And above all else, I need a bit of fun when working on kmeleon, or where would I find the motivation to do it? Yes, i must admit, i didn't take the "fun" part into consideration, but you're right on that one. What would be the priority for you? I've tried to put in a context to sound as harmless and offenseless as possible but i can't seem to acomplish that, so i'll have to rem

Rather have the impression they fully intentionally make it as hard as possible now! And I understand it takes an incredible amount of time and struggling to get past all those new barriers. Even when I myself only dabble with simple user macros, that often takes far longer than it looks in the end. I don't want to be too hard or to sound like a jerk towars Dorian and his fellow contributors,

Rain - no idea when I made it sound like moving. Sure didn't mean it either. Your preferred way just happens to be exactly my own one too :) These things are out of my league, and besides, the way i see it, with every version that comes out this edditing/macro thing seems either to work partially or none at all afterworths. It's a shame really, K-Meleon is such a fast and wonderful light lit

In general helpful of course, just in this specific case Rain wanted a menu on left on a button. We don't know yet which skin system he uses. No prob with the oldone. I don't want to MOVE the Favorites/Bookmark button from it's initial position, i'm just used to open my bookmarks by Left-clicking them, not by Right-Click, i apoligise if i made it sound differently. I'm using the default sk

Could someone please tell me how i could gain access to the bookmark drop bar by LEFT-clicking the bookmark icon instead of RIGHT-clicking it?

Thanks for the update Dorian, but mostly, thank you for editing your first post and adding in it the small update, instead of creating a new thread. Makes it easier for fellas like to to find them. Cheers!

The extension ... mports bookmsrks.html files into K-Meleon Bookmarks. Thanks, but i hate plugins to death. That's why i chose K-Meleon, it comes highly configurable without the need of installing external plugins.

As the title says, how do you do that? I saw that they are stored in the K-Meleon profile folder, but how do i import them from IE or Mozilla for example?

@ stan You could bookmark the sites you want and asign hotkeys to access them faster. For example, if you bookmark: http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net You could asign a letter or group of letters (don't know if numers or words work) and simply type that letter/number/word in the adress bar to go to that address instead of having to imput the full link.

As the title says, if the option witch is curently available in FF and PM could be implemented in K-Meleon in the future, i believe it would be a plus for K-Meleon. Example: http://s27.postimg.org/5r4y3lb5f/FF2.jpg http://s17.postimg.org/y1welhzpb/image.jpg Even tough this might be achieved by editting/adding some lines of texts in the K-Meleon folder, why not implement a simple checkbox

This is what i'm talking about John: http://s27.postimg.org/5r4y3lb5f/FF2.jpg http://s17.postimg.org/y1welhzpb/image.jpg Now my memory isn't what it used to be but as far as i recall prior to me reinstalling my OS i could do the SAME thing in K-Meleon. Type a word in the adress bar and i would get search suggestions from my bookmarks in my adress bar. Also i don't keep history, so only my b

I can't believe they removed that option... they're practically forcing you to learn basic programming skills just so that you can edit internaly your browser's parameters so that it would behave as it should have. Both Pale Moon (XP version) and the latest version of FF already have this in the settings/preff panel to be enabled at need. This is a huge step backwords for both K-Meleon and S

As i recall, before i reinstalled my OS, i've been using K-Meleon 74 (stable) portable and had it set that everytime i tipe something in the adress bar i would get bookmark suggestions. For ex. if i was typing in the adress bar "kme" and i had the kmeleon page bookmarked, K-Meleon would drop a suggestion with the site i bookmarked. Tough idk what exactly i tweaked to make it behave

What do you prefer, same tab or new tab? Preferably the same tab, but as long as it's not opening a new window a new tab works just fine. Did you get the correct item in the menu? ( New item is at bottom of menu) Okay James, i'm sorry, i'm an idiot, it worked! I just WRONGFULLY assumed it would work if i click "View Image" instead. Thanks for both of your help.

Well, i did it but unfortunatelly it does not seem to work. When opening images it keeps opening them in a new window instead of opening them in the same and/or new tap instead of a new window. Here's the file in case you're wondering if i did it correctly. http://www.filedropper.com/imagein I'm the sole user of this computer and have administrative rights i don't user more then one profi

In K-Meleon, everytime you right-click an image and select "View Image" it automatically opens it in another window/new K-Meleon process, while in FireFox it opens it in the same window without making a new one. Is there a way to make K-Meleon behave like FireFox in this matter?

I know it isn't the answer you were searching for, but there isn't a simple method. Actually it helped. I'll look into it and start tweaking and see what i can do. Thank you both.

Thank you very much Dorian and others for your hard work to deliver us a fast, light, wonderful browser :) 1. The Popup Blocker needs improvement. Have you tried using a hosts file? http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm It does miracles for me. Does not slow my PC or Surfing down at all. Just download, unzip and double click the exe file, theres also a tutorial inside the archive on ho

Just a hint, nearly all of the wiki is more or less outdated, most parts are ages old. Only the download page, news, a few chapters of the faq and an odd bit here and there still get occasionally updated. But one can always ask in the forum. I've noticed, thats why i'm tring to create my threads as specific as possible so it wqill help for others who might encounter the same problems that i hav

Dorian, i just have a small suggestion; wouldn't it be better to create a thread where you post the minor and major updates to KM but DISABLE comments/replies from other users in that thread? They could still talk about that update/release but in another thread. For Ex: K-Meleon 74 RC (This thread should be resereved only for updates and you should be the only one allowed/able to post there)

Hold down Shift and Ctrl when clicking a link in order to have it open in a background tab. Thats not what i asked, i was talking about if theres a button or key combination on how to open a tab but not focus on it right away. Just like in SeaMonkey (holding down CTRL) Thinking about it, looking at that table, Seamonkey way is far better! Have just switched myself! It additionally allows

Ever since i've started using K-Meleon, i've noticed that i encounter problems downloading files with the .zip extension. They download fine, but after the download has finished the file cannot be opened with any probgram... Noticed this when i tried to download some patches from The Patches Scrolls. Unfortunately this archive downloading issue seems to be rerstricted only to K-Meleon/Gecko

For example if i would go to the KM Forum and would like to open the "General" section in a new tab, how do i do that but KEEP the focus on my current TAB/PAGE? I'n Opera i believe it was by holding down CTRL but with KM, if you hold down CTRL while tring to open a page/section it goes to that new tab imediately.
