Hi, Dorian, I have tried another test which was to use right CTRL key instead of left one, and CTRL VK_MULTIPLY works. So I think that Linux doesn't handle left and right CTRL keys like Windows. Is there a way to bypass it ? Thanks A+

Hi siria, I have tried with VK_DECIMAL, and I haven't been able to make it work. I have then disabled VK_F2 (Preferences), and set it to reset zoom, and it works. So the other tests I made has perhaps failed because : - the key isn't handled in k-meleon - the key isn't handled in linux - the key was already used for another purpose. Is there a way to list all the use

siria, The fact that increase/discrease shortcuts were also defined bugs me a little, and I didn't think of a macro. But I haven't been able to find a key to do it. What is the names of the key Del of numeric pad ? VK_DEL ? I don't success ... probably that these keys aren't defined in k-meleon.exe ? Thanks A+

QuoteJamesDThe Ctrl-Kp_Multiply ( keypad *) works under Win 7 for text zoom. The Ctrl-0 thru Ctrl-9 keys are assigned to the Hotlinks system in KM. So, I confirm, it doesn't work with Linux. Is-it possible to assign another hotkey ? Thanks A+

No trouble under Linux ... But comparing the features between Firefox and K-Meleon, to reset the zoom, Firefox uses Ctrl-0, and K-Meleon Ctrl-Kp_Multiply Nice, except I don't know were is this key ... Ctrl-Kp_Multiply I tested wit Ctrl-* on keyboard and numpad, but it seems not to be that, or it don't work under Linux ... Thanks A+

Hi, Here is what I think 1) create a profile to do that 2) Use a macro (in profile/macros) which opens with openintab() all your addresses, and which is launched at startup ( onInit ?) 3) If addresses are always the same, nothing more to do that launch k-meleon with -p option, else make a bat which creates the macro file with the needed addresses and which launches k-meleon with -p option

These problems are listed here, and for each, I give the way to remove it : Extension or wine version. 1) Running K-meleon on a wine version under 1.6 fails => Install of the needed dlls to upgrade a 1.4 wine version to 1.6. Have a look to this thread => Except Ubuntu 12.04 and before can have these problems. Wine in now 1.6 mini or 1.7 2) mailto links aren't working => t

Dorian, It works nicelly under Linux. No more transparency problem. Does the way you used can give the possibility in macros to test the os. It should no more need the bad test I done and allow to use an official kmeleon variable, Thanks A+

@JamesD In fact we have the transparency problem with new way under Linux. It's due to the comctl32.dll version installed. There is no simple way to correct it, except for Dorian using C or C++ to test if it's Linux, and then use the old way. As rodocop have a similar problem, I thought it was for all XP version, but it seems not to be the case. If it was, the test ought to

@ rodocop Humm ... it's what I saw : version is given two different values 5.82xxx and 6.00.xxxx Curious way to number versions. There is a way to detect Linux, probably XP, and then perhaps choose old way for XP and Linux, and new way for Windows post-XP ? A+

Sorry for having miss these answers. I have made a test with the last tools.png you have send, but it doesn't change anything. In fact I saw it later, the privacy toolbar is completly bad, the images ok were in fact given by check.png (as siria said). In fact, as you have probably saw it, it seems that it's a comctl32.dll problem. Dorian has made a patched version, and the icon

QuoteDorian QuoteJujuLandI'll put a bug on wineHQ bugtracker. As a temporary solution, isn't it possible to test the OS, and if it's Linux to use the solution which works for Linux, else use the solution now used by K-Meleon. JujuLand http://wiki.winehq.org/DeveloperFaq#detect-wine Nice ... are you ok to include this test ? Seems simple ... for you Thanks A+

QuoteDorianPerhaps in WinSxS Humm ... I have found this folder but inside, even if it says it's 6.00.xxx, resHacker found it's 5.81 On a forum I found this: QuoteNote Comctl32.dll version 6 is not redistributable but it is included in Windows XP or later. To use Comctl32.dll version 6, specify it in a manifest. For more information on manifests, see Enabling Visual Styles. First,

QuoteDorianWindows has both version of comctl32, v5 was default, v6 used when app request it. Something is wrong with wine, you should ask in wine forums. Perhaps, but how is installed v6 on Windows ? Is it a native version coming with a Windows version, or a packet we can install ? And in this case, where to found it ? I haven't able to find it on Microsoft update. A+

QuoteDorianThis should write a file comctl.txt in your profile with the version detected. You need 6 (minor number is not important) It returns 5.81. It's the version of the wine placeholder Having a look with resHacker, it confirms it : VALUE "CompanyName", "Microsoft Corporation" VALUE "FileDescription", "Wine Common Controls" VALUE &quo

QuoteDorianThat's what I thought. KMeleon fails to see that you have comctl32 v6. Could be a wine bug. Yes, I found that the version is 6.0.2600.2982 Which is the minimal needed version ? A+

QuoteJohnHellAs a side note, I tested that .exe under Windows 2000 to see if it fixes something too and that breaks again the old skins system transparencies returning to black backgrounds. It breaks, or doesn't repair ? For Linux, it repairs for old and new skins. QuoteJohnHellI'm not requesting a fix. Me, I am  A+

Some unstranslated strings corrected in french kmeleon.kml Is there an updated skeleton of kml file ? Searching for strings in kmeleon.kml, I saw some differences between languages concerning the number of strings, and about organisation of the file. I suppose there is some other missing, modified or no more needed strings, and it's a little necessary to clean it. A+

Other problem (probably linked with the previous problem): Text Display fails with AuraAlpha(CNoT) for privacy bar with b3 and rc. b1 : rc : We can also notice no push button effect, and that there is some problem with the limit of the picture and the pseudo transparency (black points). Some rest of transparency problem, which weren't visible in b1. A+

@rodocop: Replacing the rc version with b1 version doesn't solve the problem. Replacing b1 version with rc version, no problem with km b1 Same when cross-testing default skin. => The problem seems due to Kmeleon.exe 75rc or a kmeleon (gecko ?) dll Have you this problem with your linux ? I'm under Ubuntu 12.04, with wine 1.4 (it's a little old, but no upgrade possible

@Rodocop; Thanks for the try, but it's the same. I have tried with 75b3 and 75b1. Transparency is correct whith 75b1, but fails with 75b3 and 75rc Probably the way used to display it ... I have tested replacing the folder default by the 75b1 default folder, and the problem is the same. Perhaps a problem with some dll in wine ? A+

QuoteDorianInkscape. check.png is not ok, you have that black border around it. Try adding boolean kmeleon.display.toolbars_alt and set it to true. Check if transparency works better, but some icons will become invisible. This pref don't improve the display of icons, and makes the privacy bar button hidden, except check. I have opened mainbar16 with inkscape, and don't know the

Hi, It seems that transparency is better under Linux. All the icons aren't ok, but the privavy bar is now ok on some icons, and bad with the others. I'll have a look to the privacy toolbar. I'll upload soon some french translation updates. I have seen that the privacy is now different from before, and the buttons used are in skins\shared. I haven't found the
