update: creates a subdirectory for each domain instead of saving all images for all sites in same folder. subdirectory will be created in kmeleon save folder(not download), in case folder doesn't exist or path incorrect; @mydocuments directory will be used.

saving from different pages from same website will use same folder
e.g saving from http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/news
will create save folder guardian.co.uk
saving from http://www.guardian.co.uk/topics/health
will also use the folder guardian.co.uk
same name files will be overwritten, e.g. guardianlogo.jpg but normally will not affect news images which usually have unique names

download from links above and please clear your cache if you have previously downloaded them or download from mirror(no need to clear cache )

What if a page has thumbnails and when you click on it, a pic is shown in full size? Am I right in thinking that thumbnails and not full-sized pics will be downloaded then?

If there are direct links to the bigger images (not to some intermediate html for each), and if there are not too many too huge images (RAM limit?), then K-Meleon has a quite nice native function:

View > Linked images

They open one below the next in one long page, and this page can then be saved with
File > Save Page As > Web Page Complete

Example page for trying:
http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/wiki/Screenshots

Then again, if there are too many on a page and for resources reasons you'd rather like to have them saved one by one, you could block images (button in privacy bar), then "View>Linked Images", then "View>SourceCode", and then there's certainly some macro in the archives to "download all links" or such... And perhaps it would even work to put those steps together in one single macro command, with OnLoad steps?
