived! But I've found one strange glitch there: when right-clicking on any active link and choose 'Go to URL' - then it always redirects to KM CCFME download link :O

Look for it under Edit->Manage Skins 'Save current layout' writes config values into ini-file in your profile folder. 'Change to saved skin' loads config and restarts KM. So the dependency is the KM restart extension (or just restart it manually)

Well done! The best way to save the toolbar config is to use SkinSwitcher by JamesD included in his beta2.6 (from my sig) It's attached to this post. Unpack into KM folder and enjoy!

The omni.ja(r) are to accelerate start up. Sensible to use. I am regurgitating info from Mozilla.org. About two or more years old - so do not ask me for links. I understand this. But the 'open' folder structure allows easier extensibility for KM by its own addons - 'unpack and use'. Would this possibility be available in new KM (may be in Profile folder)?
