From the screenshot that privbar-menu is in reality the Go-button menu, menuname is "_Go" (assuming it's still the same as in KM16). It makes a lot of sense to have menus on the privbar buttons, I have them in my private skin for years But of course they should be button-related, and the "Go"-Menu looks rather like a bug there. It happened occasionally to me when pla

And now I'm only realizing, 'slightly' belated: In KM 1.6 the history plugin dated July-2012 has a bug, it can NOT show the history back/forward menu anymore. After replacing history.dll in folder kplugins with the older version from Jan-2010, the menu appears again. Sigh, and there I've wondered for months why it didn't work anymore, but never enough to take a closer l

Siiigh... can't believe it, swiss cheese memory, although I've used that function daily, for years!! Of course the native function can restore MULTIPLE last tabs too! Just haven't found a menu for it yet, so can only open them one by one, in reverse order as they were closed. And in the menu Sessions/Options one can set the number of max undo-closed. Now wondering if it would b

Because people still come looking in this old thread for workarounds: K-Meleon can hide the title bar without any additional stuff! This works at least since KM1.6, although only from a hidden pref. Not sure where the setting can be found in newer KM versions, but as always the hidden prefs still work: - Go to "about:config" - 2x click on "kmeleon.display.hideTitleBar&qu

KM74 can hide the title bar without any additional stuff! Just not sure where the setting can be found, perhaps it's just a hidden pref yet? - Go to "about:config" - 2x click on "kmeleon.display.hideTitleBar" => true Now just open a new window, no restart needed.

The setting to close the window is in F2/Browsing/Tabbed browsing. Can't remember what the default setting was, but when I kept accidentally closing the whole browser again and again, when overlooking that a tab was the last, I was really glad this pref exists. Therefore what would be handy, if this pref would affect only multiple windows, those are okay to close, just not the very last o

Ah interesting... And would there be any easy way to get the url of background tabs by a macro? I think that prob occured in the past a few times, not just when closing... ah yes, probably OnLoad... Not sure if that's the reason for the current method, but closing a tab does not destroy its tab history yet, only when it's really gone afterwards.

QuoteadodupanOk, one more time, perhaps this argument is good enough. Do you plan to disable kplugins in km - answer is no. So, you should make it possible to load kplugins inside addons. Sometimes I can't help wondering whether you're a secret delegate from Mozilla or google. KM is just not your style.

QuoteJamesDClosing the last tab in a window does not actually close the tab. The tab just changes to "about:blank". Good catch! Can confirm: neither onclosetab nor onclosewindow is fired in that case, and it makes sense. I know it's just a setting if a user wants to jump to about:blank or not, so it may not affect everyone, but for the many others this tab adress is lost. Alt

Cool test macro, like it! Nothing like a real life test! So yes, OnCloseWindow is really fired first. BUT - OnCloseTab is *also* fired. Before or after, for PriorTabs it should be the same, not? Edit: Strange, now I'm only getting OnCloseWindow. No OnCloseTab anymore. And no AppExit. Was a parallel session with only 1 window. Must test more... Edit-2: Yes, that happens for the las

Will have to try your test macro, but so far I thought the "onclosetab" is really fired before "onclosewindow", that somehow it wouldn't be possible otherwise at all. But you might well be right, considering that background tabs are not stored when opening another session... Then again, perhaps KM starts closing tabs with all background tabs first, and the active tab as l

@c-sanchez To quote myself: QuotesiriaNo there are no additional files needed. Although the optional utils.dll would make the deletion of the ini-file smoother, but that has nothing to do with menu lines. Sorry, meanwhile it dawned on me, that sounds misunderstandable. To make it clearer: - For installation there is NO additional file needed (only the kmm) - the closed page adresses are

Yeah that's what I wondered too, if that ini-file exists at all and if yes, what it contains. High chance it's just a missing writing permission again, as usual. Your macro does and did work fine on my machine, James Just don't manage to decipher the code, which of course doesn't matter, as long as it works. It makes it more difficult though to hunt down probs like this

No there are no additional files needed. Although the optional utils.dll would make the deletion of the ini-file smoother, but that has nothing to do with menu lines. No idea why this dot-thing happens exactly, and I do not see those dots in the menu myself, but get the correct titles shown. Perhaps it depends from KM75, no idea, or perhaps it just depends on the title and URL of the stored pa

Sorry, but knowing google, the hope is zero: am convinced the removal is fully intentional :-( First they removed the user setting for javascript from the Firefox Settings Tabs with ridiculous excuses, despite protests, while claiming that expert users would still be able to block JS in about:config! And now the next step is only logical, even the hidden pref is disabled completely. In t

The header still lists utils as required... Of course I took a curious look at the code too, but must admit your variable names are so long and unintuitive my graycell RAM keeps overflowing and had to give up ;-) But in line 143 that should be a 6, and line 147 I don't understand at all, but contains those "..." Surprised to see rebuildmenu, never could figure out what that co

LOL, what is it today? First dorian, now you - who next, perhaps me? But this version can't work without utils, if I read that right... (PS: really no need for credits just for one little word ;-)

QuoteJamesDYes, it works in Win 7. It still causes a flash of the command window so I actually use another method on my personal copy. Utils unlink does not cause a flash. Not quite sure if I fully understand, that probably means that "cmd" flashes too and only "utils" does not? c-sanchez, just wondering, if you look inside the ini with an editor during the session,

Yep, nice macro Quoteexec("cmd /c ERASE \"".$_PriorTabs_Path."\""); ## For user of win9x operating systems, cmd should be replaced with Command in the above line "%COMSPEC%..." used to work like "cmd" and "command" in newer and older systems alike, but it's been awhile. Just curious, would that still work in your win7 too? O

Sounds familiar... There were macros a few years ago playing with title bar, but I think it's a native pref now in newer KM versions? Just not sure where to find it - in F2 somewhere? In about:config? Look around a bit ;-) As for the window buttons, there sure are macros out there among the hundreds. For myself I once added just a couple lines to the skin config manually. If you like and

IIRC there was some issue with Mozilla forbidding to load local files for security reasons now, in newer geckos, but not sure in which KM version that started exactly. And then there was some CAPS workaround creating exceptions for localfiles... But injectjs + onload by macro should work, since the youtube.ys is below the size limit. Then again, there come 5 scripts with that addon, perhaps tho

Glad it still works! It's one of those settings that are usually never found when searching for it, that's why I made a shortcut for myself even though I never need it myself: Improvement wishes for devs: - Add a link to the certificate Manager from F2/Privacy&Security - On the same sheet add a box with checkmark for the equally well hidden Privacy Toolbar  (hardly any

Thanks for answer. Interesting that it makes a difference now whether an extension is in program or in profile folder, that certainly is new! (to me) But in general FF addons still seem incredibly complicated in KM. Yeah I know that's only beta, but hopefully some day that stuff will become much simpler.

@guenter, a question: QuoteguenterCheck that kmeleon.install_firefox_extension is true. In about:config Checkbox for that is on the bottom of Edit. What happens if you turn that pref off? Does bluhell still work without that installation pref, considering that installation was done a long time ago? Or does it still have an effect afterwards, contrary to FF?

Why beta? The stable version is released over 3 months now. (which of course says nothing about that bug)

Wish I knew myself a way to work around server-forced httpS, because now I'm getting on other sites (not youtube, guess it was yahoo) constantly annoying browser warnings about "mixed content" with "unsecure" parts in it, on completely harmless content pages. So finally I had to switch off those warnings completely, grmpf. Quotenewbialplease, if you can help, keep it s

My first guess would be different settings, either on KM or the system or malware scanners etc.
