Dorian,
kko,
guenter,
Jujuland,
and to everyone else who contributed,
Contratulations on a great browser. Fast, secure, light, flexible. Well done!!
Thank you,
I would also like to add my congrats to the development team for version 1.5. Excellent stability, better rendering speed (even on my old Win98SE dinosaur!), and much lower resource usage with the tabs.

In K-Meleon 1.5 when I choose F2 => Browsing => Window Diversion => Open - URL passed from external application it doesn't work - just in 1.5 version od K-Meleon... when I click on a link for example in my internet communicator ... page open in new window... but it should in new tab... everytime i change this option it change's back to 'Links meant to open a new window" In previous versions it was fine... help! (sorry for my English).
When I click with my middle mouse button on a link, it opens in a new window. I want it to open in a new tab, but I can't find a way to configure this. At this moment I have to click on the right mouse button and in the menu which opens choose for "open in background tab" or "open in new tab" .
Also when I open the file accel.cfg I see the following lines:
# Middle-click links to the background:
%ifplugin layers
MButton = layers(OpenLinkBg)
%else
MButton = ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_BACKGROUND
endif
Well that doesn't work becouse layers aren't used. So maybe there is a fix for this?
Well for the rest most stuff does work allthough I have to test this. Great work guys!
@ datiswous:
This code not exist in 1.5 final release accelerators files (in 1.5 layers plugin is replace by tabs):
# Middle-click links to the background:
%ifplugin layers
MButton = layers(OpenLinkBg)
%else
MButton = ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_BACKGROUND
endif
In menu Edit -> Configuration -> Accelerators, you can see the correct code to do this, only delete # character at begining of line to obtain this code:
# Middle-click links to the background:
%ifplugin tabs
MButton = ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_BACKGROUNDTAB
%else
MButton = ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_BACKGROUND
%endif
@ datiswous & JujuLand:
Yes this is possible if the accel.cfg file is in your profile, yes it's?
This file would work fine except the accels with refference to olds layers functions, ids and macros.
I didn't mean this: I don't want to restore my old preferences, I want to know if it's still possible to manage groups (setting layers as groups, adding layers to an exixting group, etc.)...
With this you can convert yours olds layers groups (1.1.X) in new tabs sessions (1.5).
To create new sessions look in menu "Sessions".
To set a sessions at start look in Sessions -> Options or in View -> Home (or right click over Home buton in toolbar)
A big pat on the back for the K-Meleon team for a job well done & just out of curiosity what happend to the IE user agent feature because it's no longer there.
I used to try many different browsers, including Firefox and Maxthon and all the others. Not one of them can be compared to K-Meleon in regarding to stability, performance and resource management. It even shares many of the features of other browsers, without taxing the PC!
I've been using this browser for the past week, and this is my favorite browser now. You have a winner here, thank you so very much for the hard work in creating this amazing browser.
It really seems most of the other guys forgot that sometimes, we don't need feature X or feature Y, and sometimes, just sometimes, we just want to browse the Internet. Keep up the GREAT work, guys!
