Can anyone tell me what browser.turbo.enabled in about:config does?
I may be mistaken but I believe that's just a pref for the pre-loader in Mozilla.

It's a hold-over in K-Meleon from the Gecko coding of Mozilla and applies to their "Quick Launch" feature. When that's enabled it loads their version of our Loader. When engaged in K-Meleon (or Firebird for that matter) it can (but not always) crash the browser so that you have to go manually into prefs.js and reset it to "false" (or "0" or whatever it should be).
I hope I shed a little more light on that setting.
