I recently installed adblock plus in version 1.5. The small "ABP" icon now shows up below my tabs and I am unable to get rid of it. I have unchecked the view abblock plus toolbar and it is still there. Any suggestions?
Have you restarted the browser including the Loader.exe?
Also, did you remove the check mark beside Adblock Plus at Edit > Preferences > K-meleon Plugins?

ABP is not part of the original K-Meleon, it's an extension.
There are several threads for it, the latest update is here, in the extensions forum:

It is a bug. Use Disrupted version of ADB instead until the author of ADB figures out how to fix it.

I tried disrupted’s new version of AP+ but I must have done something wrong and could use some help. I first tried following disrupted's instructions at http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,107876 but I don't have an AP+.
I have also tried installing with 7z’s Extract files, then with Extract Files Here and manually installing the new AB+ files to their correct directories. But still I have no AB+. Also, I no longer have AB+ in my list of plugins at Edit > Preferences > K-meleon Plugins or View > Toolbars. Before each method of installation, I first deleted previous AB+ files from their respective directories.
I would sure appreciate some help with this problem.

Belay my last. It just dawned on my that I should have kept ABPlus.dll in the kplugins folder.:O

so, caktus, by placing the ABPlus.DLL file in the Kplugins folder you got ABP working as expected for KM 1.5? ah
