Another macro from the "List-all-links" category. This one opens a search box where you can type some text to search inside all LINKS of the current page. The macro will create a hit list with target URLs and link names. When leaving the search box empty, ALL links get listed. You can customize the style of that list by editing the kmm-file, for example the column width or co

We keep disagreeing on this, but that's not new ;-) The prob is not all of them are harmless, they can just as well spread trojans or ransomware or viruses that may cost real lifes, if landing on a hospital server or such. Am not a laywer, but we keep reading all the time that people who had no clue that a perp was abusing some equipment of theirs can be punished too if they didn't do everything t

Ah no, and just realized another evil trick. Seems like abusing a software bug: if a link URL is not written before but after |, then the INFO page does not list the URL at all! Only the first word of the name on the right side. And such fake links are not listed at their position mid-site like the others, but at the very bottom of the info page link list. So I thought, the only chance is now t

@Dorian: tons of malware posters on the KM site again :( Please check the UpdatedPages. Only took a quick glance now, after finally updating the download page with "last dev version" 76RC instead of alpha1, at least in EN. But cannot bear it anymore since awhile. Had to give up that futile race after all those evil people, considering they are the only KM site 'authors' since ye

New users often run into bugs if they install the portable version into the default "programs" folder, due to missing write permission there. Recently there was even this crazy case, that a user posted several months (if not a year?) about vanishing history and bookmarks, until finally it turned out: he did indeed use the portable setting (profile.ini in root folder) despite a missing wr

Okay, if you like try macro "Tablistia": http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,139627

Experimental ALPHA macro with several functions, either for creating a list of the current session with clickable URLs+TITLEs (storable as html-page), or for EXPLORING older stored sessions or those in other profiles or in backups etc., even showing old page titles too. It READS sessions stored by the native sessions plugin and creates a html-page from them, but doesn't modify those native sessi

Sigh, can't stand it any longer. Have wasted such an incredible amount of time on my tablistia macro last winter and finally had to interrupt and now may never get it fully finished, ARGH :-( But am going to finally post this alpha-version now anyway, it's probably just what you need. It's not rock stable yet, a function or two have bugs and the UI needs more improvement, but works best in KM75.

Only have a dim memory that it's some file with a "random" name in the profile folder, and editing will depend from the file type.

This sounds like it could get very interesting for us too - some day in the future ;-) But also interesting for occasional FF users: http://www.ghacks.net/2016/08/14/override-firefox-add-on-signing-requirement/ Mozilla implemented the add-on signing security feature in Firefox some time ago, and made it mandatory in Firefox 48 for the Stable and Beta channel. This means that Firefox users

As I can see, the new Dorian's inbuilt adblock kplugin is lightweight exactly due to the absense of support for css element hiding... Is this also true for KM 76's built-in adblock plugin? Yes, sure. Have overlooked that, but better late then never ;-) My impression was always that the new "simple adblock plugin" is working additionally to the traditional css-adblocking. The

The newer KM version seem quite often to have some "black problem", and Dorian couldn't fix it a long time but thought it was meanwhile. Which KM version have you tried? Also the latest KM76RC2? An older tip, seems to help sometimes: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?8,138447,138595#msg-138595

Can't resist, for anyone interested just a little tip for understanding macro MENUS better, because customizing them is fun and easy  (Well in most cases :P This UA one is admittedly a more complicated advanced one, but most tiny macros are just unnecessarily convoluted and copied again and again in other macros without need) So, for everything menu related just look for the "setmen

Too complicated for everyday use ;-) But great for occasionally testing new strings that aren't in the menu yet. I created the two files as described. But where can I change the UA string now? In older versions this was under settings/paranoia. Is it not there anymore? Haven't checked in new version, but there used to be 3-4 ways, for different tastes. The menu is found in TOOLS Menu

Not quite sure what exactly you mean, but out-of-box Favorites are disabled. Must be switched on first in F2>KM Plugins

Since you say FF has the same prob, it usually helps to search for FF+bug (whichever) directly, considering their 1000x (??) larger userbase. And a search for "firefox" duolingo "nothing" sounds like it might be codec/html5/settings related: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=206278 https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/3ke5ob/html5_audio_wont_play_in_firefox/

Okay, just the RESET function, and have only tested in KM1.6, but if you wanna give it a try: open the shortcuts file accels.cfg in notepad, add this at end and restart: CTRL VK_END=macros(Go_Reset) or CTRL VK_DELETE=macros(Go_Reset) whichever you really need. Your post above mentions both.

Personally see no major prob there, but don't hit me, am just a little user like you not a dev  Anyway, if I want to delete the rest of a URL, the typical windows behaviour I'm familiar with since decades is hitting Shift+End, that highlights it, and then just the backspace button to clear it. Never had a prob with that. In theory we could define a macro that uses Ctrl+End, just no idea

That's not "offtopic" IMO, but very important for browsing. Glad you guys keep posting such links, because I keep forgetting them, sigh. Just want to add a tip regarding "using different profiles with different settings": My macro "Blockeria" is extremely handy for mass-switching customized settings with one click, in the same profile during the same session :)

Perhaps it's something complicated, but perhaps just simple settings? Whenever I login somewhere and it immediately switches back to login page, it's always a reminder: oops, forgot to allow cookies! - cookies must be allowed - some sites may even insist to have 3rd party cookies allowed too - some may want referers allowed too, for http+https - some may only let certain useragents in (fake

I fully understand it's confusing. The most important thing that most people aren't even aware of is that there are actually _3_ different adblock extensions for KM now! And all three completely independant of each other. And all that adblock-talk sounds so similar, it keeps one constantly on the toes - hm ok, which one exactly are we talking about at the moment?? Yes it would make a lot of sense

No ethical company would knowingly and intentionally distribute a product containing a faulty component made by another company, right? (...) If the current engine doesn't work well, find a better one (I suggest; Chrome's, perhaps?)! Claiming a browser (and its developer) being "unethical" just because it's not perfect and contains bugs that may crash occasionally, putting it as if ev

On about:config there are also some interesting prefs to find, like "javascript.options.strict" or those JS "jit" options. Not sure what they do, just saying.

LOL!

Sigh, being curious, I couldnt resist experimenting a bit with KM1.6  Not much, and no JS, considering tons of baidu-spyware and trojans reported. And after a while got a "different" page... no bird! Still mostly empty, but probably caused by blocked JS, no idea. Anyway, if anyone wants to test further, my current test settings are (and maybe only 1 or 2 were necessary?): - ALL
