I don't know if it's the 1.8b2 engine or something fred did when he made the mod4 version, but it can actually handle internet shortcuts (something only IE has been able to do up till now). The wesheclbarg version (which uses 1.8a1) can't handle them, and 0.92 with GRE 1.78 can't handle them (both just treat them as a plain text file), but associate them with 1.8b2 mod, and they work perfectly.
It must be in the 1.8b2 engine.
