Just curious, can resource (especially memory usage) be reduced anymore??? K-Meleon 0.4 uses 11.6mb in memory and a total mem of 19.8mb (compare Opera with 6.8mb in memory and total mem of 12.3mb - thats incloding a 4mb memory cache as opposed to 1mb in K-Meleon). Will later versions of gecko's reduce this????
K-Meleon 0.4 is a great improvement over 0.3, the plugin interface is way cool!!!!!!
Just installed Mozilla 0.9. And it uses 36.3mb in memory and 44.8mb total memory. This is slowing down even a 128mb machine unless it ONLY runs mozilla!!!
How does K-Meleon get lower? - does XML interface cause THAT MUCH OVERHEAD???

Yes. Take a look at the size of kmeleon versus mozilla also (right-click on the directory and select properties). On my machine, kmeleon is 7MB, and mozilla is 15mb. That's 8MB of extra *compressed* UI crap.
When I run K-Meleon.exe from Mozilla .90 directory it takes up 23 meg, and on my system Mozilla only takes about 27 meg, so it seems to be the lack of PSM2, shockwave, and everything else making the majority of the difference.
