for site-specific user-agent override, it looks like this: general.useragent.override.<domain> = <spoofed user-agent> Example: general.useragent.override.addons.mozilla.org = "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:27.9) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.9 (Pale Moon)" Really, that works? (cannot test, not online) That would mean no interference with global settings, and for

Regarding site-specific UserAgents, finally found a really interesting link: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3031074 If that is true, that all it would take for a macro is a bit pref-juggling, that would be quite interesting. Providing the engine has the function itself working already.

Finally got my hands on a better machine again, and could look at things myself! And took a bunch of notes right away, just looking around a bit, without surfing. For example since a few years the Compact menu (gear wheel) is active out-of-box, no main menu line visible. But that means, still no Open-File command by menu. It's still missing. The only other missing one was "Offline" m

Dorian!! Ouf, kinda glad you're back :) :) :) PS: Have almost finished the useragent macro with Gecko+Goanna-compat. And -couldn't resist- added another little gimmick, a "Last Input" function, to later remember again a manually typed "custom" agent. Will post it tomorrow.

Callahan, very sorry for your trouble :( But am sure you can fix this permanently if you want. This is 100% some custom macro doing this. Toggling that pref is sometimes used in macros as a workaround to save something in a defined folder without having to pop up each time an annyoing save-box. Then it's supposed to be toggled back automatically too - but unfortunately that "automatic" s

I have all the boxes checked under File Handling: X Offer to save the file X Ask whether to open or save the file X Ask where to save the file That's not all. In fact, the usual suspect for exactly this prob is at the bottom: "Save as option". That must be UNchecked.

Sometimes a look into about:config page helps to finding things quickly. Perhaps filter for "download" or "save", if anything looks suspicious?

despite having the preferences "Kmeleon.install_firefox_extension" and "xpinstall.enabled" in TRUE, I can not install any extension in k-meleon 74 or k-meleon 75.0 .... what may have happened and how to solve it? Regarding XPI-addons, was much surprised to learn from Hermes some days ago that yet another pref matters: "general.useragent.compatMode.firefox"!! (or

for UA issue, should I just replace it with "UserAgent for K-meleon 7x.x 2017-11-27s.zip"? USERAGENTS: In my opinion yes (anyone else?) That is, just the kmm+js files are enough. Both KM75 compat-macros can be deleted then (1-uagent.kmm is just older version of 2-useragentmode.kmm) The function of 2-useragentmode.kmm is included in our newer macro too, so can be deleted too. The readme.html's are still claiming completely wrong Versions, especially for ES+DE+RU even in the title. And all languages are linking to much outdated release notes, either KM75 or KM74. http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/ReleaseNotes74 For release notes, can you please create a new wiki page ReleaseNotesGoanna or similar? Or anyone else here can do that too. It could be almost empty for

Sure, but there are only very few people here, and personally we're using other versions these times - without that bug. Either older versions due to old system, or long since moved to KM76RC already. Of course it's a bug. This talk is just about trying to figure out more details, perhaps any workarounds, but not much hope anyway.

There have been cases when users had to edit omni.ja's themselves. Just noticed: in the gecko-build I can unzip them, in goanna-build not.

sorry, have zero clue about xul. Am not a developer, just a normal User, playing with simple macrolanguage, and if forced occasionally struggling with JS-snippets. That usually means researching js-basics on the web each time and forgetting most of that complicated stuff right away again some days later. Grmpf. Something else: Keep reading here that startupCache folder can cause problems. Any

URGHH... sorry, but have just taken a look into their forum source code, found among other sources an adservice at nuggad.net and opened that site directly. There's an advert for "smart audience universe". Click on that thumbnail - it just makes you SICK to the stomach again!!! They praise how detailed they can deliver you ads: not just by interests, but also by hundred other details,

Thanks for the links George, not sure if he already noticed the handy kmext-archive :) Just in this special case here, he wanted to duplicate it in a new WINDOW too, so did need a new macro anyway. So it was easier to just put both (tab+window) into the same macro, considering the basic function consists just of ultrasimple 1-liners (opentab()/opennew()), instead of juggling with 2 separate kmm

Sorry it took so long, have finally corrected the "promp" in the wiki. And while at it, also added a few little examples for other stuff. But frankly, after struggling again to understand all this "permissions" and exception stuff, for example here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,143186,143335#msg-143335 And then looking again at rodocops screenshot of his Pro

...and in last KM76 versions the loader.exe was gone, thought that's intentional, now it's back (old source?) And the KM75-beta bug with 2 UA macros (both just for compat-mode) is back again. It would be great too if both could be replaced with the macro that John and I recently posted here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,143209 It's basically an updated version of the old one t

Waah... I see you have already included my trouble-info macro - that's GREAT, except that it's not ready yet by far! Uh oh, must hurry up... And while you're at macros (:D) Dorian has added a very long very hard missed function: $OnSwitchTab Prob is, he only added it to the macros.dll, but forgot the var-creation and function-creation in main.kmm! Otherwise it works, we've recently tested it.

Ah ok. So I can create the macro for all menu in menu.cfg for example SelectedText, Toolbars or other... Exactly :) And also the menus created by main.kmm in the macros folder. If you want to modify a menu and know already its displayed name, for example "&File" or "&Edit" or "&View" or "Page &Properties", then you can use it directl

if I would like have this function with right click anywhere on the page and not on the tab how can I do it? That menu is called "DocumentPopup" (created in menus.cfg) Or use one if its submenus, then it may show up in other menus as well.

Thank you too, Mello! PS just in case: of course the same shortcut to the real "clear all" must be deleted in accel.cfg, or it's pure luck which of the 2 commands KM will execute. I'm using this hot key script I found here Add following to accel.cfg in browser/settings: %ifplugin privacy CTRL SHIFT VK_DELETE = macros(kPrivacy_ClearAll) %endif

Hi and welcome! Yes that definitely sounds like a little macro job, just opening URLs in tab or windows. The FF addon page says it does: 1) duplicate tab 2) duplicate tab to new window 3) detach tab 4) merge windows 1) right-click on the Go-Button and click "Open in new page" 2) not yet 3) right-click on a tab and "Detach Tab", OR menu File (if hidden: Alt+F) then &qu

4) KM 7x Gecko doesn't handle the pref browser.visited.color (as well as ignores Colors from about:рreferences/Content) I was unable to change this color any way: not by pref, not by usercss. Dimly remember that Mozilla did not WANT this anymore, because it was bad for privacy or such. Just in case, you checked those prefs? https://support.mozilla.org/de/questions/1048678

I would really like very much if there could be published a "final" version of KM76-Gecko first, before proceeding to newer engines. Or possibly to the Palemoon-engine Goanna, as in the works by roytam1, soon almost finished as it seems. But that one is still based on obsolete KM75/76beta files in the repository, instead of RC2 source. KM76RC has been "almost finished" for s
