Dorian, i added new page in km Wiki about Jsbridge

Sounds promising, but too confusing for me yet without complete examples. Please add a tiny complete kmm, perhaps just for setting a pref? And wondering in which version this kplugin can be used exactly? Sure not for replacing the one in 1.6? How about 1.7,1.8, or depends on gecko version?

Thank you for updating wikipedia too, that was important! smiling smiley

Hi, guys

Does the audio Translator button in Google translate work for you in this version of K-meleon. Seems mine does'n work yet it works in IE and SeaMonkey.

Can anyone one of you confirm or is there any settings I should tweak or tick/untick?

Might be settings. But none that I know.

https://translate.google.de/#en/de/good%20god Click Anhören/Speaker.

IE does not matter. Other engine.

Works for me in Firefox nightly GRE 34a, works in Pale Moon with GRE 24.7.1. Works in Your SeaMonkey and in mine GRE Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.25.

Does not work for me in K-Meleon 74 Release, RC2, RC1 and not in adodupan's 1.8.24 build22 test GRE 24.3.0.

Works for me in naruman's 74.0Beta4+1 with GRE Milestone=24.6.0esrpre.

Works in 1.6b and a 1.7a with GRE 1.9.2.27pre.

1. Has it been added to the final version or will it be provided as an update?
2. Why does the size of one toolbar have to be increased in order to do that?

1. Will be added
2. Set kmeleon.display.lockedToolbarAlt to false and you'll understand

About the crashes, I've fixed what I could. Most of them are due to mozjs, flash, graphic drivers and I've even saw a video codec crash.

1. When will it be added?

I don't know, but I already had 4-5 times in the path of KM74 to final. I thought only was me.

Random! I took exactly the same steps and it did not occur again. Many years ago there was an exe that showed it at times & AFAIR no sure receipe was ever found.

It is IMHO too funny not to post for people who may remember the old search.

p.s. By now I think that something I can not reproduce is NO bug.

Just another old K-Meleon user like JohnHell and me. grinning smiley

Normally I would not stress the browser with so many experiments & never see bugs.

Here this glitch happened after I'd deactivated all addons to test the Google translation site's sounds. Nothing that has to do with much surfing and optics.

My browser skin looks like this normally.

@ JohnHell and Guenter

When the checkmarks background appeared, did you have "Display toolbar background" checked or un-checked in Preferences?

I always have background checked. I use this background by siria as my default for years.

We are testing 74 for long now. AFAIR I have seen it last in 1.5 times or before.

With background, that's what I was going to say. Something related to background, maybe. But in my case they were the drop down "button/arrow".

I captured this the 5th of August:

The problem reported by adXok is IMHO more serious and has a receipe to reproduce.

Another thing is that bugs me more is that spell does not work for me. XP Pro SP3.

Wow!

I have not been around here for some time, but the pace of development here is fantastic! Great work Dorian (and others)! I am left in the dust, still on K-M 74 Beta 4 — I can hardly believe the second RC is already out!
James, I am wondering if you were able to find that tool you mentioned some time ago which saves your K-M preferences and transfers them to the new version of K-Meleon. I use favorites, so the only other things I have to worry about saving are passwords and history. Does this transfer them too, or is your profile untouched by a new installation?

Thanks,
Thomas

AJAX problem.

Google request the length of the word to check, doesn't work and can't send back the xmlrequest. If I understood what HTTPFox/HTTPmonitor is showing.

It wasn't working in Firefox 31 this afternoon because I block csi.gstatic.com through hosts file.

But I removed it and now worked and I could see the different dialogs with the server.

EDIT: no, not either, it was the pre blocked flash, it shouldn't be blocked, nothing to do with csi.gstatic.om

I guess it is needed a later GRE version. Unless it was working in any previous version...

Also is using the embedded player (this is a guess) through HTML5 and maybe it is not included in 24.7 ESR

EDIT, no, no it is flash, sorry, the player is an swf object, aka flash.

I have a method which will make a copy of an entire profile. I never use the old profile. I use parts of it and copy to a new profile. I have a couple of macros which I use to make copies of my permissions and logins in 7Zip format. I can then extract them to a new profile. This requires that you have a modern 7Zip installed and also uses WScript. I will be happy to provide the code if you wish it.

I also use Favorites. I never have to move that. I also have macros which allow me to rename a favorite and save it in a different folder. I can provide you with a link to that. It is in the KM Macro Library.

I don't beleive I have ever cared enough about history to save it, but it should be possible to store places.sqlite the same way that I do permissions.

Just post a note telling me which items you wish.

RC2? flip back at the previous page, Dorian 16.Sep ;-) But still has a few severe probs, so I consider it rather RC3

PS: you may just try to copy your whole profile folder. Except the skin settings, those are in the program folder (but I think they work from the profile folder too, avoids writing probs)

Greetings to Canada. I have studied some time at U VIC, 1975+. Victoria, BC.

On the other side and milenium.

Just copy the used profile folder of any previous 74 into the newly created used profile folder of the new issue. Saves prefs and PWDs and all. ALL WILL WORK. Maybe also skins if U use a non standart skin, and extensions/addons if any FF ones are used.

p.s. Prefs are inside prefs.js ... a mere copy job, no toolz needed.

And all is in used profile. And K-Meleon profiles do not knw their place on HDD or any where. grinning smiley Only relative locations. For default settings...

It does, but the main reason it didn't the first time was I was blocking flash. Flash shouldn't be blocked when loading that page.

In the other reply above I thought could be the GRE version.

1.) Ok. Possibly system specific. Skip fix or ask naruman why he has it going?

OWNER: NARUMAN. If he wants it.

2.) It has been ages that I have last seen it.

AFAIR You had fixed its main reason many years back?

Create a new pref key 'Boolean' [dom.ipc.plugins.enabled] and set it true .
Then restart Km.

dom.ipc.plugins.enabled was disabled becuase it caused problems with the plugin container including the flash plugin.

dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll disbaled fixes some problems with the flash plugin when loading with the plugin container.

But there are two prefs. dom.ipc.plugins.enabled and the one for npswf32.dll.

Did You try with true for dom.ipc.plugins.enabled and false for dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll?

Ok got it with that setting.

Currently playing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ron17xFNBf0

Reproducable freeze when I move the palyer's musik forward to a point that has been loaded but is not playing yet. When the browser is closed it says crashed
on restart.

Only way to prevent toggle dom.ipc.plugins.enabled like Dorian did.

The other pref it seems is not needed (dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll).

With the result that Google tranlator has no sound when needed. sad smiley

The sound on e.g. http://www.dict.cc/?s=playing play no matter what setting.

I admit I have more questions than before I looked into it. sad smiley

It might be a google only problem?

Can a pref be automatically toggled for one site?

You saved me to answer the same, because you already tested everything I did winking smiley

As I said, if I understood httpfox/httpmonitor, the problem might be with the AJAX request.

There is a moment when is measured the lenght of the text that it is in the box. In Firefox 31 there is no problem, but with K-meleon there is an error.

Sorry if I don't post it, but there are url request where you can see the error triggering. You could do yourself with the extension for both browsers.
