Greetings, I'm currently using K-Meleon version 74 beta 3 on an XP SP2 machine, and I'd like to use a password manager. At the K-Meleon Extensions Central, it says I must modify chrome.manifest file, so I did that, and it also says that the K-Meleon Extensions Manager doesn't work on version 74. So, not being an expert on these things, I was just wondering how one installs extensions? Is t

Greetings, I'm interested in using a password manager, and was wondering if anyone has been successful in getting one to work with K-Meleon? Please let me know the steps. I downloaded Dashlane, but its Firefox extension didn't automatically get incorporated into K-Meleon. I'm of course willing to try some other password manager program, if someone has been successful. Thanks for your help o

Okay, I just did what you said, by downloading the 1.6 Beta2 7-zip package (because I had previously uninstalled this version), copied over bookmarks.dll into the folder kplugins, and the msv*80.dll files to the main k-meleon directory. Then, I started K-Meleon and tried to save a bookmark, and it totally worked! So thank-you, Guenter, I definitely wouldn't have figured out any of this without

Okay, thank-you, I just replaced my executable with update 2. I spoke a little too soon, as there is still a little bookmark bug I'm experiencing. While the bookmarks.html file is loading fine now, and existing bookmarks from this original file function fine, unfortunately a problem occurs when I try to create a new bookmark. It saves the name of the link, but not the URL associated with it.

Thanks JohnHell and Guenter for your suggestions. I tried the trick suggested by Guenter (place my bookmarks.html file in the default location, then change the location in the preferences dialog box, then set it to default), and that did the trick! It just means that my bookmarks file will be in the default location, but I'm okay with that until a new fixed version of K-Meleon comes out. Note

Hi, I had been using K-Meleon 1.6, but it fails to load many web pages properly, so I downloaded version 74. I have Windows XP, and I believe SP 2. Note, I'm just a user of the program, not a developer. Anyway, I'd like to re-use my old Mozilla style bookmarks, which I had been keeping in My Documents. But, when I try to direct K-Meleon to use those bookmarks, it says in the preferences wind

Also, to get the error message, just go to profiles.google.com I'm logged into my profile, and it says it doesn't support the browser, and then I clicked on "Learn More".

Thanks for looking into this. I put the following string in custom user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.18) Gecko K-Meleon/1.6.0 not Firefox/3.5 Do you agree with this? Maybe it can be simplified? I just cut/pasted it from a message in this forum.

Thank-you, I tried out the Search Bar Plus, but while it does provide a separate search bar, it doesn't have the nice feature where it gives suggestions as you beginning to type. It's more of a nicety, not a necessity. I can just go to Google's main page and it works there.

I know that one can put in either URL or a search in the same bar, but it would nice to have the option of a separate search bar. Not only that, but have a Javascript that anticipates what you're typing and offers suggestions (to save on having to type in the whole thing before hitting search button). They have this in Firefox.

I noticed that KM doesn't work properly with Google profiles. Google even provides an error message saying so, suggesting that I get a different browser. It also fails with Google Picasa, probably for the same reasons. That would be helpful to fix this, so that I can just use one browser (KM).

When I used Firefox, I would have multiple windows open, each with possibly multiple tabs. The fastest way to open a new window, especially when I was doing something else (non browser-related), was to start Firefox window by way of the Start Menu of Windows. This was faster than going to one of my already open Firefox windows then going File -> Open New Window. I can do the same thing wit

Hi, do you mean actually type this whole string in custom user agent?: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.18) Gecko K-Meleon/1.6.0 not Firefox/3.5

Hi, I'm switching from Firefox, where I've organized my bookmarks into folders. In FF there's an option to "open all tabs at once" in that bookmark folder. Can this be done in K-Meleon? Thanks!
