Firefox is having a feature for quicksearch from address bar, for example if you will write "g kmeleon" it shows you google results for a word kmeleon.
(g is defined keyword or nickanme in the bookmark properties)

How to achieve the same in K-Meleon?
(and best in kmeleon 1.1.X line as I'm using 1.1.3 version for a speed and friendly resource footprint, surpassing the latter)

You don't need this in K-Meleon 1.1.X.
Write word to search in URL bar and click in Search button in toolbar.
This search the word in address bar with the search engine selected that you can changed using right click in Search button.
Also you can press Ctrl+G to search instead to click in Search button.

you can also do g kmeleon and y kmeleon(yahoo!) if you enable favourites plugins because km supports internet explorer's keyword search url, reads them from the registry..

it contains a lot of kkeyword searchurls i've collected through the years, before merging the file into the registry; make sure to open it first in notepad to study the keywords or remove search entries you don't need.

already includes g: google and #: google(lucky)

A fast search that assumes that You have set search pref. if URL fails - use search engine Also toggle browser.urlbar.autoFill to true to autocomplete URLs.

So in Advanced Settings - Finding Websites I disabled Domain Autocompletion and enabled "Keyword Autosearch" ..when a typed url failed to load....
