Anyone have the Tab order problem with the new session plugin? For example, if I run Kmeleon with a blank Tab, then I open, let's say, 10 Tabs, the order is Tab1, Tab2, Tab3,...,Tab10. In the session options, I set "open last session at startup". Then I close Kmeleon. When I run Kemelon again, the tab order becomes Tab1,Tab10,Tab9,...,Tab2. It's kind of reversed

Do you open tab "next to the current one" ?

Yes, I set "open tab next to the current one". Is it the cause? The old session plugin does't have this problem.

@Rodocop;

Thanks for the try, but it's the same.

I have tried with 75b3 and 75b1.

Transparency is correct whith 75b1, but fails with 75b3 and 75rc

Probably the way used to display it ...

[Edit]

I have tested replacing the folder default by the 75b1 default folder, and the problem is the same.

Perhaps a problem with some dll in wine ?

Try to replace toolbars.dll with one from 75b1

@rodocop:

Replacing the rc version with b1 version doesn't solve the problem.
Replacing b1 version with rc version, no problem with km b1
Same when cross-testing default skin.

=> The problem seems due to Kmeleon.exe 75rc or a kmeleon (gecko ?) dll

Have you this problem with your linux ?
I'm under Ubuntu 12.04, with wine 1.4 (it's a little old, but no upgrade possible for 12.04, 1.6 for 14.04) and wine-pipelight

Which linux build are you using ?

Other problem (probably linked with the previous problem):

Text Display fails with AuraAlpha(CNoT) for privacy bar with b3 and rc.

b1 :

rc :

We can also notice no push button effect, and that there is some problem with the limit of the picture and the pseudo transparency (black points). Some rest of transparency problem, which weren't visible in b1.

Dorian: There's another bug that I've been noticing for a while. The bug is that when watching a flash video, going to another tab, and back to it causes it to show the frame that was last displayed before switching then it shows the actual frame its now at. An example can be viewed by going to http://www.twitch.tv/werster/v/3835336.

I was testing KM under Puppy Linux (being precise - under one of 'puplets', Puppy custom user derivatives) with Wine 1.7.x

I'll try again someday with different KM builds.

I don't try RC version yet, but in previus beta versions when you view source of web page you can't do mouse-scroll in view source window.

This works OK in KM75RC on Win 7. There 1654 lines in source for this forum.

Confirm this. It seems to be one of the page focus problems: getting back to video page shows video 'freezed' at the moment of leaving tab - until you move mouse upon this page (or start any other interaction).

No problem at all under Windows 2000 in Windows and Tab modes.

My flash version is the ESR 13.0.0.277 that you can download in the General forum. Try it and tell.

In beta3 the commands Edit>Config>Toolbars+MenuIcons produced Not-Found-errors, because the default-skin folder doesn't contain them.

No, for the default skin they can't be found since the paths have changed. For the Klassic skin (or other old style skins) they get found.

I have a fix for that. Edit the cfg.kmm file and make two small changes.

After cfg_skin{ and before cfg_Settings{ insert the following:

cfg_Default{
macroinfo=_("Edit a configuration file");
$ext="cfg"; &getExtensionHandler; $cfg_File=$ARG.".".$ext; $__temp="\\defaults\\settings\\";
$__path=getfolder(RootFolder)."\\browser\\defaults\\settings\\".$cfg_File; $__data=readfile($__path);
$__data==""?$__path=getfolder(RootFolder).$__temp.$cfg_File:0;
$__data==""?&cfg_FileNotFound:exec(sub("%1",$__path,$cmdline));
}

Within the _cfg_BuildMenu{ section replace the line:
setmenu($__m,macro,"&Toolbars","cfg_Skin(toolbars)");
with the following lines:
if (fileexists(getfolder(SkinFolder)."\\toolbars.cfg" )) {
   setmenu($__m,macro,"&Toolbars","cfg_Skin(toolbars)");
   } else {
   setmenu($__m,macro,"&Toolbars","cfg_Default(toolbars)");
   }

Save the file and restart KM.

