Power Download Manager in K-Meleon.

At least with:
List of files(GUI) in a Tab(Layer for now)\Window.
Max downloading at one time files (other - waits).
Number of parts for downloading file.

Wish based on idea that many of share service don't let to use DownloadManagers-programs. Its use referers, cookies, passes etc.

Integrated in KM powerful DownloadManager could help a lot.

Plus need to be an integers to possibility use it in Download Managers in command line.
Like - %referer% , %cookie data% , %url% , %dir% and many others .

I have a real request for Developers !
Try to explayn smiling smiley
Is it possible to maximal support Firefox extensions API (All exept XUL GUI files - .xul).
To maximal simplify adoptation(translate) FF extensions for KM.
(I've seen structure of .xpi files - imho would be very simple to translate only .xul files to .kmm )

For example. It's exist very powerful extension for Download -
DownThemAll! . It would be very cool use it in KM !!!

It touch not only this extension.
In other words make K-Meleon "like FF without XUL GUI" but easy extendable like FF.

It could be powerfy K-Meleon very much!!!

Imho K-meleon should not supporto firefox extensions because it may become a mighty resource eater as Firefox and we do _not_ want that right? xD

a light download manager is fine, I think resume is the key feature we aspect from a download manager. And folder organization ( by type! )

? I don't see anything in the FAQ that relates to these issues. Whatever. I agree about the FireFox extensions, K-M is a lean browser that should remain so. Too much extra shtuff is too much. I would love to see resumable downloads, however.

I second the resumable download feature. I hope someone can come up with it and share it with the group :-)

I have made extension to integrate some external downloaders (FreshDownload, wxDownload and Wackget), and these have resumable downloads.

Isn't it enough for now ??

Please excuse my ignorance, but which of the macro.cfg and menu.cfg files do you make changes to to make the outside downloader(s) work? I located them in three different locations within the KM Folder. Thanks in advance

I don't modify macro.cfg et menu.cfg.

I just add macros in macros folder (wxDownload.kmm, FreshDown.kmm, Wackget.kmm or Orbit.kmm) and downloadWith.kmm

This new macro system allows to modify menus, toolbars and add functionnalities without touching to the default macros system.

It's perhaps a lit bit harder to handle, but makes macro more modular and allows to disable macros (in advanced prefs)

I'm talking about K-Meleon 1.1, obviously ...

I just want to see an improvement over the current download handling, for starters integrate the download into a toolbar, like the download statusbar does.

Where can you download the "downloadWith.kmm" from? I don't see it on the list

downloadwith is added to the four packages.

Install one of these, and you find then downloadwith.kmm, or download one of these setup folder in zip.

I've tried DownThemAll, but I can't make it work.

I do agree with serek, when using k-meleon's built-in download ability if we could see the status of a download in the status bar that would be great. The ability to double-click the download to open it would be sweetness added.

Download History: having the ability to view the download history would also be a nice feature.

Pause and Resume: Having the ability to pause and resume would be nice too but lets take it one step at a time.

k-meleon: 1.6a4 portable

download them all has been ported a long time ago for kmeleon:
http://kmext.sourceforge.net/files/kmdta-limited.7z
view your downloads in a separate tab, pause and resume anytime later like a download manager, manage your downloads and delete incomplete or redownload.
