Ok. I changed everything as you said with Notepad++. Now, I get this:
at line 345:; expected but find } (I did add
The variable '$kToolbars' is used without being initialized.
The variable '$OnSetup' is used without being initialized.
The variable '$OnInit' is used without being initialized.
The variable '$OnLoad' is used without being initialized.
The variable '$OnActivateWindows' is used without being initialized.
The variable '$kToolbars' is used without being initialized.
The variable '$Macromodules' is used without being initialized.
The variable '$OnOpenWindows' is used without being initialized.
The variable '$OnOpenTab' is used without being initialized.
The variable '$OnLoadOnce' is used without being initialized.
Many of them are shown many times.
I am really not good at macros, that is a fact ...
Just leave it, I won't need GreaseMeleon anyway.

Please, verify integrity of some files
You must check in the files from GreaseMeleon:
- C:\Program Files\K-Meleon\scripts\bugs\bug001.user.js
- C:\Program Files\K-Meleon\scripts\21626.user.js (youtube download button) OR
Go to
Tools > GreaseMeleon > Script Editor > View Script in Browser (select youtube download button)
**PS: Set youtube download button as
Script nº 1 because some scripts with errors and not compatible can stop the next script

I did as you told me, but still download button is not seen. It gives me No script is active on this page, although I have added this script and I can see it in script list.
Just to be sure I will try add this lines in prefs.js.

I have tried this greasemeleon on my 1.5 dont work for me either in fact ive tried several things on my kmeleon and nothing seems to work as far as something i really wanted ,,and then if it does work then something else goes wrong. so i just give up on it...theres no sense in throwing gas on the fire.

Try this script:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/9467
It say "Error: missing } in compound statement"
Since the script work in Firefox it can't be that the "}" is missing.
Is this a bug in GreaseMeleon 2.01 or in K-Meleon 1.5.3?
Re: GreaseMeleon 2.01 - (GreaseMonkey)

theoretically all scripts should work on all browsers that support site manipulation through js but it isn't always the case.. sometimes a script does indeed have a bug which will be ignored in one browser but a more fussy browser will not accept and other scripts do rely on browser-specific services.
this script was obviously written to facilitate poorn related surfing, those by default are blocked in kmeleon and anything poorno is crippled in kmeleon. the reason is mysterious.. nobody knows why but km has serious issues with nudity

I tried several times to use the GreaseMeleon extension, and it didn't work. Although my scripts were in the scripts folder, GreaseMeleon was unable to locate them.
I would like to try it again, which one is the last tested, version 1.5.3 compatible, GreaseMeleon version?
Thanks.

I noticed that changing a javascript comment also change the error in K-Meleon, so problably it is the K-Meleon javascript engine that it is entirely bugged.
Any solution?
@disrupted: It supports also some poorn download sites, but it isn't specifically for poorn.
Re: GreaseMeleon 2.01 - (GreaseMonkey)

i was only joshing about the poorn.. the js engine in km is coded inside gecko so it should not be different than ff 2.0 so in theory if a script works in ff it should work in km, however in some rare cases km have shown to be very unforgiving with poorly coded js whilst ff2.0 had no problem. the problem or bug is probably in greasemeleon.. unfortunately greasemonkey in ff is better integrated in the browser..more stable and far less buggy. i don't like greasemeleon very much because it's extremely picky and one bad script could mess up all the added scripts.. also it has low tolerance towards too many scripts making things go haywire and not just affecting sites included in scripts but also crippling some sites not in the scripts. another thing is some scripts do not work if they are added after some other scripts and will only work if they are added first..try to remove other scripts one by one then rrestart kmeleon and add this script first, hopefully this will make it work.

It is the only script installed.
It is really strange that changing only a comment change the error displayed by K-Meleon.
Re: GreaseMeleon 2.01 - (GreaseMonkey)

i tried this script in seamonkey with mod greasemonkey and x-sidebar and it didn't work either.. so it's probably compatible with firefox only, it seems most script writers focus mostly on fff and opera and not on other browsers.
desga knows a way to remove incompatible sections using a bug script but i forgot how to do it.. it might be possible to inject the script directly with a macro but will need some brain storming and if possible can you describe what exactly it's supposed to do because i didn't really understand the author's description.. thanks

I have K-Meleon 1.5.3 with GreaseMeleon 2.01.
I have tried a simple script and it say "syntax error,
Source code:
alert(document.()addEventListener);":
Quote
// ==UserScript==
// @name Test
// @include
http://*
// @include file://*
// ==/UserScript==
var onKeyEvent = function(e){};
alert(document.addEventListener);
if(document.addEventListener)
{
document.addEventListener("keydown", onKeyEvent, false);
document.addEventListener("keyup", onKeyEvent, false);
}

Why this happen?
Re: GreaseMeleon 2.01 - (GreaseMonkey)

i don't have much experience with greasemeleon, i only tried it once wth 2 scripts one to add download button to youtube and the other to download videos from streetfire.. both worked fine but the scripts caused some malfunctions in gmx mail and bbc HYS so i removed it altogether. there're possibly bugs in greasmeleon but desga and xgrind can tell you better.
there's another macro adaptation by joykillr(greasify), i haven't tried it..it could work better.. remove greasemeleon macro and test it out:
