this folder isn't created by k-meleon. k-meleon uses the gecko engine but IS NOT a mozilla product nor affiliated with mozilla in any way.

k-meleon using profile.ini will use its root directory for both profile and cache. i.e in portable mode no files or profile settings will be written on the host machine and naturally no keys are added to your registry

check what program(s) created that folder. any mozilla product could have created that folder like:
seamonkey, firefox, thunderbird, songbird or the xul-calendar.

@ helt - It is not sufficient just to have the wish - someone must do it. smiling smiley
It is extra work, it is easy to do & so users can do it themselves.

p.s. Currently K-Meleon creates the entry below via xpcom_core.dll. K-Meleon.exe does the same but knows also Portable (named Single User in current setup).

UserName/%apdata%/K-Meleon

This entry/string in/from xpcom_core.dll is redundant and not wanted for portables.

A bugfix for this problem has been submitted to the dev team. & the team has been asked that compilation is done with this. This way it is no extra work.

It is up to Dorian to OK this as a general change because he makes the official GRE.
