autoconfiguration of proxy

How do I use a URL_autoconfigured proxy? I've changed what I think are the proper lines of all.js but nothing seems to work.

Well, I read the source code, and the proper proxy type appears to be '2' for this.
However, it still doesn't work for me. I can't even view local files.
