I really like the active page search option, I use it instead of my mouse. The only drawback is that there's no way to easily right-click a selection. I press enter rather than left-click.

Additionally, it would be a great help if there were a button to select backwards (like the opposite function of tab.)

In Windows, pressing Shift + F10 performs a rigt-click on the selection. It'd be great if I could do the same in K-meleon and be able to make the browser pull up the appropriate menus (for a link and for copied text.)

In Windows, Shift+tab always selects backwards. For some reason, Shift+F10 doesn't bring up a context menu (most likely, it's set as a keyboard accelerator for something else), but (on a standard Windows keyboard) the key on the right here will always bring up the shortcut menu for the currently selected link or text.
