cometbird= firefox3 with preinstalled extensions (it's no faster than ff..all those claims are rubbish) xtravo explorer is an ie shell(bad) built with .net(even worse)= absolute crap unlike most ie shells; xtravo didn't make use of the original ie context menu which can be useful for some.. it's very very sluggish and the interface is unstable probably due to .net 2.0 i foun

the crash majick experienced seems related to the layers.dll plugin being activated.. it appears he did a 'dirty' upgrade from 1.1. to 1.5 leaving layers.dll active which will definitely cause a crash when opening tabs. (layers.dll is obsolete and not needed with 1.5.x) as for your problem; as gunter has mentioned, testers and devs don't have regular access to vista which is es

hi cgi. i'm not sure i follow. you open djvu documents inside the browser using a plugin? if that's the case.. please post a link where you've downloaded the plugin, i went to the lizardtech site http://www.lizardtech.com/products/ but couldn't find a djvu plugin. the errors you've posted appear to be related to java runtime not djvu per se.. the latest java jre appare

sessions are saved right into prefs.js.. to backup sessions, you'll need to backup the whole prefs.js file(unless with autoit script that can read the sessions strings and write them again into the current prefs.js). it will backup the whole profile folder including prefs.js and you can restore the backup with sessions.. i'm not sure how stable/reliable it will be through sandboxie

the first site/aplet couldn't load and caused a somewhat freeze.. that i didn't even get a chance to view the error console.. i'll have to check out its live source code and test it out with firehog.. the second site did load but because i only know one phrase in dutch i had trouble activating the map.. finally it popped a message about a 'pop-up' so i granted it popup

download this: extract it into the kmeleon folder, restart kmeleon. after restarting click on the edit menu> select 'profile backup' and choose to backup your current profile from the dialog which will follow. now upgrade to 1.5.1 in whatever way you deem suitable-dirty install on top, or copying and replacing files manually etc now that you've upgraded, select edit

it's much better now, thanks charlie. i think some of the injury was caused when i tried to roll out the tranny off my arm because i couldn't lift it with my other free arm, it didn't hurt instantly.. i even finsihed up the job and took the car for a quick spin; it wasn't till next morning that the pain really hit me.

the text pointer can act-up for several reasons.. for example if you're using a custom cursor that has many colours(64bit) more than supported than the os. a friend once had a similar problem when he used vista aero whatsit cursors on an xp pc. so if that's the case, make sure to use the default windows text pointer: control panel>mouse>pointers>text select>'use defau

no problems logging in there with the default useragent so they don't have a bad gecko sniffer..even though i can't really say their sniffer is correct, when i checked their mail.. it identified os as 2000 when it's xpee and saw kmeleon as netscape anyway, try clearing your cache first before logging in especially cookies and if that doesn't work follow gunter's ad

yesterday, while replacing the flywheel(for the very first time with 200,000 km on the clock!), the jack snapped and the transmission fell right on my arm.. luckily for the tranny since my arm taking the blow saved it from any damage. ironically, i have barely recovered from a fractured rib when a shifting spanner flew right into my chest couple of months ago. moral: if you lack the proper too

since version 1.1.4, i used a simple macro to send the system into standby through executing an automation standby program.. though i don't use this macro much but comes handy when i want to suspend(s3=suspend to ram) without leaving k-meleon and going through the traditional ways to standby. today when i tried the macro, i go an error message.. i thought the program was actingup or some

i don't have much experience with win95 features/limitations so i can only give feedback in regards to the miscolourisation of the toolbar icons. check in display properties (from the control panel) and see the settings tab if the driver/graphics card supports true 32bit colours.. it could be set at 16bit and that may cause the icons problem. if the card only supports as far as 16bit,

i wasn't proposing dropping the antiviruses.. i was explaining how my system differs from a regular windows platform. what i'm trying to say is; some resident programs(and not necessarily an antivirus) will use up too much resources or handle your resources badly leaving k-meleon or any other program for that matter struggling for their share of memory which will naturally cause them to

i totally agree.. most of those 'outdated' software are far better than their recent versions. nowadays, it seems that 'updated' means extra bloat instead of extra functions. i can't think of a better example than a program i've been using since windows nt.. it's called directorycatalog.. a true no-nonsense application that saves a catalog of your files in a fol

it seems that sp3 is the common factor here so i'd like to think it's sp3 causing those problems but then again charlie was able to run km with sp3 and why can other browsers run.. it's strange but it sounds more like a system thing than a km thing or a combination of both(km bug under a specific certain environmental variable).. try this wolph..(it's not a solution, it
