First i would like to thank you for all your great work, and second, i have a sort of question; Are there going to be new builds and continuations, perhaps a 0.05??? Or is this the end for this build of K-Meleon????

hao,
Are you basing this on Dorian's beta or on a final release from him that I've not yet seen?
Tks,

I have a question, what's the Difference between this version and the "K-MeleonCCF ME" series.
I remember reading the answer somewhere a while ago but I can't seem to find it anymore

ME stands for Minimal Edition. Basically, the Minimal Edition keeps the essential features and takes out the less important ones to improve speed and load times.

I made a big mistake when making the installation package. I included the wrong session plugin. Now the problem has been fixed and the download file has been updated. Please download it again. Sorry.

Hao, I don't think this Advanced Calculator is necessary. It seems pointless as the calculator that comes with windows already has most of these functions. If you need a calculator for doing something more complex than what the default Windows calculator can do, it seems as though you would find your own solution (as I have).
A few minor spelling errors/typos:
Proxys is spelled Proxies.
"Set Use Defined Proxy" in the "Proxys" menu should have an R after "Use"
In the "Groups" menu, "Creat Group" should be "Create Group"
Other minor problems:
In the installation, I chose to only install the Favorites plugin, but the Bookmarks plugin is there too alongside the Favorites plugin when I made sure that I chose not to install it. Why don't you bring back the "Allow windows to be resized" and "Block windows from being resized" to the (Tools > Advanced Preferences) menu? I added them back in 0.04 RC2 and it worked just the way it should. Also... the "Page Cache" still doesn't work. I put together a macro to fix the problem a week or so ago. Here it is:
http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?f=1&i=33993&t=33993
I'm sorry for being so critical, but I just want to make sure you have a high quality release worth of the title of "Final".
Thank you for this release, Hao. I expect it will be great fun to use, just as your other releases are! Happy New Year!
Brian

[Pathches]
* Fixed some spelling mistakes
* Fixed "view page cache" not working
+ Add Tools->Advanced preference-> Allow/Forbid modification
All credits go to Brian for his suggestions and macros.
The file has been updated and ready to download.

Thank you very much, Hao. I just now downloaded it and plan on installing it as soon as I finish up this post.
Thanks again for putting out such wonderful work. You are a busy man, I know. It's nice to know that you are willing to take the time to consider suggestions from users and make the changes. Maybe if software companies worked this way more often, we'd all have computers the size of a penny with sensors that allowed us to just type with our fingers with an imaginary keyboard. This would make for some interesting glances on the ride home on the subway, haha.
Thanks, Hao!

You should have wait for a new build because I've fixed some annoying bugs.
Is someone willing to make some memory usage tests and compare with the layer version? I'm suspecting some problems in the memory usage of the tab version.

for the first time I'am using a browser of the KM-group which is not the standard version.
I am quite happy with this browser and therefore thanks a lot for Hao's great work.
But there is one thing that is a bit annoying: Zengiman asks some days ago "why doesn't the sidebar open when I start the browser ? I have to do that manually every time the browser is started." I dont' know if I understand well but the answers of Fred refered to his own versions. If this is right, is there a possibility to change this for Hao's CCF-Version ?
Best regards.
Tim

Glitch in the favorites plugin:
http://brian2006.be/pics/SS/favplugin.jpg
Also, earlier... I was writing a reply in one of the forums and I was about halfway through my reply when the URL bar grabbed focus. Is there a timer set, maybe?
It showed my homepage URL (
http://www.google.com/ig ) in the URL bar... is it because maybe my homepage (which was open in another tab at the time) tried to refresh, and therefore stole focus in the URL bar? By the way, it stayed on the same tab... it did not switch to the Google tab. It simply switched focus to the URL bar and showed the URL of my homepage.

Nice release but unfortunately the bookmarks plugin from Dorians package is broken. Since dorians package I cannot use any of my old bookmark files, kmeleon will crash on startup so I have to delete the bookmarks.html from my profile. Guess I'll gave to switch to favorites but I loose the nick features. I hope Dorian can fix this issue shortly.

I just took a
security test with this version of K-MeleonCCF and these are the results I got with only java and popups blocked:
High Risk Vulnerabilities: 0
Medium Risk Vulnerabilities: 0
Low Risk Vulnerabilities: 0
Looks like Dorian and Hao did well.

CCF rocks! Quick question about skins. I like using the XP theme for kmeleon. The easiest way to do that is to delete "back" background image. However, since the provided icons aren't completely "transparent", the background doesn't shine through. How do I edit the icons to work? Great job!

Well, editing the icons to work would not be a simple task as I figured out a few weeks ago when I tried to just this exact thing. If the XP is not coming through very well, it's probably just something that's wrong with the skin. Maybe you should try downloading a different theme from the K-Meleon Themes Wiki:

Unless it is a glich of Your system?
to "repair" a theme You would often have to redo the magic pink of the icons
- which is as time consuming as brian suggested.
Look at posts by Al and Rapido about work with themes.
They also speak about problems.

I know I have to repair the skin, parts of it is missing the magic pink. Is there a simple freeware program to achieve this?

I'm not sure, the task manager in 2k/Xp should be fine as long as you look at the VM usage. Else you may try
process explorer

I really love this version, worked with it for some hours - so far no bugs until this very moment where it tells me that javascript doesn't work although in preferences - general - java and javascript are enabled. Am I the only one? How can this be altered?
Thx
