Guenter, thats nice Firefox has line numbers in default source view. That should be the way to go. Only one command is needed to use it as console viewer and several files in embed.jar would become obsolete. As I always want what I can not get, it is now day 12 of waiting for sourceforge. Sourceforge cvs is still down. Could someone upload 7z of last years or newer k-Meleon sources to a working host? update: online again, for at least two days Upload of snapshot sources including current gecko sources would still be nice. Historic Gecko version 1.7.4 is in K-Meleon CVS.

If the changes that are needed are in chrome's JavaSCript (which I think), that is used in human readable form in 1.6.beta2. it is not in /chrome/*.jar (updated information 2011-02-10/2011-02-14) it is in /XUL.DLL You can patch Firefox with Gecko > 1.9 to get same errors. - bin-search-replace XUL.DLL content-primary>content-offmary - (only one occurrence) -

for those who like to test console/console2 in beta2: I modified embed.jar of 'K-Meleon 1.6 beta 2'. - dragging/scrolling crash removed - disabled not working parts (dragndrop,findbar) + simple console works (was missing two files) + enabled menus for working parts + wheel-zoom, go to line, wrap, copy, select-all http://rapidshare.com/files/446011347/embed_1.6.0_Beta2_en-US

Thanks go to disrupted Fred: can you confirm bug 1288 in bugtracking system and delete my duplicated entry? Latest binaries of kmeleon.exe are all from May 2010. If their code is somewhere hidden in sourceforge cvs, as god mentioned, a quick compare could fix it. thanks
