File hosting for downloads

I've had a couple of people reporting difficulty in accessing downloads from RapidShare ( http://rapidshare.de/ ), and I've had problems myself accessing from work. I think this may have something to do with proxy servers, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I've been experimenting with FileLodge ( http://www.filelodge.com/ ) and although you have to minimally sign-up to upload, you get 500MB of space, 50MB maximum file size, hot linking, and no expiration even if files aren't accessed for a time. (RapidShare deletes them after 30 days.)

Anyone else got recommendations?

http://www.megaupload.com/

250 MB for a single upload, it's also hosted for 30 days.

I haven't actually used it, so I can't comment on download speed from their servers, for example.

http://www.putfile.com/

Although putfile won't help with the type of files that are uploaded througout the K-Meleon community, I figured I could put it up for those with blogs or websites that need to host a few large files and don't want to have an extremely high bandwidth bill.

Maybe can try the new Googe Pages, which can host files up to 100mb.

Wow, yes Dekan! That should definitely help us to have more choices. Thanks.

Update: FileLodge worked fine for a few weeks until they asked me to "verify" my account by sending a text message from my mobile phone - at a cost of £5 GBP! No thanks, I'll pass. Seems like they wait until you have settled in to using their service then they try to crank up the cash. (Currently trying HyperUpload instead.)

Myfilehut.com is another one, 250 MB upload space and 10GB bandwidth per month.
