Right Click on Web Search to use ALL engines

I vaguely recall that in an earlier KM, that you could call up all the search engines with some kind of right click function, then scroll down the list to pick a particular engine you needed at that moment.

Right now, if you have the patience, you could load up (one at a time) all the search engines you have by clicking on Tools/Web Search/Configure then
click on Web Search and Add Entries. This could take some time! <g>

Is there a better way?

... or you could try the search+ extension., which adds functionality: mainly SiteSearch, and "Highlight Results in Page"

Senna,

Thanks, I like that. Would like it better if you can add ALL of them at once.

hmmm if you just want add your search engines at the search engine list u can edit the "search.xml" inside your profile folder (go to edit -> configuration -> profile directory) but if you want add directly is possible using macros (if is your case let me know and will write something).

senna,

A macro would be nice, don't you think? For those (of us) who want instant gratification by having all their search engines available at a fingertip, or rather a right-click on the mouse!

here is: http://filipi.com.br/k-meleon/engineSubmition.7z
- add your engines to multisearch at enginesMulti.txt, one url per line.

- add your engines to normal search at engines.txt, with "name"@"url" format per line

to active go to edit -> configuration -> "Add searchs from list" or "Add multi searchs from list"

the word "fim" is the last word of each list and is needed or k-melon will process a infinite loop

this will b useful 4 me 2 smiling smiley

good luck