Please let me know if there are situations where this does not work

That gets me playing too, sorry but macros are just infectious :cool: smiling smiley

In cfg.kmm:
if (fileexists(getfolder(SkinFolder)."\\menuicons.cfg" ))
setmenu($__m,macro,"Me&nu Icons","cfg_Skin(menuicons)");
else setmenu($__m,macro,"Ski&n Icons","cfg_Skin(skin)");

Thinking about it, the cfg.kmm already contains this:

cfg_Settings{
$ext="cfg"; &getExtensionHandler; $cfg_File=$ARG.".".$ext; $__temp="\\defaults\\settings\\";
$__path=getfolder(SettingsFolder)."\\".$cfg_File; $__data=readfile($__path);
$__data==""?$__path=getfolder(RootFolder).$__temp.$cfg_File:0;

That path needs update to "\\browser\\defaults\\settings\\"

That macro looks for accel.cfg and menus.cfg first in profile folder, then in defaults/settings folder.
But those files are already copied by default into the profile folder anyway.
It would be easiest if the toolbars.cfg would also just have a default copy in the skin folder.

I copied settings and changed the location to make default.

Now the fun thing is that my skins don't have a menuicon.cfg. I do that work in the skin.cfg file.

(we still miss 'Search button' tab in Preferences->Finding websites).

The "Search button" tab isn't showed in Prefs panel because it's commented in XUL code.

Even when not commented, it's still not visible.
And french and russian translations are missing.

Uncommented tab for search button working in attached file for 75b3 (works in 75RC if this file not changed since beta3):
K-Meleon75b3\browser\omni.ja\chrome\kmeleon\content\kmprefs\pref-webfind.xul

But I think that if "Domain Autocompletion" group is disabled because it's not needed now, I can replace it and put the two combo of "Search" tab in "URL bar" tab.

Greetings.

Then again, there are about 3 places where "cfg_Skin" checks the existence of a file!
In Profile/skins, in KM/skins/name() and in KM/skins/name

So not the best, but quickest solution would be to always add both menulines, at least better than "File Not Found":
setmenu($__m,macro,"Me&nu Icons","cfg_Skin(menuicons)");
setmenu($__m,macro,"Skin &Icons","cfg_Skin(skin)");
perhaps with explanation
setmenu($__m,macro,"Me&nu Icons (Trad. skin)","cfg_Skin(menuicons)");
setmenu($__m,macro,"Skin &Icons (Modern skin)","cfg_Skin(skin)");

Additionally it might help to add the menuline "Skin Directory", to just open the folder?
OR - do that instead of FileNotFound? Yeah, like that smiling smiley

@Siria & JamesD

I wouldn't bother about the not found .cfg files for now.
Dorian mentioned earlier that he might still make some changes to the skin system.
Therefore I'd wait for now. Macros are wonderful but the less lines of code, the better. tongue sticking out smiley
As for a solution, I tend to agree with Siria, most simple would be to have the copies of the .cfg files in the skin folder, assuming that their names are matching, so they can be found from the menu as well.

K-meleon 75 RC
Bug or changed fearture:
press the Search Button
Search pannel opens
Type some keyword - press Enter key

Search opens in the same tab! This is bad. It should open a new tab instead!

Some unstranslated strings corrected in french kmeleon.kml

Is there an updated skeleton of kml file ?
Searching for strings in kmeleon.kml, I saw some differences between languages concerning the number of strings, and about organisation of the file. I suppose there is some other missing, modified or no more needed strings, and it's a little necessary to clean it.

Yes, I always make canges to Window Diversion:
Open both Links and URLs 'in a new tab'

Also Typed URLs, Text, Bookmarks:
Open 'in a new tab in background'.

Problem is solved. The file in question

Replace line 271 in main.kmm with:
open($OpenURL, $_HowST);
