When you say "bookmark", I assume you mean favorites. If you're using the favorites plugin, then yes.

On my old K6-2 450mhz, K-Meleon just might become my default browser -- quite fast!

I still love Firebird, though. Both browsers are great and aiming at slightly different things, and I hope that both will keep such high standards.

I have to agree that K-meleon's speed is a hell lot faster then it used to be and it's faster than Firebird. The Only feature I'm missing is the Auto-Complete feature.

That's the only browser that I can run on my old laptop Toshiba (486 DX2, 48 MB RAM, Windows 95) and surf the web.
Internet Explorer sucks nowadays, it displays a lot of scrap, popups and other s**t, older versions don't display most of the sites properly.
Kmeleon does it very well, tabbed browsing is what I like.
The only way to say whether one browser is better than another is to install both of them onto a slow machine. Then you can tell the difference.
Kmeleon is no.1 as far as speed is concerned if enough RAM is available.
I can give you a example:
K6-2-500 MHz with 640 MB of RAM, Windows 2000 pro SP4, DSL
http://weather.icm.edu.pl opening time:
1. Kmeleon - 17 secons
2. Firebird - 22 seconds
3. IE 5.5 - 23 seconds
4. IE 6.0 - 30 seconds
5. Mozilla 1.5alpha- 50 seconds
6. Mozilla 1.3 stable - 55 seconds.
On other, more complex sites, kmeleon is even faster.

Hi
On my PC (Athlon 2700+XP 2.16GHz 480 RAM on 600k broadband) with KM Version 0.8.0 Build 838 the above page loads in 3 seconds.

Furthermore I would like to add that the new above build is great with better menus and icons, layer menus icon and Preferences > Profile - This browser is simply #1 by a long, long chalk.

I literally feel honoured and proud to use KM with it's highly configurative, ease of use and speed.

A massive thanks to the developers and testers for making such a top browser. Greatly appreciated grinning smiley

Strange. Do you have your Windows configured not to preload IE? I have slower PC specs than you and IE never takes that long to load. I rarely use IE anymore but those load times seem odd.
