Is trusted + md5 no longer a requirement?

I can't open the latest 7-Zip archive with 7-Zip 9.22. Not sure what the issue could be if others aren't having trouble!
Re: K-Meleon 75 Release Candidate 3, Update 4

I thought it was just a repack with updates to 3. (Sessions.dll was the same file)
Yes, some files, have different hashes so it must be considered
update 4.
Full package with update 4.
Using it now as default K-meleon build.

No, that's for later.

What I found is that the first named session is never opened.
I think I've found the problem. To confirm, remove spellcheck and see if it works.
It's already in the last package, probably the only real change.

Yep, that made the trick.
Disabling speelcheck from preferences or renaming it.
On 2k and XP SP2.
Damn it, now that I could write better thanks to the speelchecker ;P

An earlier version of SpellCheck may have caused problem of sessions not loading when the "Last Session" is deleted under options.
I thought was a problem with sessions.dll (AKA Session Saver" K-Meleon Plugin.
I now realize is most likely caused by SpellCheck K-Meleon Plugin.
Because I tested deleting "Last Session" with SpellCheck both enabled and disabled.
I found out when "Last Session" is deleted with SpellCheck is enabled or disabled. Named Sessions will load after the SpellCheck K-meleon Plugin is disabled at startup.

Enabled and checked (last two parameters in RegisterCmd) work fine on the buttons, but has no effect on menu items.
Function GetWindows crashes km.
Paste this code in error console and open several windows and tabs in km:
Components.utils.import('resource://gre/modules/Services.jsm');
const JSB = Components.classes['@kmeleon/jsbridge;1'].getService(Components.interfaces.nsIJSBridge);
var testgetTabsurl = function () {
Services.console.logStringMessage('wnd.length: ' + JSB.GetWindows().length);
for (var a in JSB.GetWindows()) {
Services.console.logStringMessage('wnd[' + a + '].tab.length: ' + JSB.GetWindows()[a].getTabs().length);
for (var z in JSB.GetWindows()[a].getTabs()) {
Services.console.logStringMessage(
'wnd[' + a + '].tab[' + z + '].url: ' +
JSB.GetWindows()[a].getTabs()[z].contentDOMWindow.document.documentURIObject.spec);
}
}
};
JSB.SetMenuCallback('Misc', 'Test getTabs (get url)', testgetTabsurl, '');
var testgetTabsreload = function () {
for (var a in JSB.GetWindows()) {
for (var z in JSB.GetWindows()[a].getTabs())
JSB.GetWindows()[a].getTabs()[z].contentDOMWindow.document.location.reload(true);
}
};
JSB.SetMenuCallback('Misc', 'Test getTabs (reload)', testgetTabsreload, '');
Edit: Same behavior

The problem that I have encountered is that when my new chkforexist runs, it correctly sees the URL for each tab in the current window. However when it processes the ID_WINDOW_NEXT command it still sees the URLs for the tabs in the first window. It does not see the URLs for the tabs in the second window.
Also, nsIWindowMediator is useless, i tried to use two methods, but does not work at all.

Does it keep scrolling back up or not when you try to scroll down in that page?

Had a quick look at 75RC3up4 (RC4?) now, just superficial, no time for macro stuff.
The hidden toolbar lines work fine again, love it!
The
back.bmp is missing in default skin. If a user discovers the setting and toggles it, nothing happens. I'd happily donate one of my selfmade gradient pics in classiria skin, are nothing special but guaranteed PD, a lot nicer as klassic-pic and just by working helps newsbies to understand this GREAT feature. One of the top features I love in KM
3 native macros are still called "user-defined" in F2, incl. "places". Could lead users to delete it, thinking it must be malware since they did not install it themselvers, then later complain about broken history or just trash the browser for this.
In the pref sheets the max number of
tab lines is by default "0", acting like 1.

Edit > Config > Toolbars does now finally open the toolbars.cfg - at last ;-)
But it's the one and only original one from the default prefs, shouldn't be messed with and broken accidentally. Why not just put a copy into the skins/default folder? In case of desaster it could simply be deleted.
Re: K-Meleon 75 Release Candidate 3, Update 4

KM makes it rather hard on figuring out its version. The safest way seems the file properties of km.exe. But inside the running browser itself I haven't found a way, except Help>About KM - but this only shows the current user agent, which could well be a fake one!
Out-of-the-box it even claims to be a firefox, grummel...
So far for macros my only (bad) workaround is checking the gecko version in platform.ini
Wouldn't it be easier for all users if the version would simply be added to the default pref for the window title? One of the first thing us forum members do with a new version is fixing that title for exactly that reason, cause we need that.
Or it could be on the readme-page, guess it was there in the past.

The toolbars.cfg still explains at the bottom:
# NO TOOL BAR IMAGES = TEXT BASED TOOL BAR WITH BUTTON NAMES FOR IMAGES
Suggestion to add a second line:
# Button name starts with ! sign = Text based toolbar. If images are defined, the buttons show Image+Name

Would you consider allowing all 19 of your backgrounds to be available to skins that
do not contain their own back.bmp file?
I have almost completed a system that is very easy for the user to select and use any background from a palette of twenty. Number 20 is my own bmp file.
I am a slow with graphics, html, and css. The macro is nearly complete. The basic concept is all tested and works with only three choices. Adding the other bmp files just takes a little more time.

Function GetWindows crashes km.
If your using function i didn't talk about and was not even tested, obviously it won't work well.
Here a fix.

Also, nsIWindowMediator is useless, i tried to use two methods, but does not work at all.
WM enumerate xul windows, and kmeleon has no xul windows.
Looks fine for me too.

I am old and I forget where things are located, so I made specific.kmm as crutch for my memory. I think it would be great to have the version on the readme-page. Macros can see the numeric version using $VERSION, but that won't help a newbi.

BUG in translate macro
One of those that make you
I'm not a master with building menus through macro, so I can't find the problem, but when you click in the separator between "Google Translate" and "Languages" in the "Tools > Translation > Using" popup menu, it reloads the current page
Very weird.
Happening in 2k and XP SP2. Sometimes you need to click twice to fire this. I don't know why.
And about the translation macro, why do I have so few languages in my daily profile compared to a fresh test profile? :-?

Yep - and funny one!
Same on Vista. Of course it made me curious and examine a bit. It seemed to happen when there's only 1 entry in the inline menu now (babelfish is gone), not with two.
(And was shocked to find "rebuildmenu" lines in that one, always thought that wouldn't do anything at all?)
Anyway, had a very shady memory, this separator bug sounded familiar... And BINGO, after some searching found this:
http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,109411
desga had figured out 2 solutions:
- it only happens after startup, as long as "google" isn't actively chosen
- it can be fixed when adding some more code at the end of the macro, simulating that menu click

Re: K-Meleon 75 Release Candidate 3, Update 4

I have to say that I don't use the translation macro myself (in fact, no service has a checkmark) I just was curious if I could add
https://www.bing.com/translator (as I find more accurate most of the times) as another service easily, when, without intend it, I clicked in the separator and voilà .
I leave the fix for Dorian as I don't need it myself and it is most important for the whole user base, so included in the next update/release, but good to know there is a fix.
