Textise creates a text-only version of the current web-page.

menu entry: page and link context > Text-only View (Textise)

On the extension's home page you can read, this add-on is for Firefox only... what can I say - the power of the macro language grinning smiley.

The extension Quicknote adapted for K-Meleon already does the trick.

sorry i didn't see this one before..alain, it's different from quicknote as it isn't for archiving but uses a web service to transform any website into text only.. somewhat like jsnj's readability or my printify stylesheet, only the website textise rearranges text blocks so it's still has a proper design even after all contents have been removed. added to enhancements with some minor changes to the macro (view menu>text mode)
