It would be great if K-meleon could "lie" and claim to be firefox or chrome. Spoofing Chromium or IE based browsers doesn't help. They have a different JavaScript implementation. Spoofing Firefox string is implemented under Tools. When on. It just adds the string Firefox to the "User Agent String". Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0

Won't save the image but instead saves it as a *.htm file..................how do I fix this? K-Meleon Version? URL? p.s. Probably site specific. Tries to prevent saving pic? Try to switch JS off, after pic has loaded. Try open site Document Resources pics. Try save whole page and get pic from saved files. ... Last resort: Use print button to make a screenshot, insert th

(KM 75.1 Portable fresh install, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNQXAC9IVRw, Windows 8.0 x64) It's just a minor bug so I posted it but I forgot any other info, sorry. Same with me. Only changes cursor style on "Maybe it's time to go back to the zoo?". Not for other comment sections on that page. Same behaviour with FF nightly. So site or GRE specific. Build identi

Way to replicate a problem starting with: K-Meleon Version? URL? For some problems OS version and system info is needed too! Next what You see and how to reproduce step by step: BTW: Before You report a problem You CrossTest with a browser that has the same version engine or a similar engine. I tried to reproduce Your observation. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100

... I don't think it will be possible to build K-Meleon under Linux, as it uses Microsoft code. Guenter or Dorian would be able to confirm. A+ I do not think that guenter knows enough about building "to confirm". Whether anything can be currently build with GNU compiler tools with or without changes only Dorian knows. p.s. Historically the kmeleon plugins could be build

KM 75.1 I start KM. I load www.google.com. I close the last tab. The tab now reads "Empty", but I can click back and go to www.google.com. I expected it would actually close the tab and open a new tab instead of just loading "about:blank". After closing a tab. IMHO it merely closes the URL and empties the tab. The tab/window stays open if it is the only tab (my sett

AFAIR Close by double click is older and was a wish by users. It is faster and more efficient (if You have few tabs open) and it does not require to hit a small target with the mouse. Which can be harder for visually impaired. IMHO New users have to learn to not accidentally double click. They can do reopen last closed tab. So there is no harm done.

@guenter, does 76 create the button in K-meleon interface? (I ask from what I read to cookiekeeper that I understood that now was possible :-? through jsbridge) Creating a button is above my skills. I did nor pay attention to new coding posts. If I want a way to call a XUL interface I simply bookmark the code path. Examples: chrome://cookiekeeper/content/cookiekeeper.xul chrome:

I was thinking Script Permissions would work like the Firefox extension YesScript. I guess YesScript looks only at the address in the URL bar, and not the actual source of the JS. Thanks again. I have not tested YesScript - except whether it installs without complication and whether it throws an JSError when its basic functions are tested. But it is an addon that's XUL is constructed in

First of all, thank You for supporting K-Meleon. AFAIR/K Only Your addon, Newsfox, Adblock+ and firefox addons done by K-Meleon users ever supported this project. Screenshot: Cookiekeeper 1.9.1 started via about:addons with 76 b3 after automatic install via addon page and 1.8.2 hand installed with K-M74, started via bookmark of chrome://cookiekeeper/content/cookiekeeper.xul then its preferences

Fully installs in 76bet2 and probably works. See rodocop's answer for what to do. If You still have problems please reply to ask for a more detailed how 2 since I did more than he suggested to force the install and immediate compatibility of firefox addons. http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/file.php?4,file=1411,filename=https.gif

The option is in menu under View -> Encoding -> UTF8 You can relocate the command via a personalized menu entry. Thanks, guenter, that was actually the first place I looked, but it's definitely nowhere in the main menu. I've also double-checked the original, unaltered menus.cfg from the KM75 package. It's not there, either. I could insert the item into the menu myself, but I do

K-Melon/Dorian kept the old Mozilla bookmarks as more resource friendly solution. p.s. no wonder with the size of sqlite data base and constant updating it.

I think it is because you are using K-meleon 76/Firefox 38/Gecko 38. For me it doesn't play in K_meleon 75.0, nor even Firefox 31... Am lazy to even have a look at the console for the culprit script. No I also checked with 75.1 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 K-Meleon/31.8.0esr http://www.di.fm/ Indi beats But I cannot open all individual URL.

Ok. Yours is a new and unique problem then. I could not verify/repeat it with the Java button in privacy bar in the skin I am using (variant of phoenity large) so I assumed You had mixed JS and SunJava up. It might be only with Your settings or the skin you are using. You can try on browserspy.dk whether You can get any unusual readings when You use the button. Else I have no idea. No idea

Java or Javascript? Video sites never required Java from me - it's always off. But most wrapped players (flash or html5) won't run with JS off. Yes. JavaScript for flash. All browsers and Flash plugin know and need that. Did not know that alternative player need it. Guess it is needed to sniff capabilities of the browser. Java originally by Sun is another technology. Use of Java become

No idea whether this is still possible with 76 default skin but for older skin You can comment/edit them out in toolbars.cfg. All lines that start with # are commented out. The one from my Phoenity Lage and it has all items commented out except Cookies, JavaScript, Popups, Cache and KillFlash. You can do it lile me %ifplugin macros|privacy &Privacy Bar(64,13){ %ifplugin mac

Well it works in the two locations. I just put files in dictionnaries folder of another version :s A+ Years ago, I just used to copy/paste them out of SeaMonkey's Dictionary folder. I just couldn't find it in the newest version of SeaMonkey. Anyway, I've got the spellchecker working how I want it due to the help from these forums. :) I've now more or less finished setting up KM lik

Hi guenter, I have tried it, with french one. I have renames the two files I wanted to use (Classic) => fr-FR, and it doesn't work. Thx to siria for pointing me to the fact Alain found that we can place our dictionaries e.g. into the ./lo

1.) Download & Extract and place into ./dictionaries should do it. If not? 2.) You can take the dictionaries of SeaMonkey and FireFox. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/ I have tested the later option too. It installed and works. Version 2.33.
