Well, this story started when I begin to promote K-Meleon increasingly aggressive in 'Ru-net'. Time to time I was faced to user feedback (with screenies) where KM was eating more RAM than FF or old Opera (which looked impossible to me). And I've noted that all that facts are from users of Windows 8.1. Today I've made a little test under 8.1 and XP - and what? The same session loaded unde

Alain, that was the only one XP-PC having such a problem! All my other XP-stuff handles icon transparency without any glitch! I'll check dll-version there later.

2. K-Meleon: A Lightweight, Low-RAM Browser For Old PCs 2014 - 2015 on Planet botch http://f5.s.qip.ru/~bmdN22al.png Using any current browser on a very old PC is going to be a slow experience, but K-Meleon makes it sensibly bearable, and it’s not constantly dipping into virtual memory in desperation. It’s nice to see some programmers acknowledging that not all PCs are brand new, and rel

I start collecting good reviews of new KM from the Web. 1. K-Meleon 75 Beta 1 on Neowin New features are added if they improve the performance and usefulness of the browser; not simply because they are "cool" to have. Whenever possible the extra funcitonality is added through plugins, which means that it will not be a burden for those who rather stay without. The modular design of

Well, folks! There are a number of things that we are used to, being the same time very confusing for novices. Look: menu items 'Preferences' and 'Configuration' - what is the right place for GUI-setting up? Novice cannot be sure. We can find more. 'Paste&Go' option not in URLbar but on the Go-button. There are 2 ways for us: make traditional KM-GUI more self-explainable for novices o

Indeed, the macros folder is missing in the default profile. Simply add it there by hands - will be a solution?

Tried with GM 3.1 (newest) and KM75 RC (without update). It gets installed, creates subfolder gm_scripts in profile folder and even correctly fills config.xml with data of js you are trying to install. But for some reason it cannot create folder for this JS. I think there is some problem with paths or app name or smth like this. But when I've added one script folder by hands - next one

Please do not hesitate to share your own skins! The more difference - the better is it! (Well, I need it to promote KM to general target group of users. I've started new russian blog and now miss good images)

Dear Kameleonairies! I think it would be great to make a sort of gallery - what can be KM visually. Show different setup of our GUI. We say that personalization and customizability are unique strong points of our lizard - so let's prove this!

Since 1.5.4 some things had changed. Right-click menu works only on buttons not on menu items. But regarding Bookmarks things are different: left-click opens link in current tab and right-click - in new background tab. This is default behaviour which could be changed in Preferences->K-Meleon Plugins->Netscape Bookmarks click for fullsize http://f5.s.qip.ru/~bmdN226R.png
